Anekio shifted slightly, sturring from her short slumber and blinking. She looked around and let out a small sigh.
Two ANBU sat in chairs waitng for her to wake up. One with short, flat hair smiled behind his mask. "Glad to see you're okay, Anekio-san. We've got a few questions to ask."
She shifted slightly, having expected this and nodded her head. "About earlier, in Tori's room right?"
The other, with silver hair, nodded his head. "We just need to gather some information and you're the only one that can help us. You can take your time in answering."
She nodded again as the first question was called out.
"Why was Momochi Takeshi there?"
She sighed, "He wanted - well needed - to take Tori and Ran back to the Mist for some reason, he did his best not to get into detail, or I can't recall much at the time."
The first one nodded and scribbled it down before the second asked another question, "Why did he need Tori-san?"
She bit her lip on this question, unsure of how to responde. She didn't want to get her friend in trouble, so she lied, "I'm not sure."

Mai-lin nodded. "Of course I will." I can't tell either of them. Konohamaru-san died protecting me. They'll hate me. "I can help you get out of here. I know all the nurses and when they go past where. It'll be a breeze to get out."

Tori chuckled a bit. "Yeah, I hate them too, not to mention the food is horrible. I don't even know why they won't let me leave, the poisons gone." She sighed and sat back down in the chair. "Um, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to but...are you sick or something? You always seem to be coughing."
"Okay, I'll be ready as soon as I finish getting dressed." He quickly pulled on his pants, shirt, and the vest that at one time belonged to his father. Now it meant even more to him than before. "Let's go."

Ran's eyes flitted over to Tori before looking out the closed window. "I've had it since I was born, and probably will always have it... whatever it is." She murmered. "Apperently, my older brother had something similar..." she gave a soft sigh before reaching up and rubbing at her eyes. "How'd you get poisoned?" She then asked, seemingly wanting to change the subject.

Mai-lin nodded and led the way out of the room. When they were half way down the hallway she ducked into a empty room, pulling Kei with her. A nurse walked past and Mai-lin giggled. "Even after all the times I got out from here they still keep the same rounds. No one will catch us then."
"Are you so sure about that, Mai-lin?"
Mai-lin turned around and sighed. "Hello, Moegi-san. Nice to see you again. Does Kei have to go back to his room now?"
Moegi shook her head. "No. I was just on my way to tell him he could go home to Yuhi-kun when I saw you trying to sneak out. I figure I would give you a scare." She looked over at Kei and gave him a small smile. "Hello Kei-kun. We're...I'm letting you go since...I know you and your brother. You have to promise me that you'll stay out of trouble and not train for at least two days."

((I have twenty of those stupid eggs and all the chickies. @_@ This event is getting on my nerves and I'm too lazy to disable it.)) After Anekio gave the ANBU all she could remember, or wanted to remember, they left. She sighed, feeling bored. Hospitols are retarded...I should just go home and buy another cat... She sighed, closing her eyes.
As soon as they closed, they shot back open and she shook slightly. I-I think I just saw...his body... She shivered, pulling the blankets up closer to her and looking around. She sighed in relief, Just my imagenation...

"I don't think I could train if I wanted to." I'll wait one day. Kei thought then gave the nurse a smile. He knew her too because she was one of his fathers childhood friends. "Thank you. Mai-lin...let's hurry."
((hehe, I was planning on having Moegi be Keis mom when I was first creating him but changed my mind, can't remember why.))

((For the same reason Naruto or Sasuke won't ever end up with Sakura. It's kinda creeoy if you have a fight and have to work together the next day.))
Mai-lin nodded and waved to Moegi. "Bye Moegi-san. I'm sure I'll see you soon." She said with a smirk. She took Kei's hand and led him out of the Hosptail. "Everyone know Moegi-san really well here. I know her even better from when Li-nii-san and I use to fight. I'd always end up hurt for some reason or another." As they got closer to Kei's house she slowed down, thinking what she would say if they asked her if she had been in the room while it had happened. At least they couldn't understand Himi so if they believed her lie then Himi wouldn't tell on her.
((That and it'd be kinda sad to kill Moegi-chan. Despite the fact that you killed Konohamaru-kun.))

When the reached his house, Kei hurried in but couldn't find his brother anywhere. "Where the hell did he go?" he thought with a frown then headed for the door again. "Mai-lin, this way. I think he's in his garden." Kei took them down a path that lead to a small greenhouse. "I hope you like butterflies, if not you should wait out here."
Inside the greenhouse was filled with flowers and butterflies of every kind. In the back was a small koi pond and that's where he found him. "Yuhi..."
"It's dad, isn't it?" Yuhi asked and didn't even turn around. "When I woke up with one of my bad feelings, I knew it'd be you or him." He turned his gaze from the water to look at his little brother. "Mai-lin? What are you doing here?"

Mai-lin frowned, looked down and started to scuff the ground with the toe of her sandle. "I...I saw it happen...Kei said that you might want to know about it...And I saw it happen." She watched as a buterfly flew past her down cast gaze. "I'm sorry. I could have stoped it. I just watched and he was trying to keep me safe. I'm sorry." She said before she covered her face with her hands, crying. Himi lightly nudged the Inuzuka, whining.

Yuhi got up off the ground and pulled the Inuzuka girl into his arms. "There's nothing for you to worry about Mai-lin. He was a ninja, just like we are. I knew that he was going to be killed someday as it's the fate for most of us. I think he'd have rather died fighting than from old age anyway."

Mai-lin sniffed and nodded. She almost wanted the older brother to be angry with her to be upset that it was cause of her that his dad was dead. She looked over at Kei, wondering how he was reacting to what she had just said. "...Kei?" she whispered the question.

"I told you you should have stayed with me." Kei kept his gaze to the floor, unsure what he felt. "I don't think it would have changed things much, but dad was strong, you know?"

Mai-lin nodded. "Your dad i...was one of the best ninja." She rubbed her eyes as she looked at her teammate. "I know I should have stayed... I wanted to go help though. I thought I could help..." I only got in the way though. She started to scuff the floor with her foot again, eyes following it as it moved across the floor.

"I just wished he could have finished teaching me the jutsus I've been working on. I don't know anyone else who knows them." Kei said and looked at his brother for a moment. "Even Yuhi can't." he gave a bit of a sigh, then smiled a little. "Mai-lin, that means we'll really be training a lot, or at least I will. I'll be trying to figure everything out on my own. So let's try not to think about what happened today too much. It was an accident."
Yuhi watched his brother, a small frown on his lips. He's trying to be strong in front of her. He's probably ready to break. He thought then smiled. He's more like dad than I'll ever be.
