Isshu is Unova.
To be honest, I do like Oshawott. That's kinda cool, and it's like they acknowledged the fan name Wotter.
Just, Snivy? It's just odd. It's alright though too.
Tepig made me lol.
After initial shock, they are okay. Still going with Wotter and Slutleaf/Smugslut as names though.

Mmm, they sound nice. (Just went to edit my Gijinka request with the name Snivy, not to mention the new official art.)
I'm looking forward to what the other Mons will be named.

How is Tepig nice? It's like the worst starter's name so far.

Wantcookie Still calling it Smugleaf. xd I'm resetting for a female, just so I can call her Smugslut. She'll have to know Attract,
Even if I were to pick Pignite, I'd call it Pokabu, that's why Tepig doesn't bother me.

Wantcookie Still calling it Smugleaf. xd Same here. Snivy would be a decent name if it wasn't being compared to Smugleaf. xd I planned to nickname the pig anyway, and it being named Tepig does nothing to change that. It's a decent name, just nothing amazing. Oshawott sounds terrible, though. Fitting, considering the pokémon. I'll probably get used to it once the game comes out and I get to see it constantly, but I'm not liking it initially.

Last time around, with diamond and pearl, I realized that most of the english names suck. For instance, "Froslass" completely manages to remove the connotation "Yukimenoko" had to the Yuki-Onna.

In NoA's defense, how many Pokémon fans are actually familiar with youkai? They probably figured that 'Froslass' gets the 'snow woman' part of it across, and that most people wouldn't know or care about losing the 'Yuki-Onna' part. I don't like it, and I wish they could have done it differently, but I get why they did it. That said, the Japanese names can be pretty terrible as well. 'Gastly' and 'Haunter' are much better names than 'Ghos' and 'Ghost'.

Teehee, Boober.
