Salazar smiled to himself and breathed a sigh of relief. Now he could make sure the girls were safe while he was out. Yep, things were turning out good. At long last the group arrived at a store dedicated to art supplies and such. As they walked into the store he looked at Eve and asked. "Well, what colors do you like?"

Amanda and Valor made it to the village while the moon was still high in the sky, the horse keeping a steady rythm as the went down the street. And Valor was wise to had gotten on the horse with Amanda, because she did kind of drift on the horse, the gentle rocking and the gentle sound of the horse's hooves on the ground. She was leaning against him slightly, making no noise as she slept lightly.

He chuckled and stopped at the home he'd had in mind. He carressed her cheek to wake her, with the simple, soft calling "We're here beautiful"

She opened her eyes slowly and leaned her head into his hand slightly. "Alright, I'm up." She turned her head and looked up at him with a soft smile. After a moment she looked over at the house and her smile got a little bigger, already liking what she saw.

It was average size, not a mansion, but there was definately room to grow. He liked the idea of a family but he wasn't about to press the issue. He'd leave that up to fate.
The exterior had an old world charm, with a large bay window and a place for a graden, a cute little path and blue shutters. He helped her down and led her in, hoping he'd made a good choice.

She smiled and walked into the house, liking the size even though she would have no idea what to do with the space for a long time. She started to wonder through the house, trying to figure out where things would go. "I really like it Valor." She said in a whisper as she wondered to the large back yard.

It was fenced, one tree with a tire swing, the other with a swinging bench. There was pre-tilled land for a garden, and a patio. There was also w 3ft deep circular pool for the warm summers. He knew it wa well within his price range, easily so, and there were plenty more bounties to be had. "I'm glad you're happy." he said with a smile mostly just watching her.

She smiled and walked to the middle of the yard, standing there and looking around. A tear ran down her cheek and she removed her hood. "I want this Valor, I really want this."

He watched giving her room to breath feeling he might be smothering her. "Then it's yours...." he answered in his hoarse whisper.

She turned around and walked over to him, wrapping her arms around him tightly and crying against his chest. "I don't want you to leave me. I want you to live with me in this house."

He craddled her there chosing his words carefully. "This... will always be my home... but I've got to support you... There will be times that I will be away... and I'll miss you something terrible, but it must be done, I've got to take care of you." he said softly into her hair rubbing her back soothingly. Every word was true. His heart had chosen it's path.

She nodded and looked up at him. "I can live with that." She slowly moved away from him, but didn't let him go. "I don't know how to thank you enough, how to... love you enough." She lifted a hand placed it on his cheek.

For the first time in years, a tear streaked down his cheek, and he looked into her eyes. " that you can love me at all is more than enough..." he choked out through the sobs he was trying hard to conceal. His heart felt whole, and his body felt warm. He knew he'd never get this again.

She wiped away his tear and smiled, getting close again and standing on her toes, kissing his cheek and hugging him tight. "I do love you, and know that you will be coming home to me after work."
