Constance smiled as she nodded slightly. "I am sure that she will survive. If she survived all that time locked down there being tortured and god knows what...she can survive those wounds." She walked with Merrick into the portal to go see her mother. Merida laughed as she wrapped her arms around Naruto's neck. As he leaped through the portal she pressed close to him, enjoying his scent. She couldn't believe that Rosalyn was free. That she was here with them. She would be a great addition to their little group. Cassandra looked around the place, her head tilted to the side as she tried to find where Amelia had taken Rosalyn. The woman needed to be healed and Amelia couldn't do it all by herself. "Upstairs," she said softly as she hurried up the stairs, not waiting to see if anyone was following. Carolyn took a deep breath as they were in the safety of the meeting house. She looked over at Kasumi. "I suppose we should go see how she is doing. See if there is anything we can get for her."

Kasumi nodded slowly before momentarily stumbling; she hadn't used her powers as much as she had recently in a long time, unfortunately. It would take time for her stamina to get back to normal, however, and the binding seal that had weakened her earlier hadn't helped at all.

Lorcán tilted his head. "I don't know much about healing, unfortunately; I know what herbs to use, but actual spells," he said with a shrug.

Merrick tilted his head as he glanced around, noticing Cassandra darting away. He doubted it was necessary to mention to Constance that following her would be wise.

Naruto exhaled as he unconsciously shifted, not seeming to realize as he rubbed Merida's lower back and rear.

Carolyn caught a hold of Kasumi stumbled slightly. "Perhaps you should get some rest as well," she said softly. "Sit down, take a deep breath."Cassandra looked over her shoulder at Lorcan and smiled slightly. "No worries...between me, Amelia and Constance, I am sure that we can get her healed." She looked briefly to her niece before continuing up the stairs. Constance took a deep breath as she followed after Cassandra. She could feel great magic coming from the direction in which she was going. Amelia was already working on her mother, trying to heal the hideous and numerous wounds. She wasn't far behind Cassandra as they both entered the room. Her mother lay on the bed, eyes closed with her arms at her sides. The blood was all cleaned up, but the wounds were still there. "Good, you are here," Amelia said without moving. "Please...with the two of you helping this well be much faster. She is stable and won't be going anywhere, but she stays in a healing sleep." Cassandra knelt on one side while Constance went to the other. They looked at each other before placing their hands on Rosalyn and closing their eyes to begin healing her. Merida chuckled softly as she nuzzled Naruto's neck. "Perhaps you should put me down so we can go and see how they are doing," she said softly.

Kasumi blinked before she smiled faintly; it was nice to have someone show concern for her.

Lorcán shifted his weight. "Be careful," he said quietly.

Merrick let the armor dispel in a spiraling swirl of sparks, though he suspected it would surprise the others that there were several slashing cuts on his torso and arms that wept blood.

Naruto chuckled before he winced slightly, letting her feet drop to the floor as the armor covering his body dispelled in a gust of bronze-orange flame, exposing a long but shallow cut that went from his right shoulder down to mid thigh.

"Come, let's go sit down," Carolyn said as she led Kasumi up the stairs. They would relax in another room while the others healed Rosalyn. She didn't want to crowd the room. Cassandra heard the concern in Lorcan's voice and smiled. "I'll be careful. Don't worry. I am not doing this alone." She sent her thoughts out to him even as she helped to heal Rosalyn. This was the woman who had won her brother's heart. This was the woman who had given up everything to try to keep her daughter safe. She was family. Constance sent herself deep inside her mother's body, healing the deep wounds that had been imbedded there from the years of captivity. It brought tears to her eyes to know her mother had endured such things to keep her safe. She felt the greatest caress of love she had felt in her lief brush against her. She immediately recognized it as her mother. A child always knew who her mother was. Merida stood on her own two feet before turning to look at both Naruto and Merrick. "You both need to be taken care of as well. Let's allow those three to heal Constance's mother, and I will clean up your wounds."

Kasumi let Carolyn guide her upstairs, thinking of how to explain what happened with her eye.

Lorcán sighed as he shifted on a nearby couch. He had a very strong feeling that there was something they were missing.

Merrick grimaced slightly, but shrugged, one shoulder, brushing one of the wounds that went across his bicep and just below his sternum from his ribs. "If that's your wish, I don't see why we shouldn't do so," he said quietly.

Naruto sighed, shifting his shoulders carefully. "It doesn't seem like the cuts are too deep," he muttered.

Carolyn led Kasumi into a room and sat her down. She went to the bathroom silently and got a wet wash cloth. When she got back she began to wipe away the streaks of dry blood. "There we go, better," she said softly. ~~~~~~ Rosalyn's wounds were healing rapidly. Cassandra knew they would be done soon and all she would need was a little bit of sleep. Then they would find out how she had finally gotten free after all these years. After several long minutes she pulled back as did Amelia and Constance. "That is all we can do. She must do the rest," Cassandra said softly. Amelia stood and stretched her arms above her head. "She just needs rest. Perhaps we should also have some food prepared. No doubt she will be hungry and no doubt everyone else is hungry."Constance stood slowly, letting out her breath. She looked down at her mother; they looked so much alike now that all the bruises and blood were gone from her body. "I think I want to sit here by her side for a little while.""Of course you do my dear," Amelia said softly as she headed for the door. "We will leave you then."Cassandra moved over to where Lorcan sat and smiled down at him. "Let's go eat something. She will wake soon enough."~~~~~~ "It is my wish to do so," Merida said as she looked to Merrick. Her gaze then went back to Naruto. "Better to clean them now so they dont' get infected." She gave a small shrug. "Besides if I didn't take care of you, Constance may get angry. I don't want her angry at me."

Kasumi half closed her eyes, enjoying the gentle ministrations as well as Carolyn's nearness. "Originally it was a diluted bloodline, though in Merrick and I it is renewed as it once was. Those talents, the black flame and dimensional vortex, at one time, weakened the user's eyes until they went blind unless a direct donor, usually a sibling or parent, donated their physical eyes to undo the degradation," she murmured.

Lorcán smiled faintly at Cassandra as he looked up at her. "Every time I look at you, I wonder how lucky I am," he murmured, chuckling.

Merrick exhaled, but didn't say anything as he slowly stood. "Then let's deal with them," he said quietly.

Naruto rolled his eyes, but didn't mention to Merida that his natural aura as a Kitsune destroyed most human infections.

Carolyn hadn't been expecting an explanation for the blood seeping from Kasumi's eye, but she was grateful that Kasumi was opening up to her. "Is there a chance that it will happen to you then?"~~~~~~ Cassandra smiled softly at Lorcan. "I am the lucky one." She held her hand out to him. "Let's leave Constance with her mother, and you and I can eat like we had intended to before." Her eyes twinkled with laughter. Constance didn't seem to pay them any mind. She sat by her mother's side, her hand resting lightly on top of hers. She felt as if her mother had been trying to tell her something as they healed her, but she hadn't been paying much attention. ~~~~~ Merida saw Naruto roll her eyes and she grinned. "Don't you roll your eyes at me. What's wrong with me wanting to take care of you?" She spoke to him telepathically, not seeming to realize she had done it.

Kasumi exhaled slowly. "It's unlikely; the bloodline talent was originally a Kitsune skill, so with almost pure Kitsune blood, the drawbacks are negligible," she said with a faint smile as she carefully inhaled, the armor dispelling to reveal the broken off blade of a dagger embedded just above her hip though fortunately it missed anything vital.

Lorcán stood with a low chuckle. "I swear, your intelligence and beauty blow my mind just as much as your body," he murmured as he took her hand.

Naruto blinked, but grinned after a moment, the emotion behind it a blend of amusement, love, and slight teasing. "Nothing, though very few have wanted to," he murmured with amusement, his mental voice fighting back laughter.

Carolyn winced when she saw the dagger blade embedded just above her hip. "We should get that out of you." She reached forward to touch it and stopped just inches from it. "Do you want me to take it out?"~~~~~~ Cassandra laughed softly as she walked with Lorcan towards the kitchen. "Your compassion is something I will always love about you, Lorcan." She could already smell food cooking. The cooks had realized that they were in residence once again. ~~~~~~ "I will always want to take care of you. You have no need to worry about that one." Merida grinned back at him as she motioned for the two men to follow her. There was an infirmary here in the safe house and that's where she would take them for now.

Kasumi blinked as she looked down, not having realized she was injured. 'If I'm right, then it's only through muscle rather than anything vital," she murmured, nodding slightly before she inhaled slowly.

Lorcán inhaled slowly before sighing softly. "I wonder what would make a better table, you or me," he murmured, half teasing Cassandra.

Merrick shrugged one shoulder before he followed Merida before cocking his head with a slight frown as he saw the modern infirmary.

Naruto chuckled. "That is a welcome change from my past," he sighed softly, following Merida.

Kaosujin Ryu got a new phone and still learning....sorry for any mess ups Carolyn said with a nod as she put her hads on the blade. She looked at Kasumi briefly before quickly pulling it out. She had a cloth ready to put on the wound to stop the blood. -------- Cassandra snorted and shook her head. " Oh you, definitely." She teased him. She walked close to him, their arms touching. "I cannot believe she finally broke free. I wonder what caused her to do so after all this time." -------- Merida only smiled as she cleaned up their wounds. She worked on Merrick first and when she was done with him she took her time. She alowed her hands to slowly move over his body. "You should probably go check on Constance, Merrick. I am sure she will be comforted by your precense."

Kasumi exhaled sharply, well aware that the exposed third of an inch of steel didn't give that much of a handhold. Fortunately the blade slid out without shifting too much. She took a few deep breaths as she felt the wound start healing steadily if not superhumanly rapidly. Thin trails of steam seeped from the cloth as the wound healed.

Lorcán shrugged. "Your guess is as good as mine. My gut instinct would say that it could have something to do with Constance, but I have no idea," he said with a sigh.

Merrick tilted his head with a slight nod. "Hai; if I'm right, you want me to check on her and accompany her so you can have a bit of private time," he said with a faint half smile, glancing at his uncle, who didn't seem flustered in the least; he could smell the subtle scent of arousal from both of them, suppressed but there nonetheless.

Naruto shrugged. "Does it really matter?" he said with a deadpan tone, giving no sign he was bothered by Merrick's words before the demonic Kitsune slipped out of the room. He glanced at Merida, inhaling slowly, though beneath the scents of blood, antiseptic, and alcohol there was a subtle hint of sweet peach-strawberry scent that he knew was Merida's arousal; he suspected that watching him fight had probably done it.

Carolyn watched with amazement at how fast Kasumi's wound healed. She smiled faintly. She had forgotten that the other was not quite human. "Well that comes in handy."-------
"Yes that is probably it," Cassandra said softly. She was just glad that Rosalyn was finally free. Her mouth watered slightly as they got closer to the kitchen. She had almost forgotten that it had been hours since she had last eaten. ------- Merida didnt turn as Merrick spoke and then left the room. Her lips twitched as she tried not to smile. "I am sure Constance would have said the same thing " She laughed softly as she looked up into Naruto's eyes. ------- Constance sat in the chair next to her mother's bed unmoving. Her mother hadnt moved or made a sound. She looked up when she heard a noise and smiled when she saw Merrick. " She is going to be fine. I can feel her getting stronger. "
