Okay, I get that it's confusing.
What you need to know is that I'm in the process of writing up the alteration of the storyline, which will essentially cause most everything that happened before a certain imaginary point to have never happened. Due to the loss of many threads and s**t, Dante and I decided to set our guild in an alternate Bleach where no canon characters to the manga or anime existed. It will be up eventually, so don't worry about it. It's just terribly frustrating to write and it's even more off putting because I already wrote it once.
In any case, once a few things happen, we'll be able to put things in motion again.
The only difference between yourself and the others in terms of storyline right now is that they were around to see other stuff happen.
Just bear with us, take a deep breath, and relax.
