Lina shook her head as she leaned against him, gathering tthe little strength she had left as she said, "I'm..sorry...I only stopped one monster and then became one myself."

He put a finger on her lips to keep her from saying anything else. "You had no control over it. I completely blame Aurora. You also saved me from what probably would have been a death at Trodan's hands. You have nothing you need be sorry for." He held her close.

She felt relieved by those words, but she knew it was something she would have to truly understand alone. But for what it was worth, Remus was helping her along. She closed her eyes before giving in to her fatigue and holding him close as she fell asleep.

Remus continued to hold her, letting her rest. She felt surprisingly light to him.

Lina prayed that she would have a dreamless sleep, but her prayers were ignored. The images of her recent killing spree kept returning to her, causing her to cry in her sleep. Would the images ever go away?

noticing Lina crying Rikku walked over opened her eye gently careful not to wake her. Rikku looked up at Remus "shes dreaming of all those she killed theres not much we can do......." a touch of sadness in her voice

It took a while, but the moment of Troden's victory was almost at hand. The spell was beginning to waver, probably form Lina's lack of strength. But that was all he needed. His eyes glowed with victory as the spell finally disappeared, leaving a rather large Lotus base uncovered, "Murder them all, but leave the book to me..." he said, his voice as cold as ice as he watched his men attempt to open the door on all sides of the base.

"Remus.....Trodens going to attack the Lotus base...Anaiya told me. Is there anyway they could reach the room with the book?"

Remus gave a slight nod of agreement in Rikku's direction. He knew he could do nothing else. He did all he could by holding her in his arms. As Remus heard her second comment his head snapped to attention. He gave a low growl. "We were in agreement, Lotus comes before either of us, though I hate to do this." Remus gently laid Lina against the wall. "Rikku, don't let her slip away. Keep her safe." Remus shifted to a wolf and took off running.
Back at the base, Lotan bolted upright, he'd been sleeping. He had felt the spell break and was moving in an instant. He immeadiately began banging on doors, prepareing the rest of the Lotus for what was coming. Since he was linked to Remus when Remus woke him, he sent a short warning to him as well.
Remus recieved Lotan's warning shortly after he left and put on an extra burst of speed.

Troden shook his head before lifting the red opal once again, using it this time to open the enchanted door. Since Lina was not herself, the door opened for him easily, and his men were inside in an instant. Troden's laughter filled the base as the members came out fighting.

Remus shifted into his hybrid form. He was running flat out. Already the city was within his sights.
Lotan had seen Lina enter the room and since then learned it contained the book. He finished arranging the defenses and then moved to guard the door himself.

Lina's eyes snapped open, making her reach for her daggers instantly. She was breathing hard, as if she was possessed once again. She looked at Rikku and said, "What is going on?"

Lotan would have seen a few vampire being thrown across the hall as Troden walked inside, his eyes now as red as the opal itself. His claws were bloody and so was most of his clothes, but he seemed at home like this. He was showig the true beast he was and he was loving it. He turned slowly to face Lotan from down the hall, a grin on his face as he saw his old Teacher, "Well...what a nice surprise..."
