Irvine inhaled sharply as the tendril got under his skin into his vein. It was as if a hot iron rod had punctured his skin and was now pouring magma through his veins. It burned like the flames of hell. Irvine began sweating profoundly and he grit his teeth in pain, however he did not scream out.

She ran a free hand through his hair and down his cheek as she pumped her blood into him. After a while she finally stopped and as gently as she could pulled the tendril out of him.
She sat still from her own sudden loss of blood. But he needed it more then her. 9 slumped down on the floor beside the bed and laid her head back. She prayed that there would not be any bad side effects from the transfusion.

hehe....*Dark kaiori growled and shot into the air, snapping out her fan, she slashed it at the ball, with a slash of red energy she try sends the ball flying back, even if she fail the ball wouldn't hit the barrier* just back off !!

*The barrier starts to cave in for a moment. Then a moment later pops right back up. It was flickering a bit as it recovered but it was still there*

*The barrier is finally at ease. It splits into 4 layers again and the 4th/blue layer vanishes. Mastema smirks and goes back to working on something. In the tank Thanatos seemed to be panting*

Xol walks out onto the top of the castle to see Hitoshi still trying fruitlessly to break the barrier with the help of the now fainting Kogashi. He ponders on wether or not he should reinforce the barrier with his blade, Infinity and then decides against it coming to the conclusion that if Mastema wanted his help he'd ask for it.
He had four souls in which he could torment at any time. Kaiori, Dark Kaiori, 9-Lives, and Irvine. He grinned a little wondering who too play with first and his mind rested on one. Not only would he enjoy tortuing this one it would also test the faith of another he was in doubt of.
Xol took one last look at the barrier and did a stiff about-face, walking down to the corridor which contained 9's living quarters.
