I just bought and watched 30 days of night. I so should have done research on that one. It sucked! I feel like i waisted my money on it and that is should have coast me about 3 dollars instead of what it did!

Personally I think you're crazy. I loved 30 Days of Night. Speaking of love...Iron Man was very good.

I dug it too. I thought it was a great return to old school horror, and did great justice to the original story. I just wish that they'd made the movie before Blade 2, because the ending probably looked awfully derivative to casual audiences. sweatdrop

Well, I loved Iron Man. It makes me like Iron Man. I've only ever read Iron Man after/during Civil War, so I don't like who ever that is.

Skrull. Also, go buy Extremis.

Extremis?

I watched the subs, and I totally had the same reaction to that scene. I was hooked the minute Tequila ******** up the balding guy with the teapot, but probably my favourite scene was the running battle between Mad Dog and the crane guy after Tequila leaves to get the babies out. For some odd reason I've always found defenestration to be the coolest thing possible in a gun fight, so repeated voluntary defenestration is like the pinnacle. xd

I've wanted to see Hard Boiled for literally a decade now, so no I haven't seen any of the rest. Since I generally look to you for recommendations on that side of things, I will. xd

I think that if I'd seen Hard Boiled before The Departed, I wouldn't have thought much of The Departed. Hell I just watched A History of Violence and Eastern Promises back to back. I'm almost drowning in epic manly movies, but I love every minute of it. Next up is probably going to be Black Rain
Black Rain = big win.

The running gunfight in the hospital was incredible. When they both stopped cold when the people would have been caught in the crossfire my jaw was on the floor.

A Better Tomorrow was the first time Chow Yun Fat and John Woo worked together. Intense film and at the time it had every teenage boy in Hong Kong wearing French sunglasses and chewing on toothpicks. It was Chow Yun Fat's big break.

The Departed was taken from the Chinese movie Infernal Affairs which I haven't seen. The most brutal cop movie I've seen out of Asia is SPL starring Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung and Jing Yu. The alleyway knife fight is the most brutal thing I've seen since the hallway fight in Old Boy.

I haven't seen SPL or Oldboy yet- they're high up the list- but the sauna knife fight in Eastern Promises was pretty insane. Part of me was just frozen in a trance at the scene and the other part was thinking "I'd like to see Sasha Baron Cohen try that." xd

The best part about all this is that I get to call it research. ;D

That kind of depends on what you look for in a vampire flick. In all honesty, 30 days of night reminded me more of a zombie flick, only difference was that the zombies actually talked with each other. Then again, I'll admit personal bias on that, being a long time VtM player.

SPL is excellent. The baton/knife fight in it is amazing. Loved Eastern Promises too. The fight in the sauna was brutal.

Indeed, which is why I said old school horror instead of old school vampire. You're right in that it felt much more like a zombie movie, but then I think the comic did too.

What can I say, when it comes to horror I tend to be an elitest. All in all, fun flick, though not as great as I had hoped it to be.

Iron Man on the other hand...great film.

With the rise of torture porn, it is a sensible position to take.

As for Iron Man, I've certainly raised the stakes. Now let's see what you've got. domokun

Dark Knight is going to the the highlight of the summer. As good as Iron Man was, my favorite part was the new DK Trailer.

"Don't suppose ya heard bout that leaked photo a me, did ya Bruce? Early render and makeup of Eckhart as Two-Face got out. Heard but didn't look, like to keep atleast that a secret. Heard it was ugly as hell though, in a good way."

I can vouch for that claim! It was really awesome.
