Jasper tilted his head slightly as he listened to the younger boy speak. Being too strong for the local wild Pokemon hadn't really been a problem for him. After all, it wasn't long after exiting Union Cave that he and his party had pissed off a wild Arbok, the resulting battle being the trigger for Croconaw's evolution, and that had been just south of here. The bandanna-clad boy scratched his chin. "I dunno, have you gone south at all? They're not exactly pushovers down there..." he trailed off as he studied the boy, realizing it probably wasn't overly polite to send an unsuspecting kid right into the path of an Arbok, and he frowned slightly.
"Alternative training method? What do you mean, like steroids or something?" Immediately after Jasper said that, however, he realized that the boy probably meant he was looking for another trainer to practice with. Luckily for him, however, he was rather glib, and he quickly recovered, playing it off as though it were a joke. "I'm just kidding, had you going there, didn't I?" He forced a believable laugh, but it trailed off as he realized the implications behind the boy's statement. He'd never really trained with anyone before, as he, Jett and Scarlet had really only just been traveling companions. "So did you like... wanna battle or something?" Jasper asked finally, hoping he didn't sound as lame as he felt. "I'll even go easy on ya." 'Oh, that's wonderful, Jasper. Now you sound like an arrogant jackass. Nicely played.'

"Oh you got her from Keegan's parents? No wonder! I should've known." Few breeding centers pumped out finer fire Pokemon. "Same with Nitro." Mike smirked, pointing a thumb to the dragon behind him. "I got him from the Summers's four years back for my birthday. Stupid Keegan knew and kept telling me it wasn't going to happen." He shook his fist in false anger. "But you lucked out. His parents know their stuff."
Mike only had to take a quick glance at Nova before replying to Hayley's question. "Not quite yet." he put his hands on his hips. "You've got a little way to go before she can compare to your big brother, huh Nova?" Nitro smirked at the comment, giving the Charmeleon a pat on the head before using her as a type of arm rest.
Unable to understand the concept of complete and utter rejection, Beacon took Shocker's intensive need to be rid of him like a true champ, and rolled over on his back, flailing and spitting like the scholar he was. Mike watched in amusement, quite positive that if they weren't transformed into a type of energy inside their Pokeballs that the Ampharos would more than likely drown in his own drool. Feeling that it would most likely be wise to wrap up show and tell (people were starting to stare), Mike began recalling them one by one. Knowing it was time to go, Titanium reached over and gently scooped up the little tyke that was so kindly cleaning him so he didn't fall to the ground when he was recalled. Soon it was just Napalm, Nitro and Beacon left. "Oh, before I forget, Nitro. I'm letting you rest for a bit. I'm gonna give some of the little ones some training. Beacon'll look after them."
The look on the Charizard's face at the idea of Beacon leading anything whatsoever was nothing short of horrified. Nitro looked at his trainer, then over to the Ampharos, who was now licking the dirt, and gestured as if to say 'Are you kidding me right now? Look at him!' Besides! He had always been team dad! Sensing his Pokemon's obvious jealousy, Mike sighed. "I know, buddy. Trust me. I just wanna give you a little rest. You've been going non-stop for days now and I don't want you getting over-worked" Even if it was true, Nitro was still far from pleased. The boy crossed his arms. Just then, a thought occurred. "You could battle for it if you really must." Nitro's eyes lit up. Just what he wanted to hear! Nitro whipped around, his claws and fangs bared, fully ready to tear into the brainless little sheep creature. However, as soon as he turned to face his opposition, his gaze wasn't met with a prone, drooling target, but instead a blast of lightning so powerful it sent him spiraling backwards. Achieving more torque than a rifle round, Nitro hit the ground twenty feet away with a crash, completely out of commission in a single hit.
Mike stood in astonishment. His strongest, most powerful partner had just been one-shotted by the team idiot. Type advantage or not, that was completely unexpected. "Holy s**t!" Mike practically shrieked, looking over at the skid-mark formally known as Nitro, then to Beacon. Having now tasted blood, the Ampharos had turned to Napalm and slapped his flippers against his chest, all but begging him to come at him, bro. Not feeling like becoming a smear in the ground, the Magmortar put his hands up and took a step back. Once again, Mike was shocked. "I guess that's it then!" he said with a surprised but absolutely delighted laugh. "Looks like Beacon's taking over for now." He recalled the rest of his Pokemon and looked over at Kasi, laughing again. "What just happened?" While Riza and Hayley might not have just understood the depths of absolute absurdity the last two minutes just graced them with, he knew she would.

Ken couldn't belt but chuckle at Jae's excitement, and just sort of stood near the entrance while the young man shopped for his needs. A TM by the looks of it, which one though he could only guess. He was more concearned with the upcoming battle, it was just a training session and his pokemon were gonna have to hold back some from the sounds of it, but it should still be fun. Kenneth considered calling Rowan, but he figured he'd do that later. Maybe during the gym challenge when it happened, or at a time he knew Jae wouldn't be able to hear. Not that he liked being secretive, but the nature of the conversation was in fact quite sensetive and oddly enough not for Jae's ears despite him being the subject. Once the shopping was done and they were out, he just grinned as he looked around thinking of the perfect venue. "Well we should battle near the center. That way you can get your pokemon healed up so their in top shape once you think you've trained enough. That's probably best. With that he had already started walking, hands in his pockets and moving with conviction. "I'm afraid I have no grass types, otherwise I'd be able to help you see what you're up against with Gardenia. But general training is never a bad thing either. Besides me thinks I have a few tricks up my sleeve that might help after all...." Ken had an ear to ear grin that was borderline evil as he plotted the fun ways to play with his little Jae doll, even if he hadn't gotten to dress him up this time. Uhg, if only such a thing were possible.

The light was growing brighter through the cave walls, and Crenu knew that could only mean he was getting clsoe to the end. Then again, it might have been the beggining. He'd gone through quite a few tunnels and might have gotten turned around, but he was relatively certain he hadn't backtracked. Carmen was also being vigalent, perched with her arms and head over Crenu's right Shoulder, she scanned the cave for threats. A Paras scurried out in front of them curiously looking about, but Carmen mentally scattered some rocks on the ground at the small bug type quickly ran off clearly startled. Crenu just looked at Carmen for a moment, then patted her hand in approval. The young pokemon was over joyed at the attention, and clung to him happily as they made their way through the next tunnel into what Crenu assumed was the last large cavern that Mt. Moon had to offer.
"Why are you even doing, going to her?" Ayane chimmed in, suddenly appearing by Crenu's side. "You practically had to beg her to invite you you know. I mean, she even said only if you wanted to. She always says that. If you want to, if you feel like it, so on and so fourth. Man she doesn't even want you there, that's whay she never says it directly. Giving you the chance to opt out, duh she obviously wants you to say no every time. You shoulda stayed home with meeee." The ghostly figure winked as she clung onto Crenu's arm, looking at him longlingly.
Crenu however just ignored her as usual, and kept walking. But if his mind was determined to have a conversation with itself, he decided to at least humor it. It was a good thing this final area was clear of trainers and people, or they would see the tall blond talking to himself. "That's not true. I know it's not true. If I were you, which I obviously am, I'd stop trying to convice myself of things that I don't actually believe. She wants me with her."
"How do you know that?"
"She asked me to come. I didn't ask to go to where she was, I didn't even ask where she was. She said she wanted me there, didn't even care if I cheered. Just...just wanted to have me with her." Crenu smiled a bit as he said that, Carmen meanwhile was curiously staring at her trainer, floating off of his shoulder and just observing silently.
"I wanted you to stay with me too you know. I was sad when you left home. When you left me. Weren't you sad?" The dark haired ghost continued to cling to Crenu's arm, pouting as she spoke.
"You're not Ayane, you're my imagination, and we both know I wasn't sad when I left. She was happy staying back home and watching the pokemon in the center. That was her life. This is mine, and she wished us luck." Crenu's fists were clenched, but he remained cool as he walked onwards.
"Hmph. If you stayed, maybe I wouldn't have died."
That was it, that was the ticket. It made Crenu stop in his tracks, his fists started to tramble as he clenched them harder and harder. "..that's not true. She was sick....she was gonna die no matter wha-"
"Just like your dad? First you couldn't stop that death, and then you couldn't stop mine. If only I had you there by my side, maybe I'd have been strong enough. I mean without you at my side what reason did I have to live? I loved you you know."
"Shut up, it's not true..."
"You let another one slip Shiro. It's your fault."
"It's not.."
"You killed meeee~"
"I didn't..."
"You diiiiiid and you're gonna kill her tooo~"
I won't...I won't...I didn't.."The cave walls started to crack and crumble. The worls was shaking, and the tunnel was shrinking. WGetting smaller and smaller, the light vanishing as the rock and earth started to close in around him, alive and full of anger.
"It's all your fault, all your fault." "All your fault." His father's ghost droned in, the two circling the blong trainer repeating their haunting words. "All yoru fault, all your fault." "All your fault!"
"It...it...it's my fault.." Crenu fell to his hands and knees, hitting his head hard on the cave floor as he remained there, nails digging into the hard cold earth, all of his wounds opening up again and starting to bleed as he sat there, tears starting to well up in his eyes.

"Would you? That would be awesome!" Ben exclaimed as he clenched his fists excitedly. He didn't even mind the other boy's comment about going easy on him, because he knew that if he went full strength he'd probably be blown out of the water by the trainer who already had his badge. "When and where? My Pokemon are ready anytime, we haven't had any battles since yesterday." He was feeling really psyched about getting that chance to battle a strong trainer, and the gleam in his eyes showed it.

'Nitro and Nova are from Keegan's parents too?' Riza thought as she watched the Charizard menace his little sister, and she couldn't help but smirk a bit. She was oddly reminded of her relationship with her own brother, and she wondered that when Nova was a little older (and bigger, of course) if she and Nitro would end up with some sort of sibling rivalry. Sensing that the big Pokemon convention was coming to a close, Riza recalled all of her Pokemon except for Eris and Selena, as she felt bad taking the Snivy away from her newly-discovered sister.
One thing about seeing all these different and strong Pokemon, Mike's and Kasi's especially, seemed to fill Riza with a sense of determination. Sure they had been at this a lot longer than she had, but she felt like she was making significant progress. Sure, she had only two badges to her name so far but she'd also managed to win the very first Pokemon Contest she'd ever entered. Thinking about the gorgeous Cerulean Ribbon sitting pretty in her ribbon case brought a smile to her face, and she glanced off in the direction of Mt. Moon, wondering how long it would take for Crenu to get through. She didn't like to admit it, but she missed having him around. Sure he was a bit gruff and not very friendly and he was very blunt and to the point when he spoke, but she was certain she was also starting to break through that hard shell of his.
She looked at her watch and then at the other trainers. She didn't really want to seem like she was rushing off, but she was impatient to see her Shiro again. She checked her watch again and then stepped forward, deciding that as much fun as she was having here, she wanted to go and meet him. She'd opened her mouth to announce her temporary departure when wait, what was that? Nitro looked as though he were ready to tear a chunk out of Mike's very special Ampharos when the electric-type retaliated with a bright flash of electricity that left the powerful Charizard unconscious, and easily twenty feet away from where he'd initially been standing. 'Okay, note to self, there may be something seriously wrong with that Ampharos, but do not piss him off,' Riza thought, bringing Eris a little closer to her. The Quilava's eyes were wide with a curious mixture of awe and respect and she too decided to keep her distance.
"I don't know what's up with your Pokemon," Riza said, now recalling Selena and Eris, "but my friend is heading through Mt. Moon so that he can be present for my gym battle, and I think I'm gonna meet him halfway." Of course, she had no intentions of setting foot in that stupid mountain again, as now she could get Plua or Faustus to fly her back and forth. "As long as you guys are still in Pewter later, maybe we can meet up again! And Kasiya, we will have that rematch," she added, tossing a wink in her self-appointed rival's direction. She waved to Mike and Hayley and what Pokemon were either still outside of their poke balls or hadn't been turned into crispy critters by Beacon, and she started off along the same route she'd entered before.

The pressure of the cave walls surrounding Crenu was too much, he was being crushed under the weight of a mountain as the ghosts swirled around and around chanting their words like a broken record that shook him to his very core. His arms grew hot with the boiling blood that poured down his crimson bandages and puddled aroudn his body. The tears that ran down his face left scars in their wake, Crenu was in his own personal hell and was starting to shatter. But when all seemed lost, in that very moment, a bright light shone through. Carmen appeared in a very big form, she seemed almost giant, a serious look on her face as the rocks crumbled to dust aroudn her, she had a bright glow about her body and her fingers were like flood lights, washing away everything they touched. The crushign tunnel vanished, and as the ghosts of his father and friend were bathed in the Elgyem's light they screamed as they were torn apart in the light and evaporated into nothing. Crenu looked up at his savior, the giant Elgyem towering over him in the blank white room they now stood un, looking down at him, her cry droning out sweetly as she turned her finger beacons onto him. The warm light washed over him, and Crenu felt it put him at ease, everything was safe within this shower of light.
Opeing his eyes, Crenu immidiately noticed Carmen glowing, floating before him with her eyes closed, her arms outstretched with her fingers resting on his temples. One of her eyes shakily opened, clearly strained by whatever she was doing. Her light faded as she looked at her trainer, and her body went limp as she fell to the ground. Crenu immidiately put his arms out and caught her, cradling the small psychic pokemon who blinked as she stared back at him tiredly, she seemed rather content. As he held her he noticed his arms were not bleeding, and even though he couldn't check he knew his tear stained cheeks were not covered in scars. "...Did you just...save me?" It had all been in his mind. He knew that. He knew his imagination had been running wild, but this time his illusions had grown far to real for him. To anyone else it would have just looked like some guy down on the floor crying, all the pain and anguish he felt was slef inflicted by his mind. And Carmen saved him. The little Psychic type must have figured this out, and clensed his mind. So young, yet she did it. She pulled him out, at no small cost to her of course. As he stared down at her in his arms, more tears started to drip down his chin, but these were of a different kind of sadness. "...Thank you." He brought her closer to him as he pressed his head against hers, the Cerebral Pokemon patting him playfully clearly thinking that it was no big deal. Of course she helped him! Crenu stood, the entrance to the mountain just a few feet before him. He held Carmen in one arm and whiped away his tears with the other, continuing on and finally making it out of Mt. Moon. He squinted from the great contrass that was the daylight from the sun, having gotten used to the dim cave light, but his eyes adjusted quickly enough. Carmen was starting to feel a bit better as well, but there was no way she was gonna leave her little craddle in Crenu's arms. Together the two walked along the route leading away from Mt. Moon, they'd reach Pewter in no time. That thought made Crenu smile a bit, because he knew Riza was there. She was there, waiting for him. And he really wanted to see her, now more than ever. He needed to see her. He couldn't deny it to himself anymore, he really missed her.

There was already a small queue to get off of the boat. It seemed like some people were all ready to go and impatient to get off the boat. Or if the greenish look on some of their faces a bit sea sick and eager to get on dry land. Dante just chuckled to himself as he realized that they would probably be throwing up on the ride to the shore. Still the teen leaned against the rail and watched as the boat started to dock; next to him another trainer leaned against the rail as well.
"You aren't going to throw up on me are you?" The trainer who just arrived asked jokingly.
Glancing over Dante gave the newcomer a smirk. "Not from being seasick I won't. I won’t promise that I won't use you as a shield if someone looks like they will throw up on me." Dante might have sounded like he was joking but he really wasn't he had no desire to be thrown up on. Still it didn't seem like the other really understood his risk as a human shield for Dante as he just laughed and the two of them watched the boat dock. "Heading to the main land after you get off?" Dante asked as the two of them were heading down the bridge.
"Yup, I figure it is easier to land here than in Lilicove. Might have to take that extra trip but it puts you right in the middle of Hoenn, makes it easier to get around." Pointing out into the distance. "Look you can even see it." The other laughed and adjusted his bag. "I think half the passengers are heading their by ferry anyway."
Looking around Dante saw that a lot of people were following them towards the dock that held the small ferry that would take them to the main land. Another group was releasing water pokemon to surf across while the others were getting into battles and just branching off in general. "You are probably right about that." Dante suddenly missed Shiva when he saw the small boat they would be taking; his claims of not getting sea sick might not prove to be true. "Oh boy. How long did you say this trip was?"
Dante's temporary travel partner just laughed and shook his head. "It isn't as bad as it looks. It takes about an hour though."
"Not as bad as the ride over here, still a little sick of boats though." Dante grumbled the last part. Even if he had spent most of the trip sleeping. The two of them paid again for their tickets to the main land and got on board with the others. In about five minutes Dante felt a bit like a Remoraid in a can. Guess I don't need to worry too much about rocking around since I am packed in here tighter then the numbers in my mom’s little black book. Dante just sighed and hoped the trip wasn't too horrible.

"Uhh..." Jasper's gaze darted back and forth as he looked around the area, realizing they were still more or less standing in the doorway of the Pokemon Center and blocking the flow of traffic. "Yeah, I guess we could do it now," he said, nodding. "I'm pretty sure there's a nice open place a little ways from here. If you follow it far enough, you'll end up at a crossroads between Goldenrod and Ecruteak City, but we're not gonna go that far." As much as Jasper still considered himself to be a novice, he could see just how excited this kid was. "Oh, the name's Jasper, by the way," he said with a chuckle, awkwardly sticking out his hand. "We should probably move this little party along, we're in they way."
((Yes, please don't quote me. I am well aware of when it is my turn to reply.)) * * * * * * * * * * A devious little smile appeared on Hayley's face when Mike answered her question, and she looked from Nova to Cynder to Nitro, and then back to the two Charmeleon again. "Just you watch out," she said playfully, "or Cynder just might get his wings before Nova does!" Of course, she wasn't entirely certain that it would actually happen that way, but the idea of having a little competition was actually exciting. This Keegan person had been brought up again, and from what she'd been able to piece together his family was some sort of breeding specialists. That entire subject of Pokemon breeding was fascinating to Hayley, and she had literally already thought of thousands of questions she could ask him even as she continued to work on her sketch of Kasiya's highly jealous Piplup.
She was quite focused on her work and she sort-of tuned out for a moment or so, but the next thing she knew, the big, scary Charizard had been lit up like a Christmas Tree, and by the previously dirt-licking Ampharos, at that. The brunette could only blink in awe at the charred husk that used to be Nitro. "I'm guessing that's new, then?" she asked, looking from Mike to Kassie and then to the Ampharos again. Her little Nidoran had been rooted to the spot with fear, and taking a cue from the other trainers, Hayley began to recall her Pokemon, as well, leaving only Ivy and Kaylee, though she recalled the Snivy as well once Riza had announced her plans for departure. She let Kaylee stay out for now, however, as the Pikachu was still showing cautious interest in Kasiya's Raichu. "Oh, okay then," she said brightly, returning the dark-haired girl's wave. Perhaps this friend had been the one she'd been speaking to on the phone beforehand! Hayley did love a good mystery.

((Sorry... It's an old habit))
Grinning slightly, Ben nodded and took Jasper's hand before stepping back and out of the way. "I'm Ben. And yeah, let's try that place. Lead on!" He was so excited he could barely keep his skin on, but he tried to remain outwardly composed. He didn't want this other Trainer to think that he was a total spaz. 'Alright, guys, this is your chance to shine,' he thought hopefully.

'I wonder what kind of Pokemon this kid has,' Jasper thought, stifling a yawn as they started making their way through the small city. He'd grown quite familiar with the layout of this place over the years, as the little pathway he'd mentioned before had been used by he and Ditto many times before to get back and forth between Violet and Goldenrod, and he'd even ventured north to Ecruteak a few times.
All in all, it probably took the two trainers about ten minutes to get to their destination, and Jasper gestured to the area with an arm. "Well, this is it," he said, nodding at Ben as he took a Pokeball from his belt, toying with it a bit before finally spinning it on the end of his finger. "So," he said, grinning at the younger trainer, "how do you wanna do this, Kiddo?"

"Well," Ben said with a bit of a nervous smile as he took one of his balls from his belt. "I only have two Pokemon, so let's do a two-on-two. Unless you want to only use one because it's kind of a practice battle, for me," he adds with a slightly hopeful expression. He already knew that this Trainer was stronger then he was. Even after the few battle he'd already been in, he still wasn't sure that his team's strength was comparable to someone who had already gotten a badge.

Kasiya had already started to recall some of her Pokemon, namely the ones she knew weren't overly happy with the crowd situations. Casimir, Rosemary and Leviathan were the first to go back, and she smirked as Mike spoke. Pepper, having been set down surprisingly gently by the Steelix (who now had several very bright and shiny sections to his body), decided that she wanted some attention for her trainer and scampered up the girl's side. Naturally, this absolutely infuriated Alphonse, as one could nearly see the smoke blowing out the sides of the Penguin Pokemon's head. He'd reared back, likely to unleash a barrage of bubbles into the little Minccino's face, but Pepper had already prepared a counter-strategy: with a cute little wink, a cant of her head and a waggle of her tail, a large, pink heart drifted out and smacked the Piplup in the face. Instantly, Alphonse forgot how angry he was as he had become completely enamored with the Chinchilla Pokemon.
Kasiya just rolled her eyes and shifted the two young Pokemon a bit so that she could continue recalling her many Pokemon. She'd gotten herself lost in her own thoughts, planning out what moves to teach some of them and who was due for a turn on the roster when a bright flash of lightning followed by the usual chorus of thunder - no, that crash was Nitro hitting the ground. Kasiya whipped around to see the unconscious Charizard, and her gaze drifted over to Beacon, who was now more or less challenging Napalm to Mortal Kombat next. "Jumpin' Jumpluff," the girl muttered, prompting a scoff from Shocker. The Raichu had watched the whole thing go down, and though she felt bad for her longtime Charizard friend, she was more than certain she could have done the exact same thing! The Raichu's ego would have to wait, however, as Hayley's little Pikachu, Kaylee, had finally wandered over to say hello. Delighted, Shocker greeted her fellow Electric-type with a cry, holding out her paw for the littler mouse.
Having recalled every Pokemon except for Shocker, Alphonse and Pepper, Kasiya looked over at Riza with surprise, however, when she announced her departure from the group, and she couldn't help but wonder if it was Crenu coming to meet her. After all, they'd been sort-of a couple back in Vermilion City, but she couldn't know for sure. She grinned, however, as Riza mentioned they would battle again soon. "You bet!" she called, also waving at the dark-haired girl. "I guess we should put some of these guys away, right?" the girl said to Mike. "After all, I don't think you want to buy ice cream for that many mouths, do you?"
=-=-=-=-= "Near the Pokemon Center? That sounds like a smart idea," Jaeshan agreed, tossing Sigilyph's Pokeball up and down. He still clutched the trio of TMs in his hand, though admittedly he wasn't sure he even knew how to use them. He didn't think it was a big issue though, as he was sure that Kevin would know one way or the other. "Lead the way, then," he said, nodding eagerly.
Jae couldn't remember feeling this excited before his match against Roark, but that had been way before he realized he might actually be sort of good at this whole Pokemon-training thing. "No Grass-types? That's okay," Jae said, nodding. "The general training will do just fine." He wasn't quite sure what Kevin meant by having a trick up his sleeve, but it didn't take them long to get to the place that he'd been talking about, and he released Sigilyph. The Avianoid Pokemon watched his trainer curiously as he held up the Calm Mind TM. The Psychic/Flying-type just looked at the boy calmly, and before Jaeshan even realized what he was doing, he had stepped forward and touched the disc to Sigilyph's err. belly. Regardless, it worked, and Jae was sure that if Sigilyph could smile, well, he would be.

Mike had recalled the last of his Pokemon, still chuckling at Beacon's sudden and impressive showcase of competitive spirit. He took one more look at Nova and Cynder as Hayley issued her little challenge to Kasi. "You never know!" he said playfully. "But when it's all over, we should definitely maraud the countryside atop our majestic dragon mounts." For a moment, the boy was lost in thought of just how awesome that would be. He was about to turn to deposit the rest of his Pokemon when Riza announced that she was going to go meet up with someone. "Oh, okay. We'll be around, uh, here." Mike wasn't overly (and by that he meant at all) familiar with Pewter's layout. "If you can't find us, I can just make a signal." And in no way would that signal involve any kind of fireball or explosion. Not at all. Before Riza took off, the raven-haired girl issued Kasiya yet another challenge. "Sheesh, hog all of them why don't ya?" he teased, leaning over and giving the cute blond a kiss on the nose. "I'm always up for a skirmish if you feel like making craters with me." That last bit sounded a bit more suggestive than he intended, but he decided not to correct himself. "And no, sadly some of my Pokemon wouldn't handle ice cream very well. Fire Pokemon and dairy seldom mix." he stuck his tongue out in disgust, thinking back to some of the more...unpleasant images in his father's research books. He'd never think of the word 'curdle' in the same way.
Speaking of delicious milk products, there was ice cream to be had! "Yo Hayley. I promised Kasi I'd take her out for some ice cream. You're more than welcome to come along if you'd like!" As the girl pondered, Mike hurried into the center to send his Pokemon back home, making sure to type up a quick text detailing exactly why Nitro was being delivered less like a Charizard and more like a well-done steak. After coping with the feeling of tremendous vulnerability that his two strongest Pokemon were not absent from his party, Mike noticed that he now had an open spot on his team. After a moment of pondering, his gaze caught his all but forgotten Kecleon, Powalski. "You know what! Yeah." he said to himself, selecting the little lizard and clipping the ball to his bag. The chameleon had proved his spunk by taking on Nitro on his own, making him look quite silly by tripping him up with his long tongue. Mike grinned. While the complete party shift was certainly jarring, he had to admit, it was exciting.
"So ladies," Mike called out as he stepped through the door. "Shall we be off?" He walked over to Kasiya and held out his hand in a gentlemanly fashion. "My lady."

Jasper deftly caught the spinning Pokeball in his hand, and he nodded in agreement. "Sure thing, two each sounds just fine to me." It was a practice match so it didn't really matter all that much to Jasper, though he couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement over what Pokemon Ben had with him - the more Pokemon he became familiar with, for Ditto's sake, the better!
One last toss and spin of the Pokeball later, Jasper had released Zorua, but the sneaky little fox had decided this time to take the guise of Croconaw. She flashed a toothy grin at Ben, daring him to make a move. "I guess you get the first move," the older boy offered with a wave of his hand. * * * * * * * * * *
Hayley had watched the Piplup and Minccino with fascination, her pencil working quickly as she'd started to sketch the little normal type as well. The brunette could easily see that little Pepper as quite clever, and a bit devious too, as she'd managed to subdue Alphonse with a well-time Attract, was it?
Kaylee, meanwhile, was more than delighted to finally meet the Raichu face-to-face and she reached out and touched Shocker's paw with hers, a bit of static flaring between them. The Pikachu could practically feel the electricity radiating from the powerful Raichu, and she gave a nod of respect. Someday, she would be as strong as Shocker, she knew it!
Hayley peered up at Mike from over her sketchbook, eyebrow raised slightly at his last comment. The brunette merely smirked and continued sketching, carefully going over the tufts of fur on Pepper's tail to bring out the detail. Her grin did widen at the mention of ice cream, however, and she nodded. "I love ice cream, you bet I'll go." She watched the two trainers head off into the Center to deposit their surplus of Pokemon, and Hayley gave a contented sigh. She certainly was meeting an interesting variety of people today!

Ben gulped when he saw the Croconaw appear, thinking that it had to be a Water-type, so he knew he should choose his Pichu. Tossing the right ball, the tiny electric Pokemon appeared, flinching at the sight of the much larger Water Pokemon. Shaking his head, Ben grinned at it. "Come on, Pichu, it's just like the others! Show it what a cute little Pokemon you are!" He chuckled as Pichu took the hint and began its Charm technique, bouncing and dancing around the Croconaw facade while it waggled its tail cutely at the tough looking Pokemon, blushing at it with round, sparkling eyes.".. Pii ~" (Please refrain from using emoticons in your posts, we are a text only roleplay and are pretty strict about it. Thank you.)
