Her next attempt had the glider at least rolling, but...something was wrong. Terribly wrong. Just before it went over the edge she bailed, diving out just before it went over the edge like a dead weight.

The fog overtook her, and she looked up to see her glider on fire. The panic returned and she screamed, fighting to level out the burning wreckage...and losing a lot of altitude in the process.

Marati woke up by the gliders again, confused as to what had just happened. It seemed that she was missing something. Still, she had a task to do and this, set out to do it. The Glider launched easily, as if a reflex memory told her what to do, and then she was flying again, sliding through the air with the greatest of ease.
