rofl Man, I can relate to almost every single one of these.
You know you're a band geek when...
...DCI has become your new MTV
...You watch football games just for the half time bands.
...your ringtone on your cellphone is your school fight song (guilty)
...you pay attention to the music in movies and tv shows rather than the actual mvoie/show itself.
...most of your songs on your iPod are songs you've played in band.
...you don't care about anything unless it has something to do with band.
...you have a tie/necklace, etc. with your instrument on it.
...you are actually participating in this.
There was one I thought of, but I forgot it!! gonk

You use your instrument case as a purse / handbag.
Once, my friend couldn't find her purse, so she just put her stuff in her clarinet case and took that to the movies. xD

You know ur a band geek when you and ur friends are all laughing because they are all saying 'oh i remember when i did that!" and then freaking the BD out and then He actually says ''Been there, done that."
I know ive seen this before but when u name ur instrument... I just nicknamed them Fruit and Crumpet nothing special. But my friend edna named her Tenor Lola and her flute Squishy.
We also have names for each other JUST for band Im Cherry shes Banana and my other friends are Lymon, Strawberry, apple and orange. We also have others but i dont want to bore u with boring facts XD lol its fun We all practically live in the band room and walk together and dont realize it until the next steps are funny and u all start laughing because everything i put here is true.
TRUE STORY!!! Were all guilty!!! xd

also when you all start to knw ur high schoo band directors in the 7th Grade
((all of us mrgreen ))
you know your band director more than you know your parents
you know every part to every song you play
you know other instruments parts on your instruments
**for example I know the Alto sax part (on my Friut) and Edna knows the French Horn part (on her Squishy)

...when your BD's brother used to live in your house. O.o
...when you're fascinated by the fact that you go sharp in the cold because the molecules that make up your instrument get closer together and make the sound waves closer together too...
...when you start giving marching commands in daily life.
...when you're the only person in your history class who thinks the 1812 Overture is cool for reasons other then that it has cannons.
...when you have to decide: Central Area music festival, or Forum?
