"Something as simple as a touch could make an empty case of skin come to life again." He lifted his own hand, covering hers with it. He followed her movements, but softly pressed against her hand with more force. He was thrilled at her warmth. It was a long time since he'd felt that type of warmth. His body always just felt as though it were numb. Somewhat feeling other people, yet never too much. Not really. But at that moment, he actually enjoyed the simplicity of the moment. There was no coffee, no sob stories, just him and her. At that moment. Nothing more. And at that moment, he felt alive. So he smiled, his eyes opened slowly to look at her, but then shut again. Hiding the secrets of the many years behind him. Luna shot a look at Ialo, changing back into a woman. "Do you expect me to believe that you'll keep calling out portals so that we'll be falling forever? I'd like to touch ground, please."

Yes, touch was very powerful. His seemed to light fire along her skin. Most touch wasn't like that, though. In fact, she had never experienced touch like his before. Of course, a vampire had never touched her before. Maybe this was a common reaction to all vampire touch? Somehow, she really didn't believe so.
When he opened his eyes and smiled at her, she couldn't help but smile back. He seemed so happy, and it made her happy. When he closed his eyes, though, her smile faded slightly. His eyes were beautiful. She wanted to see them again.
"Why did you close your eyes?" Her voice was very soft and inquisitive.

A man appeared next to them in free fall, his pale blue eyes belying a strange sense of deja vu. He seemed strangely familiar, but his baggy pants and large, dark blue shirt almost immediately declared him as an unknown to the escapees. He was wearing a black baseball cap, and his face was rugged and unshaven. They were all approaching the ground quite quickly now; his hands stayed firmly in his pockets as he continued to aloofly stare forward. "Good evening!" he suddenly said. "Alright... Yeah! Happy to be breathing... Yeah! I am alive... Yeah!"
He began to glow an odd shade of bluish white, and the scenery began to warp in and out of perception. Quickly it began to appear to them all as though they were standing atop the school; one moment there, the next, back in the air.

neon-neon Upon Silverwings "... Virgina" He looked at her for a second blankly, before coming to his senses "I Have Been away from there for a while. Five years I think it was." He wiped his forehead of sweat, and rubbed his eyes. man that was weird Maggie gasped with delight. "You're from Virginia!?" She squealed, then tackled him, pinning Chris to the ground, with her arms around his waist. "Ooh, I lived there for like, a long time!!" Her grip was like iron. Chris was pushed to the ground being squeezed lifeless. "Hey hey calm down, you keep this up and I'm going to break someth-" a crack could be heard from his lower back. "Ow that hurt. Like i said your gonna break something" He let out a cough.

Ialo rolled his eyes and was about to snap back at Luna, but was interrupted by the singing man. When the illusions kicked in, Ialo just through his hands up. "Forget this! I don't why I even try! Something always screws up, I swear to God, Murphy hates me!" A potent spell from the dragon though, temporarily cut through the illusion for a breif moment, allowing Ialo to double-check his direction and speed. No good crashing at this point. "And put some goddamn clothes on, woman!" he barked at Luna.
Maggie just giggled and hugged tighter, eliciting a second crack from Chris's spine. "Oh, you'll be okay!!" She sat up, finding a seat on the young man's knees. "So, whatsit ya need ta know?"

"I'm listening to the wind sing. Can't you hear it? Or do you only hear the sun's rays?" he whispered, opening his eyes to watch her. "No.. I don't believe you can hear it. It's a wonderful sound.. something I just began hearing a few decades ago. It's a very.. amazing sound to be heard." Dymetri didn't know why he was sharing so much information with her, perhaps she had Elvin powers helping her get as close to him as possible so that she could relinquish him. That seemed likely. However, Dymetri failed to see her faded smile or sense how close she kept remaining. "Certain wind currents are actually air nymphs. I'm just letting you know that just in case you might strain yourself one night trying to listen. They only let certain people hear them, though. But I've gotten to the age where their secretive ways are immune to me." "You don't why you even try what, huh? Try to save us all when I was attempting at doing that myself? You just can't take that I might actually be more successful at certain things than you. Maybe it's not even for just me, for everyone! You need to let other people take responsibility, for once in your damn life!" Luna completely ignored his comment on her nakedness. She turned to the singing man, her womanly "charm" practically pushing it's way out of her body. "And what the hell are you supposed to be? A magical hobo? If you're so damn magical then GET ME DOWN."

"now if you don't mind I need to look around a bit ... see you" Chris immediately ran towards the school a sharp pain in his back bothered him as he ran. Note to self don't let a fairy hug you ... ever again

He at long last turned to face the group, his eyes meeting Luna. Whether he was referring to what she had said, or the fact that she was naked, no one was sure. He said one thing and one thing alone; "Good deal babe."
The entire group felt themselves spinning as the illusions warped in and out faster. The next discernible moment, and they were standing atop the school.
Shortly thereafter the man pulled a large pair of headphones from around his neck and placed them over his ears. His music was so gut-wrenchingly loud that it could be heard quite clearly by the group.

Between the man's loud music and Luna's criticism, Ialo was pretty irritated by now. He was actually shaking slightly, the after-effects of the earlier adrenaline rush, completely unrelated to Luna, although it might seem he was actually shaking with anger. "Oh, sorry. I'm sure its not because I can't trust anyone else to do anything right around here!" His voice was dripping with sarcasm. At least he was back at the school. "If I don't get back in control, I'm going to lose both my jobs, and it's not going to involve a pink slip." The man's music was making him wince. Ialo began muttering unintelligible curses under his breath. Between the appearance of Riser, the scene at Ialo's office, and the usual mayhem of a new school year, the dragon was teetering on the edge of hysterics. But damn if he went down.

Luna stared at the man, slightly mesmerized by the music blaring from his headphones. Blanking out through Ialo's tantrum, she turned to find him shaking. Her moodiness kicked in, immediately making her face soften. She leaped towards him, and blinked with concern. She wrapped her arms around him tightly and closed her eyes. "It's okay," she simply said. She remembered him being much shorter-- he used to be just a head taller than her. Now, he was even taller. As she hugged him, the top of her head rested neatly with the bottom of his chin. Her hand caressed his back, softly humming to calm him down. "Shh, it's okay, it's okay," she repeated.

"Ack!" Ialo was not expecting to be hugged by an angry wolf lady. "No, it's not okay. It's anything but okay!" he looked down at Luna, and he seemed to shake a little less, calming down. But he was still agitated, and for some reason Ialo refused to acknowledge, his hands were shaking still, and his body temperature, already having shot back up to normal, didn't stop, and began to creep up ever higher. "It's never okay, it's never good enough, there's nothing I can do, I just make everything worse!" Ialo looked back at the 'magical hobo' with the blaring music. "A little backup man?" But he sincerely doubted he would be heard.

Lowering the headphones, he stared at Ialo. "Yes." One word. Followed several moments later by: "My answer would have to be...yes."
A strange, semi-perplexed look was on his face. And yet to Ialo, this seemed as though a cover; almost as if this odd man knew far more of the current situation than anyone else.
