Zendia made her way to the galley, where Owen was allready there, chowing down. Getting in line, she scanned the various articles for her perusal.
"Despite the name, the 'Quarren Roadkill' is actually a lot more savory than it sounds," the Mon Cal chef offered.
Zendia thanked the cook with a chuckle. "All right, then. I'll take this Quarren Roadkill, then," She then requested some blue milk, before making her way over to the table where Owen and some other man were.

When the woman walked up he reconized her from the file. She was also younger that him. Also about twenty. He sudenly felt old. Well the file said there was a 36 year old to so maybe not. he found a seat and re-introduced himself.

"Greetings to you, Dai-po." Zendia warmly greeted the newcomer. "Welcome to Emerald Squadron. My name is Zendia Starsinger," She then turned to Owen. "You're here as well," she said.
"A minute of your time, gentlemen?" she queried, unsure of how to break the news. Some folks in her position would be thrilled at the news. However, as for herself, she hoped that she could prove worthy of the title that now lay on her tiny shoulders, along with the responsibilty that came with it.

"A pleasure to meet you. I hope i am fitting for the job." The fakeness of his emotion was almost dripping out from between his tightly pressed lips. He disliked contact but he needed to make a good first empression so he trudged on. "Hmm?"

Zendia cleared her throat, addressing both Owen and Dai-po. "I talked to the old man a minute ago," she began, refering to Orrin. "And, in light of recent events, I have been bumped up to squad leader," Turning to Dai-po, she stated, "We need all the pilots we can get. I imagine you'll do fine. Welcome to Emerald Squadron!"

"Thank you. I'll do my best." He might not be a great dogfighter however he could out manuver any jedi. Okay, that was an over estimate. But he flew better than most. The glasses on his face slumped down his nose and he pushed them back up. "Do you mean Kefka? My files mentioned that he was captured." A younger human, same age as these two more or less.

"Yes," Zendia replied. "he was shot down over Hoth. However, he did manage to go EV before a shuttle appeared, presumably taking him into custody."
(( do new recruits get files now? eek and, seeing as it's a fairly recent event, how would such be known? 'course, if Nelo allows it, I'll let it fly as well. Otherwise, a spot o' editing may be needed ... ))

"Hmm, well, the file only mentioned that he was M.I.A. That's all knew untill now." He pondered that fact. Captured by the Imperials? Not a good thing. He was a squad leader so they'd push him hard for info. "However, if he was taken than he'll be on a well protected prison. He'd be a little to important to kill, right?" This was all speculation from the few facts he did have.
((It's only logical that a new recruit would get a breifing, a file on his crew mates. And that file would logically carry up to date info. Correct?))

Azure hurried down the halls to the galley. She was starving. She rounded a corner and literally ran into a tall Twi'lek male, who also had blue skin. "Oh. Soorry," she said embarrased. In an attempt to get out of each outer's the way they both stepped to the right, then to the left in unison. "My apoligies, madame," the man said stepping aside and bowing. "Thank you." Azure said and went on. When she reached the galley she grabbed some food and slumped into a seet with her squadmates. "Well, Zendia. Looks like you're in charge now." she said as a way t congratulate her friend.

((While it would be up to date, it probably would not mention the MIA in files yet. I mean he went missing only several hours ago. Its not like there's been much time for processing yet. The fleet is more worried about relocation, more than the whereabouts of a single pilot. Just imagine Luke. He'd be MIA, and then AWOL. So in essence, the knowledge of Kefka's disappearance might be listed as KIA at best. Probably not even that, unless you can manage to find out which rebels are missing or not. If you data suggests Kefka's gone, then every soldier killed on Hoth would have been accounted for as well.))
Orrin couldn't finish the meal. There was always a lag in between battles, the stillness after adrenaline rushes. He considered the features of the next mission, as he headed back to his room.

Zendia chuckled to Azure. "Thanks." After a moment, she added, "It feels strange to be called 'boss'," she stated, allowing it to sink in.

"Oh, congratulations, Zendia." Owen said, looking at the squad-mates around him. This was it, then, Kefka was gone. Somehow the fact that he'd been assigned a replacement was like the nail in the coffin. "You'll do fine."

Wow, everybody seemed to congragate in the galley. He introduced himself yet again. "Well it was nice to meet you all but I must be going." The tray in front of him was empty and he wasn't hungry so he'd try to sleep for a couple of hours. The cabin that'd he had been assigned was half a ship away. When he did get there he looked out a small window that was position out side the window. "Already dar-" He had just remember in space it's always dark. I've been on land way to long. With this he retired for the 'night'.
