The first thing that Maebe experienced in the world she'd woken up to, was a talking sign. This immediately clued her in to the fact that this was a dream, but at least it was one that would give her clear directions.
Right?
So she headed off to talk to the trees, and get fragments from them. That was the goal. The point. Perhaps if she got enough, she'd wake up and get back to real life. That was the only reason she would do anything, right now.
The tree smiled, and she wanted to lean in and poke the teeth - but she knew she'd probably lose a finger. So instead, she guessed what it was hiding, hoping it to be the only thing that she had come for. "A fragment." Because if it wasn't, she didn't care what it was.
But it was.
An auspicious beginning.

Was this tree seriously claiming she was picking its - did it even have a nose? Gross.
"I most certainly am not-" Why were dreams so disgusting? She wasn't putting her hand anywhere near anything's nose, especially if it could talk..
She never came back. That tree disgusted her.

This tree did not disgust Maebe, but it did ask her a riddle, and she found herself so far past caring that she answered with a flat, bored look.
The tree waited. She continued to stare. And eventually, because she had the infinite patience to wait for a tree, it barked out.
"WELL SILENCE IS THE WRONG ANSWER!" But she knew that wasn't true. Silence had been exactly the right answer for her to give, and she smiled at the right response. The tree tried to convince her it was a better tree, and she could accept that.
Because trees were stupid.
So she was no tree.

If anyone had asked Maebe, a week ago, what she was going to find herself doing a week later, she highly doubted the answer could ever have been 'asking trees for fragments in order to escape some twisted psychological ********'. She had to hand it to Deus, one thing they could never be called, was predictable.
Maebe's fourth tree failed to give her a fragment, either. But at least it told her something that - while already obvious knowledge - felt comforting to hear. It knew she was lost, and it hoped she'd find a way out. "The only way out is to give me a fragment," She responded lazily. But it failed.

This wasn't the same tree that had disgusted her before, but it was ABSOLUTELY the same disgusting response she'd shied away from. Her hands were behind her back instantly, so that no tree could ever tell her that her hand was up its nose again.
"I don't come back to trees." She told it, her voice scratchy with a growl. "Especially gross ones."
But she had to try, because it was her last chance to find a fragment.. and when she returned, hands behind her back, the tree was gone.
So much for waking up quickly.

She didn't really care that much what was happening since it was just a dream, right? It was quite fun going down and down the rabbit hole even if she did bump into things a few time. Drining the little bottle and everything turning black was a little strange but it was all good now. She was now standing for someone called Alice who welcomed her. Nice. She needed a name? Well okay, because I like it it's going to be Kitty_Catz123. That wasn't to hard to remember. A job class? After hearing the options it wasn't this hard for her to go "Cheshire Cat!". It seemed to fit her the most. She felt really good how she was now and she happily wandered away. This dream felt so much better than her last one. She wandered around till she saw the woods. Okay this looks interesting. She kind of liked how everything seemed to twist and turn in a somhow good way. She really wanted to go into the woods and see what was going on. Something good probably. A talking signpost who tells her to examine five trees? Sure! She'll just do right that.

The first tree she sees seems to be quite normal. But it does seem a little odd that there is a smiling set of teeth there all the way at the top. She being lost? Yeah, that might be true. She doesn't have a single clue to where she is right now. Everyone is a little lost here? At least she isn't the only one. What do you mean... Oh, it's already gone. She does need to go find 4 other trees. So she better get going. Maybe she'll find a way doing that.

Kitty happily continued to walk around in the woods. Hoping to find something else strange or interesting. Her eyes catch a tree that has stripes. Just look at that. It has stripes! How amusing it looks really silly with all those stripes. It does make the tree look good too. It seemed to agree that it was a "good" tree and not silly at all. She shaked the tree and got her reward. Sweet! So bye there tree with stripes. Maybe I'll see you again. Kitty walked away again smiling. What was she going to find next. One with swirls?

If you shake the tree it laughs happily and then spits out a fragment. It bids you your merry way as you continue walking. +1 fragment.

A tree...With STRIPES! A snort slowly escaped him, slipping quickly into a chuckle, and then a laugh as the Tree let out a bit of a huff, looking at him. "I beg your pardon, but I am not silly at all. In here everything is possible and anything is impossible and therefore a tree with stripes is completely within everything and anything." As the Tree spoke, his stripes quickly changed color, and the boy's eyes lit up in delight! Oh this was perfection in and of itself! "Now, give me a good, good shake. I want to get some more colour out. Shake me really well, if you do I'll reward you." Hurrying closer, he shook the wooden being several times, as the tree bega to laugh. A Fragment was spit out in front of him, and the Cat contentedly took it before continuing on his way, wished well by the tree.
Yet again, he'd encountered the sleepy tree on his way through the Tulgey wood. Again he'd tried to rest, only to be warned about a tree needing cleaning. Ah well. Shaking his head, he bypassed the Tree and continued on. It was time to move on. Time to find something more FUN to do! He was eager to see the next leg of his adventure and where it would take him!
The next tree looks very sleepy and tells her to come back when it's clean. It's not clean now. It clearly doesn't want her to reach out as it's "disgusting" so she takes a few steps back and looks at the tree again. Okay she'll just walk a little circle and return to the tree. She happily walks of and returns to what she thinks is the same spot to find the tree missing. Did it disappear? It was here she just knew it. Well too bad I guess. I'll just find another tree. This was the same spot was it? Yes, it was she was really really sure. Just continue walking she said to herself.

Wait the sleepy tree was there again reacting exactly the same as before. It needed cleaning. Kitty_Catz decided to just walk around again and to come back to the tree later. She had to remember where the tree was. No mistake this time! She carefully walks a bit of a bigger round this time but she is really sure to come back to the same spot. She carefully walks back to exact the same spot and again the tree is gone. Strange? Yes! But she is slowly getting used to it.

While still searching for the sleepy tree she finds the striped tree again. Hehe a tree with stripes! But okay it was a good tree with stripes as it asked her to shake it again. After a firm shake it happily spit out another fragment. Okay so she got another reward. Nice! This seemed to be a really cheerful friendly tree. She thanked the tree and wished it well when she started to walk again. Maybe she'll find the sleepy tree again. Or is it really gone now?

Kitty_Catz continued to walk around the woods looking for the sleepy tree that seemed to be really gone this time. Or maybe she was walking the wrong way? Or maybe it was somewhere else now. She decided to give up and leave do something else for now. There was alot of other things to do. Or at least she hope so. She was dreaming all this so everything could happen. [Exit]

[Entering] At least this seemed to b a good dream. She was still unhappy about the nightmare she had before. Going down the rabbit hole was a bit unpleasant but it was better than a nightmare. After drinking the little bottle see way relieved to see she was somewhere else now after everything turned black. It didn't turn into something bad. Okay so this Alice was acting a little automated. Okay alot and it bugged her a bit. She needed a name? I bet "Ireallylikemyrealnameplzdunchangeithelpwhy" is to long... Okay then I'll be "VeryGrey2" because... I don't really know. Job class? How about dormouse. I like being a healer. Hoping the dream would stay this good and it really looked like it she walked into the strange woods. Oh a talking signpost. That's pretty funny. Five trees? She loved examining things so this was going to be easy. Only five trees. Too bad.
