Tatsuman Because he didn't say anything to dispute me. He just said the same thing over again. That I was in denial, and that they were all Clones/Edits.
I posted a video, and arguments. He posted...that they were clones, end of story.
I don't see it that way. Edits are Luigified clones. As in they are similar, but differ in many aspects. Much more than your typical clone.
Wolf, Falco, and Lucas have different standard sets, different animations, different knockback properties, different stances, different taunts, clonified specials, and clonified FSs.
Lucas' differences are displayed in that video I posted a couple pages back. Though the dude kinda sucked and spammed one combo...
While it would be idiocy to say that they are not based off of Fox/Ness, it's also idiocy to say they are Melee clones/Model changes/Edits.
Anyway, if you don't want to argue anymore, than don't. I'm just debating, as I often do. It wasn't really even a debate, it was just "but they are clones" "but they aren't!" "but they are" "but they aren't!" over and over. You both supported a little to back up what you said, but he said that you had your head up your a**, and you just kept denying it. We never said they were "Melee clones" (God, I fear we're making up new things just to argue that will be used later on), but that they were clones nonetheless. If you want to deny that they're clones, go ahead. You cannot deny that they have similarities greater than those of other characters. While they may not be Dr. Mario, they're the closest thing we have in this game. And stop with the Luigified thing. That was stupid when you first coined it, and it's stupid now. There's really no way to say that without offending you, but it just is. Luigi is a "Melee edit" so now we have "Brawl edits". It's dumb to nitpick about them not being clones, but being edits or deviations instead. They have similar attacks, but different animations for them. They have similar fighting styles and nearly identical Final Smashes. I say tomato, you say tomatoe.

Can't deny that. Sorry, he didn't give me anything to argue, aside from their specials. I offered to break them down bit by bit, and he said he was done.
If that's your definition of a clone, then yes. They are clones. However, I consider a clone to have all but 1 or 2 moves the same, but work differently. Same animation, different properties. (ala the Falco Spike)
I didn't coin that. That's old Melee lingo to describe a "clone" such as Luigi. I coined Lucasified as a pun off of that. I guess no one got it. :XP:
That's a bit of an overstatement. They have similar fighting style as Ness and Mewtwo have the same fighting style.
Not the same as in Fox and Falco. If that's what you meant, then don't bother.
Fox, Falco, and Wolf have absolute clone FSs, and so do Lucas and Ness. There's no nearly identical about it :XP:
