Malik hoped into the boat and took himslef and his daughter to the meeting point, getting off while Hunter looked over those gathered and gave a light smirk towards them.

"I don't think you'll get sick this time."

though he was calm and rested his hand on his sword hilt while Hunter spoke.

Great. the necromancer types. nevermind them.

"Okay. you know what we're looking for. I want these caves throughly searched. all except the one area that I will do myself, you are to spread out in. when the Gale Claw arrives, Stampson will inform them of our progress if any has been made and give them the idea. I want to be in and out of here as quickly as possible."

"Captain Neerem, there seems to be a longboat missing..."

"Say what now?" Scowling at the poor messenger of news before she merely waved him off and he made a hasty retreat. "Did we honestly forget someone? I don't leave a single member behind from my crew. Mister Robins, take crew count for me, see what's going on." Raising her spyglass and glancing through it, catching the Chimera's colors. "We'll be at our destination shortly, I want my report before then."

"Sometimes the most imortant people we bring along with us are the ones who are there to support others personally. I like to think that Kaz needs me like I think Savryn needs you. You know those quiet serious types, they need someone to counteract that." Giving a little giggle and a shrug then, "I do, but I doubt he thinks of me in the same manner. He'd say he likes me too, because he likes me. Not in the way that us girls mean such things," making sure she had hold on the elf securly before she flipped into a landing position and alighted a little roughly on the stones, listening to Hunter. Well...for those out of the loop, no that wasn't very good information and well...she had been put on restrictions. Thus raising a hand. "Um Captain...does that mean you just want me to stick around someone else or something?" He had seemed concerned with her being here.

"No, this time I'll probably fall into a hole or something of that nature. My luck seems to run black whenever we're in close quarters. But I assume we're looking for rainbow crystal again." Letting Chy walk down her arm to her forearm she gave a look to him. "Go scope out the dark, Chylithair." A green glow overtaking the creatures eyes to help his own vision in the dark caverns before he flapped off her arm and into the air. Meanwhile, she lifted a boot, and then struck the steel tip to the rock, ears twitching at the sound that was given back to her. Yes, yet another way she worked at 'seeing' her world. "Downward slope, watch your weight."

He nodded and turned to his crew. "All hands on deck!" Going through the ranks, he called out the various names, marking them off on his mental list. Towards the end of the call, he shook his head. "Andrews. Greenley. Mickels. Wilkes." A pause as he got nothing back. "Wilkes? Where in the bloody hell is Wilkes?" He shook his head and his eyes moved around those gathered. "Greenley and Mickels, get your bloody asses below deck. We have a meeting." Thus yanking two of pirates down below deck. "I'll have answers for you shortly, Gem."

"It's nice to be needed sometimes, isn't it? And to know that your personality is what keeps you two so close. I like it. I'm the part of the relationship that allows us to make friends and keep ourselves from getting kicked out of every place we've ever tried to be in. Savvy is...well she's abrasive." She patted Jae's shoulder gently. "I know how that is too. Sometimes men get comfortable with what they have and they need it taken away to really appreciate it. He's very serious, isn't he? Reminds me of my father in that respect."

But very soon they were landing and she felt her feet touch the rocks as she lowered herself down from the dragon's back. "Whatever is happening, I'll stick with you Bell. Savvy has her father to keep her company right now so she doesn't need me. Besides this is the very thing that she just loves. Dark, dank, and probably full of death...." Joy.

Malik nodded and took his daughter light by the arm, letting her rest her hand on his arm and started working their way into the tunnel system. it was dark, but their natural night vision made it very easy for him to see.

"Dank, but you can almost smell the death in here..like a thousand deaths have filled this place. nothing recent though. perhaps this was some old fort built into a mountainside or something."

Hunter regarded the dragon-kin for a moment.

"Stay with the elf. keep to the farther left areas, and help out where you can. just keep away from the right of this place."

that was all his, and they did go into the tunnels, leaving the one man to wait outside for the Claw. Hunter took his path with speed, moving with the motions of someone that knew there way very well.

down the tunnels with him, and through various connections and the like, till he found a steel door. a slight smirk at the door before pulling the gold compass of his neck, opening the beck of it, and piecing together a key from the parts hidden in it. then that door was opened, and closed and locked behind him.

"It's been a long time, hasn't it..."

"For bloody sakes, it's own problem after another. I dare ask what bad luck has latched itself to my ship." Shaking her head and collapsing her spyglass, tucking it into her vest before she pulled out a silken green ribbon and bound back fiery waves that were her hair. Bad luck indeed...what did she think she was doing when she struck this deal? The payoff wasn't showing up just yet. "And someone bring me the loot Hunter dropped off with us, put it in my cabin. Helmsman, dock right along side the Chimera. I want to be so close I can jump onto it's deck...."

"Very serious and very duty minded. Also he thinks he offends when he really doesn't. But that's him...he's not all work and bother, he does have a fun side. Just have to pull it out of him." Listening to Hunter and then looking back to Shyrae. "Well, looks like we're together anyway and we're taking the left things. Come on...though I don't know if we'll find anything in here." Shrugging and starting off, swaying her tail behind her a bit. "Do you have that special vision that other elves have? I can see fine in the dark if you need me to lead."

A look over at the nudge to her person before she did indded lightly rest her hand on his arm, letting him be the eyes for the moment. Yes he was still being granted the privilage of her dependency on her need for him to see for her...or at least see better and more accurately. A look to her shoulder then as Chy landed once more, holding a still squirming rat. "Do not eat that on my shoulder...take it elsewhere or don't have it at all and get yourself one on the way back out." Shaking her head lightly before her ears twitched to her father's voice. "It's stuffy...or maybe it was a crypt of some sorts. Not a fabulous well kept one, but still it's the possibility. Then again...humans are known to crawl into places like this they think safe and die a death most foul."

Thobias appeared above deck with the two men in grasp a moment later. "Yardarm for both of them." Grabbing a bottle of rum, he drank about half of it and then threw the bottle over the side. "They only know he's been sneaking off. Greenley thinks he's working for someoen else on the side. I'm inclined to agree." He shook his head. "That's all I could find out."

"I'll bet you are one of the only ones who can actually do that." She nodded to Hunter and then stayed next to Jae, glancing down the caverns. She did chuckle for a moment. "Yes, I have that special vision. I grew up in a place much darker than this. Learned to walk and tie my own boots and everything." Thus heading off and watching the rocks in case they were loose. "I wonder why we aren't supposed to go to the right..." She wrinkled her nose for a moment. "That's probably where he hides all his dead bodies."

Eilynne glanced into the caverns and shook her head. "Very nice timing, Captain Nereem. I appreciate those who do not waste my time." A glance at the two pirates before they were completely dismissed from her mind and she nodded to the caverns. "Ready to go look? There might be something worth finding in there. I believe we should split up since there's more than one way through it."

"Oh and it's such a pleasure to have you back to see me."

a honey sweet voice cooed out, though it dripped with sarcasm. chains rattled around, while the figure moved from one area to another. pillows and bedding were everywhere, fine oils and lanterns and candles. broken eggshell and cooking supplies.

"So, you looking for more sex, or are you looking to finally be a good man and gentleman and let me out of here?"

"Neither. at the moment, I want to talk with you about someone I met. who bears some unusual resemblances. but it too young to be a b*****d child from before we met."

"Oh? praytell...you think I've been out and about from this wonderful little place you've given me?"

finally walking into the light, the female dragon-kin crossed her arms. she was bronze in skin color, and had fiery hip length red hair. her eyes were red..and she had two slopping horns the curled just at the end like hooks. she wore a loincloth and a one shoulder haltertop..and jewelry on her arms and thigh. she had a chain around her ankle and one around her neck. no balancing spikes or blades anywhere, including on her tail.

"Ooh did I hear yardarm. Wonderful, someone bring Mister Robins a deck chair and a sling shot to make things more interesting." Watching as he own vessel slid up along side Chimera. "Sneaking off eh, well the moment he comes back, I want him strung up there too and then I'll have a personal talk with him." Turning a look to Eilynne, "Much welcome little one though I have to decline helping you, you have full use of my men. Mister Robins, watch my ship...I have another captain to flay." Thus hopping the space between ships over to the other deck and strolling along it, kicking open the door to Hunter's cabin. "Well...seems he's not it." Thusly taking a seat on his bed...she'd just wait.

"Mostly, I know the key to getting him out and about." Bell nodded to the elf, "Good, makes it easier for the both of us then." Walking along and looking around the place some. "It's dark and wet and I don't think much else. Why are we here again? The pirates seem to know this area well, or at least captain does...so why are we looking here when he knows or probably knows that we won't find anything here in the first place?" Turning a look back to Shyrae. "Or maybe his breakables. I'm horrid to have around those."

Eventually she plopped down on a rock and crossed her arms, giving a snicker. "This is pointless...and boring." Hm...where oh were could thier dear captian be and how could she make his life hell? If she could find his round about location through tracking and then errode the cave walling some...well she could create quite the nice little cave in. Oh why the hell now, let's play. Thusly a spark of green from her hand before she pressed it to the wall with a smirk. Wouldn't be too hard to trace him...all she had to do was single out his little signal of life.

Thobias got the two pirates strung up, though it took a while just to make it so much more fun. There was a quite of bit of laughing and rum drinking during the whole process but then it was time to get back down to work. "Come on men, we have sparkles to find and looting to be done."

Nodding, she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Like I know how to calm Savvy down. It's important to know their little quirks and how to make things happen." She swiped a finger along the wall and frowned at the wetness. "We're supposed to be finding something, I think. I'm not really sure anymore. This is not a pleasant place at all and I agree. We aren't going to find anything in here." She gave a giggle at Jae and looped her arm through the dragon's. "He doesn't have any breakables except rum. Gold and gems are pretty indestructible."

Caden of course came along, he was just quite for the trip and now he was walking along with the others who didn't go off with Hunter, after all in a place like this it could span for miles so there was much to check out. So as Caden walked the hard path laid out before him he kept his senses sharp and his body ready to react, just because this seemed like an okay place to stop by doesn't mean that nothing has made a nest in here in the past few days. "Bloody place is duller than a dry spell at the tavern." He muttered as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, his eyes scanning the area slowly.

the pirates were going through only tombs, parts of what looked like old defenses to burial chambers for the shards..thought they didn't need to worry about loot.

Hunter crossed his arms lightly.

"You earned your place here. and I haven't seen any others of your kind that have your traits but this one recently. which leads me to think that yes, you have figured a way to get out of here."

She gave him a glare.

"Earned my place here?! going to go through this again are we? you betrayed me and left me here chained up in a room so small that even to transform, if the collar didn't snap my neck, I would barely be able to move! and for what? because some little bilgerat told you I was being unfaithful?"

Hunter lean forward, pointing a finger at her.

"You were planning to trade me off to him for your own gain! you were going to take the Chimera and leave me with Him simply becuase I didn't want to give up piracy to live on some atoll or city!"

"I would never have turned you over to that dog, and you damned well know it you paranoid idiot! and here I sit, forced to hope to get pregnant so that I can canibalize my own eggs when you forget to bring me food!"

"Well you got what you wanted didn't you, off the sandseas! so here's your gilded cage! except apparently you have found some way to sneak out and play whore!"

That got him decked, and she shook her hand lightly before glaring at him.

"We can go back and forth until the sands turn to rock. and no, I haven't found a way to get myself out of this gilded cage. if I had I certainly wouldn't still be here you damned pirate."

"Then how do you explain it, woman? how do you explain another that holds the same patter of blades that you do?"

"I said I haven't found a way out. that doesn't mean I didn't find a way to get a few of the eggs you left me with out. and even so, I'm not the only dragoness that has this particular blade issue. so how are you so sure it's mine in the first place, hmm?"

Malik did look around, picking up a few things.

"It does seem as if this place was long since ransacked, doesn't it."

though watching his daughter for a moment.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean after all, what if he's summoning demons or making deals with devils or something."

A slight grin over at her.

Kaz had seen Jae fly off with Shyrae on her back, giving the pirate with whom he was playing a game of chess just enough time to change some pieces around and wipe out any possible chance the young Commander had of winning the game. He sighed lightly and handed over the three gold pieces to the man before walking away. There was no use arguing with the pirate, cheating was only cheating if you're caught. Taking to the air instead and letting the breeze whip through his hair to clear his mind, he followed the others into the caverns that Hunter had led them too. Good thing dragons could adjust fairly well darkness. "You spend a lot of time at the taverns, Raynes?" Taking a long stride forwards to fall into step beside the human guard.

Now Caden didn't realized that the commander was actually there, he was thinking more along the lines of a pirate or two had followed him for the sake of exploring and maybe even finding something worth keeping. "Eh sort of, it's close to where I live but I stop there form time to time on my regular schedule when working, there is always a fight or two that needs to be broken up." A small nod to that as he kept on walking, his eyes have now adjusted to the darkness so he could see the walls and even the uneven floor he was walking on, though he could easily see the outline of Kaz without a problem what so ever, after all he has worked nights as much as he worked days so he has made his night eyes without too much trouble. "So what do you think we are here for? Do you think Hunter is up to something?"
PostPosted: Sat Jul 07, 2007 1:54 pm

He kept both eyes ahead, watching for any signs of... well, anything. The close encounter with the beast last time had left dozens wounded and a few dead. No one should have to risk that much this time. "Always? Brawls happen often in the taverns?" A mildly surprised glance to the guard. "I don't remember you being assigned on street patrol often, Raynes. Everyone has his own place. Stay in yours, don't let others distract you." Taking a few more steps forwards, they came upon a fork of sorts, gaping holes in the stone wall revealing two dark passages. Hunter had ordered them to keep away from the right... Kaz and curiosity were sometimes not a good mix. "We are searching for shards of the Orb, as always." Pausing, he regarded the two choices... Left or right? "There is obviously something he is hiding. His threats have long since betrayed the importance of his secret and to what ends he would go to keep it from us."

She gave her own melodic laugh. "Well, they do cherish thier rum from time to time. It may be a high offense now can't it?" Shaking her head and looking up as some water dripped on her head but she just shook her head lightly. Wet and drippy, this wasn't pleasant. "Think we should start heading back then?" Stumbling a little for a moment but regaining herself...stupid rocks. "Wish he had waited for Eilynne and the little Lord. They would of told us if this was a fruitless search or not before we started..."

"Ransacked or overused, whichever you think more prevailent." Ah there he was tucked away in a little pocket of cave...though it seemed another lifeforce was with him...no matter, what did she care if someone else got hurt or killed. Especially if it was another human. She lacked her mother's sense of morals sometimes and other times they popped up in her. Was a mood thing and well...Hunter had spited her, tried to use her, and thought her worthless on a level or two. Therefore, no sympathy for those he was cohorts with either. "Then maybe he'll slip up and I can have a new puppet to play with. It would be most appropriate...not like I'm killing him, it's up to him if he dies. Besides...it's only a little rock fall in." Raising her other hand that sparked as well and slapping it against the rock, sending a burst of necromantic energy along the first life path she had already traced to him with a smirk that could match one of her father's on his bad days. "We'll see how you like to be toyed with, Hawk..."
