Dream had completely missed all this hubub with Charmanders, Bulbasaurs, and Murkrow. He'd been thinking about Aurore, worrying, more like. But as he watched the overactive Eevee bound up the stairs he quickly followed, noticing the doors were open now. He saw Menudo and Dakota at another door, and got a whiff of some Bellossom perfume mixed with a fruity, citrus extract that could only mean one thing.......Aurore was there. If he remembered correctly her cousin had given her the specialized perfume, one of his most popular and most expensive, for her birthday a little while before she got him.
Seeing Dakota, Menudo, and the Eevee, he approached them and scratched softly at the wall, pressing his head against it. It was a bit hot to the touch, but he didn't mind much.
"Aurore's here.........I can tell. I smell her.....she needs me.......is there any way to help you get things started, Menudo? I have to make sure she's safe....." he panicked softly, getting that timid, submissive nature that he usually had back. He pressed his paw to the door and clicked his displeasure deep in his throat. He wanted his Aurore back. He didn't want to lose another trainer.

Dakota could have swore the ball stopped somewhere around here, but instead there was a Pokemon. Skidding to a stop and gently bumping into the Sandshrew, she couldn't help but let out a bit of a grunt at the sudden bombardment of yelling. Yelling meant Dakota was a bad girl?
The puppy Pokemon ignored the words she didn't understand (cussing was not something she had been exposed to), but loudness and anger in the voice meant Dakota didn't do something good. Forgetting her earlier achievement, the puppy Pokemon edged back slightly with the biggest puppy eyes filled with sadness. Her ears were pinned back, and she was slightly arching her back away.
She didn't speak, but she whimpered slightly. How was she bad? She didn't get it.

Zyk suddenly 'saw' Dakota looking quite sad and confused. For some inexplicable reason, she reminded him of Zinnia. The zubat fluttered down in front of her and said kindly, "Don't worry, you're a very good girl. It's okay!" Zyk wasn't sure why he was comforting a hyperactive puppy that was much bigger than he was. But still, the odd resemblance to Zin was there.
"Why don't we go find a different game for you?" Zyk offered, his voice so light that he might have been talking to a baby. "I'm sure there's something more fun than bullying that poor, badmouthed sandshrew."

The mewtwo looked down at the eevee, it reminded he hadn't told anyone he had found the trainers, but really, what was the point of telling anymore. "No...this is where their stuff was put...." He sighed. "but the trainers are alive"

". . . but the trainers are alive."
Zyk's head whipped around, suddenly forgetting about Dakota. He called loudly to Menudo, "You know where they are, don't you? How else would you know if they're alive or not? Is she all right? Did they torture her? Don't bother hiding anything! I may not have eyes, but I can see well enough!" Zyk puffed himself up angrily, making himself appear larger than he was.
"Where are they? Answer me! And no lies!" Zyk looked almost ready to attack, all thoughts of making Dakota happy far from his mind.

Peanut had sulked a bit in the background since the encounter with the bullbasaurs and charmaders. Mention of the trainers however perked her right up and she joined the group near Menudo. She sat down nearby hoping to hear more. "Are they ok?" she asked...

Despite being bumped into, Buddy achieved the desired result. Awesome, she’s stopped! He looked at her with satisfaction and confidence. Then he saw her eyes. He wasn’t going to melt because she looked at him funny, nononono. No. He stared. “C’mon! I’m not gonna attack you, you’ve stopped doing that.” Oh Arceus, he really hated puppies right now. “It’s okay.” Damn it, she hit a weak spot. It hurt watching her. He was definitely vanquished by the heart-breaking eyes. “Okay, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you, but heck, just don’t play with me anymore, alright? I curl up in a ball when I wanna be alone, not when I wanna be chased around. Got that?”, he asked, more calmly, almost apologetic. Did that Zubat talk about him? “Hey, you, didja just calm me badmouthed? I’m not badmouthed, I’m telling the things as they are, there’s a difference, winged rodent.” Buddy needed some work on his people skills.

Menudo was pretty sure his own mind hate him at this point of the week. "They are fine, as far as could see, they have been put in a cage and kept asleep most of the time...................thought I saw a pair of buckets on one corner, so i think they been allowed to wake up every once a while...." He scratched behind his head. "They haven't been torture as far as I saw, they didn't show any wounds and I saw no blood anywhere."

Pastel ignored the rest of them. Lumin's sketchbook was through that door, and Pastel had learned something about Lumin the very first day they had met. That sketchbook was his life. He carried it everywhere, and Pastel had to get it back. He went over to the door, examining it closely. It had a big crack in it, maybe he could get someone to pry it wider and he could get inside. There was always a chance...

Attention, Dakota had it. She glanced to the Zubat. Oh, she was a good girl according to this Pokemon. That was enough to get her nub wagging. Then the sandshrew talked to her. Apologies, hurray!
She perked up a bit and began to give the ground type a bunch of puppy kisses, however, one word just managed to catch her attention.
"Ball?!" she asked. "Where's the ball?! Ball!!" She began to bounce around, from side to side in a playful manner. Short attention spans made for happiness, since ignorance was bliss.

Zyk looked crestfallen. "A cage...? Asleep...? We have to get them out..." Zyk ignored the other pokemon and flew into the air wildly. "Get out... Have to get out..." He couldn't find an exit anywhere, though. He knew it was useless to ask any of the others for help. They could do no more than he could.
Zyk found a dark cranny in the ceiling where he finally rested in, brooding and ignoring the others. What was 'fine' for Menudo was not fine at all for Zyk.

The luxio's tail tip flipped back and forth. "That's a good sign. Now we just have to figure out how to get to them..."
She looked at the door past which was apparently their trainers' belongings. Yes, Tyg would be happier to have her journal and the other esentials the watcher carried with her. "I suppose it would be one step closer to get their stuff..."

No, not the licks, again, NO- -too late. Paralyzed by so much… affection, the Sandshrew hardly defended himself. He wasn’t paid enough for that job. “Someone please tell me why I’m still bothering with that Growlithe”, he asked out loud, although not expecting a rational answer anymore. Time to try a new strategy. “Okay. Okay. Dakota. That’s your name. You know what? You know what?” he said in a playful way, “Let’s play then. A ball? You want a ball? Oh look I’ve got a ball look whoops it’s gone quick fetch it fetch it!” He said all of this at a speed approximating 30 miles per hour, and doing an exaggerated motion of a throw in direction of the locked door. Of course, he didn’t have anything in his paw, but Dakota wasn’t supposed to notice that.

Lucine was still struggling with the door when Mr. Menudo returned and announced that the trainers were fine. Well, that was just peachy! She had just begun to cheer up when she realized something somewhat significant, that he hadn’t told them where the trainers were. So… they weren’t quite fine at all, no matter what Mr. Menudo said.
Which reminded her… she padded over to the mewtwo and said, quietly, “Mr. Menudo? We… err… found a journal in the Death Room. The lab, I mean. I could read most of it and it doesn’t sound good.” Why were they keeping the trainers alive at all anyway? Wouldn’t it have been easier to just dispose of them? Lucine shuddered and refused to think of what the Rockets had in mind for the humans. No matter what people did to pokémon, they could---and would---do far worse to other humans. “The espeon had the journal last.”

Oh boy, oh boy, OH BOY! She loved this game. She lowered her upper body to the ground, but kept her rump in the air. She bounced to one side, then to another.
Her eyes followed the motion. She started, but she saw nothing flew out of the hand. Much to Buddy's dismay, Phoebe was known to do this as well, so Dakota was a bit more accustomed to this game. The puppy stopped and continued watching the Sandshrew carefully.
