A small portal opened in the middle of the main room and 9 came running through. A green bladed dagger rests in one hand dropping with blood. In the other was a large red and gray swirled egg.
There was a gash across her right cheek and the back of her close were tattered. 9 panted softly as she closed the portal behind her and dropped to the floor in the safety of the dojo. As the portal closed there was a cry that could curdle the blood of a knight.
After a few minutes rest 9 sat up and smiled down at her prize.

9 took the egg up to her room and got cleaned up before coming back down. She looked around the empty place and sighed

(what happened to kimoru? It seems that nothing happened to himsxcince he was dumped on the floor, like no one ever moved him, he is in a coma after all....)

Irvine Gray sat atop the roof of the Black Company Dojo. Beneath him was whatever Company members were there at the time. Truthfully he didn't care. He did not try to mask himself. He did not try and hide the fact he was there. Infact, he did not do anything but sit and stare.
He sighed and shifted so he was lying on his back. The sun's rays were begining to dwindle. It was fall and winter would soon approach. Though this did not concern Irvine. Anything rarely did nowadays. After retrieving Nightmare and losing his eyesight, nothing really mattered to him. He had become a shell of what he once was.

A crashing sound came from 9’s room. She looked up then darted up the stairs and to her room. A baby griffin was stomping around and making a mess of things. She threw open the window to let him out.
As the griffin flew out the window 9 crawled out after him and climbed up to the roof. She didn’t seem to notice Irvine laying there as she watch the young Griffin fly away.
"He'll be back..."

"Hello 9....So who was that little friend of yours?"
Irvine smirked and called out to 9 in a drawling voice. He didn't move when 9 had gotten onto the roof. All he had done was call out to her in a casual way as if his leaving hadn't happened. The shades that fell over his eyes glistened in the dwindling sunlight. If he had been able to see, he would've seen the small griffen fly off towards the sunset.

“Hey Irvine, it’s been a while. I haven’t named him yet. When he is ready he will tell me his name but then again I never did name my dragon.”
9 replied as she moved over and took a seat next to where she was laying. She draped her arms over her legs and her pendant pocked out slightly from under her shirt.
“Where have you been?”

Irvine turned his head towards her for a second then turned back and continued "looking" up at the sky. He placed his hands beneath his head to support himself and sighed once more. Requiem lay out in the open across his chest in it's cross form. Nightmare was lying on the other side of him.
"To a far, far away place. A place where I lost apart of me. A place I hope to never visit again. And now I've returned...though nothing is the same...and as I feel the life ebb away...ah, never mind."
He had almost said somthing he had hoped not to mention to anyone. He continued to look upwards and after a seconds of silence he spoke.
"Where is Xol?"

9 looked down at Irvine with a slight frown on her lips. She stared at him for a moment before turning her head.
“I hate places like that… I’m not sure where Xol is. I don’t see him much but Kai dose.”
She took a breath and let it out slowly. Reaching up with her left hand she pulled out the pendant and ran her fingers over it slowly.
“What happened… what did you loss?”
She asked softly as she stared out into the sky.

Irvine sat up. He turned towards 9 and moved in close. When their noses and faces weren't but an inch apart he smirked and slowly slid down his shades. His once beautiful silvery gray eyes were now a filmy blue with white irises. He smirked and moved so his cheek was touching hers and he whispered softly into her ear.
"I've lost my eyes 9....along with my heart...."
Then slowly moving away, he stopped and stared into her eyes with his sightless ones. Then he stood up and grabbed Nightmare. He turned from her and hefted Nightmare onto his shoulder. He stared off into the sunset.
"Where is Kaiori now?"
