First of all, I'd like to say this is still in the works and is subject to change. I have been meaning to make one for the longest time now so I suppose thinking about it won't help me get started, yeah? As far as I know, there are already several other brilliant nd intelligent essays by several Sasusaku Hardcore OTP fans that contain these moments, episode chapters, data book evidences, so I'll just skip over that and just give my point. I apologize in advance for having to bring Narusaku into this essay at times. I will have you know that although I believe there is a possibility of Narusaku becoming canon, I still believe that Sasusaku is my OTP and therefore, defend it until the final drawn curtain. Usual responses to anti-fans to Sasusaku:

x Sasusaku is too cliche.

I think main characters pairing up is cliche. For instance, the female and male protagonists of the story, I'm sure you know where I'm getting at so I won't expound further. Secondly, just because it has been commonly done does not mean that it will also happen in Naruto. Classic example: Goku and Bulma.

x Sakura was in love with Naruto in the beginning ever since the Wave Arc.

Let me state this again: Eye contact or blushing does not always signify romantic inclinations! So Sakura saw Naruto in a new light with his quick thinking and confidence, does not mean she is suddenly attracted to him. In fact, Naruto was known to be an idiot then, an idea coming from him to save the entire Team 7 is already impressive that even Sasuke thought so too (even if he didn't say it out loud).

x She only likes Sasuke for his looks.

If she was that shallow, she wouldn't stick with him for so long. Even after knowing his faults and short-comings she still tried to stop him from leaving the village and confessing her feelings to him on the spot in desperate attempts to be with him. Take note, I said 'to be with him' not 'ask him to stay' that is because she stated that she would rather even go with him to Sound as long as he wouldn't leave her. In short, she was ready to run away with him, betray her village, leave her family all for the sake of him. And if this little lady isn't ready to go to Hell and back for Sasuke, I don't know what else to call this.

Sakura could have had a much easier way out by liking the guy who already likes her. It would be a LOT easier to attach herself to a man who didn't lead such a complicated and angsty life of revenge, bloodshed and betrayal.

x She doesn't understand how he feels. She doesn't know the loneliness that Sasuke has.

The lonliness that Sasuke and Naruto share are different as well. Naruto for having been abandoned and hated all his life... Sasuke having lost all his loved ones to his brother. Even during the fight between Sasuke and Naruto, Sasuke screamed, "What the hell would you know? You never lost anyone to begin with!!" Secondly, this very statement could backfire on Narusaku as well. How would Sakura understand the loneliness Naruto felt? She has never been hated by the village or lived without any parents.

Thirdly, what's a girl like Sakura to do? Would it please audiences if all of Team 7 shared tragic lives? Would it help if Sakura's parents were killed off or some monster was sealed in her to bring her to both their angsty level to understand them!?

x This couple will happen when hell freezes over.

Then, prepare for a blizzard. stare I'm not saying that it will really happen. I don't know Kishimoto's mind and plans afterall. I'm just pointing out to people not to be close-minded about the possibility of this pairing. And it's not like I'll dive over a cliff if it never happens either.

x Not another Sasusaku thread! gonk

I don't start it but that doesn't mean I'll just stand here and let you say what you like. You attack, I counter. That's how a debate goes, doesn't it? If you can't even bring up anything intelligent to say, then why bother entering a thread of something you hate, say something nasty about it and then leave and tell others to go away when they argue about your statement. The usual, "Well it's my opinion" is an easy way out of a discussion. Noobish replies will get b***h-slapped. I don't take kindly to those who troll.

Narutofan forums has been pissing me off if i see another "500 internal server error" i'll throw my computer all the way down my street. Its annoying.

I really do hate the entire "Sakura is Sasuke's/Naruto's prize." or "Does Sasuke/Naruto deserve Sakura?"

I've said it once, and I'll say it again.

Sakura is not a mere THING. She is a human being, just like Sasuke and Naruto. She thinks, feels, wants, sees, talks, and has a personality just like everyone else. She is not a mindless doll, and she is not a slave.

She will NOT get with Naruto unless she likes him (and that is undetermined at this point), and Sasuke will NOT get with her unless he likes her (whichi is undetermined at this point as well).

This is a series targeted to the youth. Basically stating; it most likely won't end up a tragedy, and because Kishimoto is constantly talking about romance in the story, I believe that a couple WILL get together.

Let's remember, that if it's going to be a happy ending, with a couple, then the two people will like/love each other. BOTH.

Sakura's feelings won't get shoved aside, and she won't all of a sudden hurl herself onto the first one who shares his feelings.

I think a lot of NaruSaku AND SasuSaku fans (Actually, ANY hardcore fan of a pairing that includes Sakura) don't realize this. YES, it's a shounen manga, and YES the main character is a boy. But YES, Sakura IS a main character as well, and I can't see Kishimoto pair her up with anyone without the proper evidence that HE likes HER, and SHE likes HIM.

I think that NaruSaku COULD be canon. But with the evidence given, it'd be a fling, as Naruto hasn't said anything about LOVING Sakura in a romantic way, and Sakura's only flirted with Naruto (Girls flirt. Get over it.) and she's never said/shown anything past LIKING Naruto, and it's undetermined if that's romantic.

I also think that SasuSaku could be canon. With the evidence given, we know that Sakura at least LOVED Sasuke (I just find it hard to believe that her feelings would change after such a dramatic confession). If she doesn't anymore, she hasn't said anything about it. As for Sasuke, we don't know that he likes/loves her, but we DO know that he CARED. We also know:

1. He needs to revive the clan.
2. The only girl he knows personally is Sakura.
3. Do you REALLY think he's the type to actually put forth effort to look for another girl? The manga doesn't have time for that.

Which brings up another point. Let's take a look at Naruto and Sasuke's personalities for a split second.

Naruto: A hyperactive knucklehead ninja. Very OUTGOING. Loves people, and loves making friends.
Sasuke: A cool and collected prodigy. Not outgoing, and doesn't seem to like lots of attention and crowds of people.

Now. With Naruto's love for people, and Sasuke's not-so-love for it, don't you think that Naruto would have more chances to find someone OTHER THAN Sakura that he likes than Sasuke does? Lets remember:

From the beginning of the series, Naruto and Sasuke basically had no friends. Up until much later in the manga, we see a change in that.

Sasuke has made friends with who? Naruto and Sakura.

Who has NARUTO made friends with? ALL of the reast of the Rookie 9, PLUS Team Gai, AND Gaara of the sand.

What I'm saying is, to me, Sasuke wouldn't go looking for someone as much as Naruto would. So I think that Sasuke would get Sakura because of this, while Naruto, in his love of meeting people, would meet someone else that he really likes, and may learn to love. In my PERSONAL opinion, I'm rooting for Hinata, but this is just a point I'm using to defend and put more sense to SasuSaku.

To be honest, Ever since Shippuuden came out all Ive heard was how great the couple has been, no real anything behind their reasoning. And all Ive seen was how Sasuke x Sakura has been attacked. Well, to me that is. Im not saying anything about victimizing because I have seen some SasuSaku fans do the exact same thing. Attack. And thats not what its about. If you like a pairing thats cool, but you dont have to force your opinions upon others. Thats wrong and its not going to work. No one likes to be forced.

But I mean, just someone of the messages that Ive been getting talking about "blah blah blah. Why do you hate it again." And then after a clean debate. Where I have yet to meet someone to lose to, they start getting bitchy because Im not looking at it their way, when they know I know exactly where they are coming from.

Gahhh. Im so sick of this. But hey, we all knew it was coming once the timeskip started.

I'm a HUGE SasuSaku fan and would like to join. In fact, they're my favorite Naruto pairing!

I'm sorry, but this is why I'll NEVER like NaruSaku. Even if the relationship sometimes strikes me as cute, I will never support it.

The level of tardism I have seen in this fandom astounds me to this day and has always managed to turn me off. Anti-SasuSaku/Rabid NaruSaku fans simply cannot keep to themselves. They always have to make a case-in-point about "HOW NARUSAKU IS BETTER THAN SASUSAKU" or "You're blind if you think SasuSaku will still happen." It's to the point where they attack us for making FANART of SasuSaku and telling us to "go die." -___-

I'm perfectly aware that other non-narusaku fans also bash the pairing/pairing-fans, but it has never been to as much extent.

One of the reasons why I'm always content with the SasuSaku fandom is because we don't run amuck with WANK & WANGST. The majority of the fandom doesn't attack unless provoked to do so- something that is occurring more and more often. We never go around posting "NARUSAKU SUCKS (unless provoked)," or "LEESAKU sucks." I know because if we were anything like the NaruSaku fandom, I would not have stuck around for four years. confused

I myself don't like certain pairings but I never go around saying "BURN IN HELL" or "GO DIE PLZ."

Honestly, telling people off because of their preferences only makes you out to be the a**.
