Of course Thobias didn't get the whole way there before he got a dart in his a**, courtesy of Hunter standing on their deck. Hunter's eyes were colder then usual, but he still had a smirk on his face.
"The dead don't need remembering by wasting good rum and fancy words. They are remembered enough in the sands. and some never die."
a slight smirk and tossing a bag of gems on the deck lightly, as well as some of he elven craft weapons.
"your meat and hide will be arriving shortly I gather."
and he moved to the other side of the ship, and jumped down into one of her longboats, and then down through the sandsea to his ship, climbing the side and brushing himself off.
"that was fun."
"We all worry. I more than most. I know what necromancy can do if it gets loose on you and I know the tolls it can take. You visit less and less. there's nothing to prove."
Leaning back some.
"And...to apologize for my actions and words."

"If I want to give rum to the dead and say a few words, then I will. Show a little damn respect for the dead. Some of them aren't simply pirates you know, and don't want to be forgotten." Looking over her shoulder at him as Thobias was leading her off. "Thanks for the cut. I suggest you stay put for the night, rest up and then we'll head out." And thusly to her cabin to indeed rest up. "Very well Mister Robins, see that all my men get a good meal tonight."
Savryn rolled another directional look to her father, clouded silver and gold eyes watching the outline of him that she could indeed make out, maybe the tiny bit of color. Not that she ever tried to focus too long on trying to see anything, gave her a headache. That look was duely dropped to nowhere in particular as the fingers of one hand played in the beating on an indigo streaked piece of hair. "I'm careful with it, " most of the time, "I'm never foolish with it, at least I am mindful of how it can go badly. And coming home is hard, I have wanderlust...I can't stay in one place right now." Malikhai had gotten a touch of it a while back, but his wanderings never took him too far...he had enough lucrative things at home to keep him occupied, and Dhairiss had either not gotten it or wasn't going to get it. "I do still write though...and daddy, it's not as simple as you think to just say that. I can still remember how things used to be, I won't ever forget. And I just...can't get back to that point." Probably never would admit that, she wasn't ready to. Hold old had she been? About five, yes that sounded right. Sayrn's earns twitched though at the change in his father's position and a little in his voice. "For what set of those actions and words daddy?"

Thobias merely got Gem settled and then plucked the annoying dart out and tossed it to one of his hands. They were welcome to use it since they had a crossbow. One little pinprick hardly mattered to him. "Alright men, Galley is preparing a feast tonight and then all of you need to get a good night's rest. We'll be up early tomorrow and heading out and then it's back to your regular duties. Remember, Gem likes her decks swabbed nice and clean. Good job men, you deserve the rest."
Eilynne nodded and followed Caden up to the top of the deck then began to help heal those who required it. There was only so much she could do alone so she recruited Rahsaveer who had the real healing ability.
Shyrae was grateful for the help and she left the rest in the Laerethe's capable hands. Sundance walked with her as she moved to ask Hunter for her favor. According to Eilynne there was a small community pool on the outskirts of the abbey. It had stayed relatively clean since the murder and mayhem had taken place inside the abbey itself. As such, she had a nice little place where she could just relax and get rid of all the blood that was currently leaking out of the various places on her body. Her parents would kick her a** if they knew. "Captain, would you mind taking me to the island. I don't think I could lower the boat by myself and I'd feel better if I had someone with me."

Hunter raised an eyebrow at the elf, and gave a slight smirk.
"And of all the crew you pick me? how sweet of you."
Before moving toward the longboats, and getting one ready to go, though a few passing glancing from some of the left behind crew, like the Bosun. seeds of discontent in their eyes. He'd deal with that later.
but once the longboat was ready, he stepped onboard.
"your chariot awaits, lady elf."
Wanderlust. oh he hated that word.
"For all of them. all the times I did wrong by you for things that were not your fault or under your control. you suffered a great deal more than you had to because of me. You're the last child Piper and I will ever have, and I scorned you for a birth we were warned about years before could happen if she had another baby. It wasn't you fault, and I should have been grateful you both came through it alive, not angry about what almost could have happened."
A small sigh.
"Some wounds, I supposed just don't ever heal though, do they."

Hm, this was one of those moments where as much as she was gone really made her parents think. And hey this was Malik, not often did he say things such at this, but they were family. She wasn't stupid either, she knew how things had been when she was born. Not that she understood at the time but she knew how it had been. She'd almost killed her mother, and if anything got to Malik D'vinn, it was the possibility of loosing Piper. Anyone who wouold be catalyst to that means, needed to be eliminated. Even Zahara had tried to make her mother miscarry once or twice, for the exact fear that Malik had in his head.
But things worked out in her favor on that. As worn as her mother may have been, he was trying to make her choose between her child and her husband. Any woman would choose thier child, and if Malik wanted to stay in her life, he had to forgive the circumstances of everything. He knew the risk, he knew how things would be...and in the end, hadn't things worked out well despite thier start? Indeed they had. Sighing she pushed herself up and crawled over to him, plopping next to him before going about giving him a hug that they both probably needed.
"It's okay daddy...I don't hate you for it. I never have, and I don't plan to. For any of it. Mama is your world, I think I would react the same way too. But like she said, you just had to believe that everything would be alright. And it is now. I know you didn't love me at first, but you do now. I know that, and I know I remind you of things better left unthought about. I can't go back and change that, but I'm still trying to make it up to you. You've felt worse since I lost my sight too, haven't you?"

She shrugged. "I don't waste my time with those at the bottom of the totem pole. I go straight to the top." She gave him a smile and walked slightly slowly but with her own power nonetheless. Settling in the boat, she waited for them to go ashore and then shook her head. "Not the nicest spot to go, is it? Lady Eilynne told me there's a pool on the other side of the abbey. A community bathing pool it used to be. You're welcome to come if you wish." She picked her way across the graveyard, ignoring the few things left around and slipped around the side of the dilapidated old building.
And there it was. It was shallow, maybe five or six feet in depth at its deepest point and was filled with clear, still water. Various trees and hedges provided shelter from the elements and prying eyes and she gave a smile. "Oh it's perfect." Dropping her cloak, she pulled off her boots and dipped a toe into the water. She lifted her hand and scribed a series of runes then watched as the water slowly began to bubble. "Now it will be nice and warm. Fancy some relaxation or are you too good for that?"

"Why am I not surprised."
A small smirk at the water, and a shrug.
"Oh dear. the dark skinned elf is actually trusting a pirate to gt naked around her in a small pool of water. I'm just waiting for the red lighting to start coming down."
He gave his daughter a hug, and mussed her hair abit. He missed his baby girl. Not to mention Pier would probably love another woman in the house.
"You never should have lost it. I should have paid more attention, I should have been able to protect you."

She squinted some at his hair mussing and only took to fixing it. It was most likely normal to have these types of conversations when you were an adult. Nice to clear the air about some things. "Accidents happen, you can't predict everything. And well, some things stubborn children just need to learn to leave alone. Or things like this happen," a gesture to her eyes before leaning back on her palms and kicking her feet slighly in childish fashion. "You were there for me afterward and well, I can somewhat see now from the things you did teach me."

Hm...getting naked? That hadn't occurred to her that that was what they would be doing. She'd swam many times in the past with family members and just never thought about it before. She chuckled softly and shook her head. "I didn't say anything about getting naked. That was all you. But if you wish, you may." Walking to the bank and turning her back to Hunter, she slipped off her pants and slid into the water then removed her top as well before sighing, "It feels fantastic. Quite nice after a bloody battle." She very calmly moved to one side of the pool, and began taking care of herself; washing her hair and getting the blood off her skin. Sure it was dark and you could hardly see it but that just wasn't attractive.

"you weren't even in the battle."
But Hunter didn't bother to get undressed or go into the pool. he didn't need to. His concerns at the moment were some of his crew and their next stop. he did lean up on the abby wall and watch though.
"You should still be able to see. stubborn or not that's no excuse for letting you have access or able to get to something that could do that kind of damage."
a shrug.
"you're my daughter. I'm always here for you, and I always will be. and in due time maybe I'll find a way to restore your sight. I have people working on it constantly."

She blinked at that little piece of information. That was news to her and it clearly showed on her face before a twitch of dark blue tipped ears and a soft laugh that not many people were privy to at all. "Mama is right, you really do spoil us. Even if it's with merely ideas of entertainment as such. I'd like to have it back...but if I can't have it then it's not a big deal. I'm getting stronger in my magics...and that means pretty soon, I won't have to worry about getting as drained out as I do right now. Still growing." Giving him a smile. "So then, tagging along to the next port of call? It's sort of like a father daughter outing."

"No, I wasn't. I did the clean up after it." She personally felt that Hunter could have only benefitted from the bath, especially since the scent of death clung to him like a macabre perfume. But he had a human nose and likely couldn't smell it. It didn't bother her that he was there and after awhile she actually forgot he was there. She finished up rather quickly, pulling another set of clothes out of a runic pocket and going about washing the ones she was wearing moments ago. Never one to stop longer than she had to, she was done in a little under an hour and then gave a smile. "Thank you, Hunter. I appreciate you bringing me out here. We can return now."

"I'll stick around for a bit longer. after all, we don't get to spend much time together recently. and I tend to like to spoil you a bit...so I supposed helping out would work."
A slight grin at his daughter before giving her another hug and patting her leg.
"Now I think you need some rest. I'll try to find something edible around here."
Hunter shrugged.
"Then lets get back."
and that's what he did. took her right back to the ship, and upon setting foot on her, had his Bosun meet him in his cabin.

"Sounds good to me, after all I can learn some of those strike fear into others tips. Being a woman is hard you know." Giving him a grin before stretching and moving back to a comfortable position on the bed. "Rest indeed...and there's some travel food in my pack if you can't stomach what's around here. It's not so bad."

After the Bosun was dragged out of the Captain's quarters and thrown overboard with what was left of other bodyparts, and a new Bosun given his duties...the Chimera went on ahead. Hunter had his meat and claws, his cook was working on the evening meal, and well, the Gale Claw could catch up.
Though Malik managed to find something slightly edible...he was prefering to stay topside, watching the sand. interesting to see a sand ocean rather than water. and thinking about his daughter and how to help her with whatever it was they were doing out here.
