Kasumi had already risen off the bed, apparently sensing something wrong moments before Amelia's voice echoed in her mind. A swirling gust of deep crimson flame ignited before she wore ornate armor that seemed to glow as if molten, adding to the intimidation factor while her massive zanbatou-nodaichi soul weapon hung over her right shoulder. She curled her finger with a seductive look towards Carolyn, a small smirk flashing over her face.

Lorcán flicked his hips and landed in a crouch on the foot of the bed before he twisted, slate gray armor forming around his body before he concentrated, the kusari-gama that was his soul weapon flashing into existence in his hands with the kama in one hand and bladed weight looped in the other before he shifted it upward as both himself and Cassandra vanished in a flash of lightning.

Merrick tilted his head as he focused, armor materializing on his body. "Wouldn't surprise me if there's a telepathic or spiritual connection between them," he said in a low voice as he shifted, grabbing Constance's hand before they both vanished in a flickering gust of indigo-crimson flames.

Naruto smirked slightly, hugging Merida's hips close to him before they both vanished in a swirling gust of wind. He was mildly surprised to see not only Amelia, but also Constance and Merrick and Lorcan and Cassandra there in the dusty training ground. He blinked as he noticed tendrils of indigo flame flickering around Merrick's form, the only sign of his tension in his relaxed stance. Faint arcs of electricity arced over Lorcan's skin, the only sign he'd used any unusual method of transport.

Carolyn was immediately garbed in golden armor. Any bit of light that hit it made the armor seem as if it were moving. She smirked at Kasumi as she moved to the other woman. "Let's join the others." They were enveloped in a brilliant light and then were suddenly with everyone else. Cassandra had on her midnight blue armor, faint hints of electricty moving around it. Merida was there by Naruto's side in blood red armor, elegant and powerful looking. Amelia was dressed in the Indigo armor that she always used while Constance wore armor simliar to Merida's, only it was a mixture of blues, purples and reds. Cassandra looked around as everyone arrived. She saw the pain still in Constance's eyes and knew that Rosalyn had connected with her daughter in those brief moments of her initial escape. Merida was glad to see everyone well rested. She was sure they had all had extroadinary nights, but right now they needed to have their strength to find Rosalyn before the demons did. Constance looked around at everyone, eyes locking briefly with her Aunt Cassandra. She managed a small smile before looking to Amelia. "Do you know where she is?""I saw mountains...snow." Amelia said as she looked around at everyone. Nala paced in front of her. "I get the distinct impression of biting cold. Judging by some of the things I saw... I think she came up in Alaska."

Kasumi grinned at Carolyn as they teleported. "I can handle the transport," she said with amusement as her irises turned a deep crimson before what seemed to be a swirling vortex into a dark void opened in the air, hovering a few inches off of the ground. Faint beads of crimson blood oozed at the corners of her left eye as she manipulated the Kamui before it turned a brilliant crimson at the edges with swirling flickers of prismatic color as the portal stabilized.

Lorcán smirked slightly. "Those demons had better hope that they don't find her first, or I have the sense that Rosalyn will be the least of their problems," he said, glancing momentarily at Merrick and Constance. A slight shiver passed through him as he felt the ancient and potent primal power seeming to ripple off of Naruto as the blond Kitsune leaped through the portal without speaking.

Merrick took a deep breath. "She could be around the Dalton Highway, which would significantly cut down the search area," he said quietly before he pushed off, leaping through the vortex of energy before he inhaled sharply at the biting cold, though he didn't really feel the effects of it immediately though he was now in near knee deep snow.

Naruto was already moving over the snow, his gaze scanning rapidly around in the body armor he wore. He found a heavily seared area of the snow which was still smoking several dozen feet from where the portal spat them out. "Must be where she came out... or where there was a battle," he murmured, unconsciously reaching out telepathically and connecting his senses with Merida's.

Merida had followed closely behind Naruto, ignoring the biting cold against her skin. She pushed her hair back as she knelt on the ground, ignoring how the snow crept into the tops of her boots. Her sense flaired as Naruto connected with her and she smiled slightly. "It was a fight I think. It is cleared now, but there was blood here. Look." She motioned to one little drop. Constance took a deep breath as she stepped into the cold. It helped to clear her mind. She had begun to see red, the anger creeping in at the thought of her mother hurt. It must have been a brutal fight when she escaped for her to end up all the way here in Alaska. Cassandra glanced at Lorcan as he spoke. "They had better have the good sense in disappearing. The are dead as soon as any of us see them." Carolyn's eyes narrowed as she took in the scene. She could feel the residue of power. It was definitely a fight that had happened here. She had never had the chance to meet Constance's mother, but if this was her doing she was indeed powerful. It was a wonder she didnt break free before. Amelia knelt next to Nala, whispering in her ear. The feline took off in a run as the elder witch stood. "She will lead us to Rosalyn. She saw what I saw and can see it better where Rosalyn has gone. I can feel her power. She tries to hide it, to mask it...but she is growing weak."

Kasumi frowned slightly, her eyes narrowing. "If they harmed her, I'll give them all lobotomies... through their asses," she spat as she inhaled, blocking out the stench of the demons and focusing in Rosalyn's scent specifically as she started stalking over the snow, ignoring the wind's sharp bite.

Lorcán sighed at the venom in Kasumi's voice. He knew one thing guaranteed to piss her off was to go after someone she considered family. He followed after her, however.

Merrick took a deep breath ask he shifted to his demonic form, black wings flaring out. "We'll cover the aerial search and give warning when we spot her... If demons are near her, then follow the explosions," he said with a feral look; had any demon been near enough to see the look, they would have s**t themselves.

Naruto grinned at Merrick's words. He liked the idea for several reasons, the least of them being the fact that with the wind and blowing snow, visibility on the ground was limited, while an aerial view would give them a ranged view and warning if the demons tried to attack to stall them. He liked the fact that Merrick was keenly aware that strong magick users were rare and those like Rosalyn even rarer.

Carolyn followed after Kasumi silently, her fingers twitching slightly as they walked. Her nerves were on ends as they searched for Rosalyn. She caught the faint scent of blood, and caught sight of Nala slightly ahead of them. She rounded a corner, going for a grove of trees. Cassandra looked over at Merrick and nodded. "Be careful up there. You aren't the only ones who can fly." Her gaze went over to Constance and she saw the look on the younger woman's face. There was determination, and maybe a little bit of trepidation. She knew it must be hard to know you were about to see your mother for the first time in your life. She went over to Constance and placed her hand lightly on her shoulder. "We'll find her, and then you will have time to get to know your mother. It is a shame that we couldn't 'get her out sooner."Constance smiled slightly at Cassandra and nodded. "Yes, you are right," she said softly as she stepped out from underneath the elder witch's grasp. She closed her eyes and went to her demon form. She had found it easy to call forth. "Let's go," Constance said to Merrick as she shot up into the air. Merida watched as Constance took off into the air. She was proud of the young woman at the moment. She knew that a lot of people would be terrified of meeting their mothers, but not Constance. She then turned and hurried after Kasumi and Carolyn. Amelia's head tilted to the side as she stopped for a moment. "Nala has found her. Rosalyn is in a shelter of trees. She has managed to have them surround her, protecting her from any who attack. She is barely conscious. Nala can't get her to stir."

Kasumi shifted into a loping stance, her hand rising to the nodaichi-zanbatou blade over her shoulder before she suddenly and fluidly drew and slashed it downward in one fluid movement as a narrow crescent of crimson-orange energy shot from the tip, bisecting one demon from behind, the slice going from shoulder to opposite hip and leaving a shallow scorched crack in one of the trees ahead.

Lorcán twisted and flicked the kusari-gama, impaling one demon from behind squarely between the shoulders before he sent a pulse of white hot lightning that caused the demon with the bladed weight to stiffen, twitching as smoke trailed around him, the demon's skeleton visibly flickering momentarily and rapidly before he jerked the weight back, letting the smoldering corpse skid a few feet on the snow.

Merrick followed Constance, his gaze scanning around before he inhaled and exhaled a low coughing sound, a condensed bullet of wind slamming into a demon's head from the side and causing it to explode in a spray of gore. It was then that he noticed the snow shifting behind the others and glanced momentarily at Constance, gritting his teeth as bluish black flames flickered between his sharp incisors.

Naruto accelerated into a blur of movement, managing to assassinate two demons and fatally wound another before one spun, hurling a navy fireball at him that imploded into a jet of steam. It was then that his keen hearing picked up fabric shifting before he noticed the demons rising from the snow; his experienced warrior's gaze counted at least thirty demons trying to pin them down. He hurled one kunai and using a unique trick, multiplied it to six, though unfortunately it bounced off a barrier half a foot short from hitting them; he noticed that the barrier didn't stop the weapons from phasing through once they'd hit the snow and smirked slightly, as he had partially expected it. To his surprise, the eight demons left around Rosalyn twisted, though a beam of hot blue energy blasted through the demons trying to pin them down as two smaller blasts blew large holes in two of the demons, dropping them screaming to the ground as he saw a blur of dark blue, indigo, and black dropping to the ground. He saw no less than six demons either instantly killed by the beam of energy or incapacitated where they wouldn't be a threat any longer. He saw a couple of heads fly as he realized the blur was Merrick as the demons' prepared assault devolved into chaos as Merrick kicked three demons back with a familiar move he recognized as the Konoha Daisenpū .

Kaosujin Ryu on my phone so cant post a pic of Merida's weapon. But if you ever played soul caliber it is the weapon Ivy uses. Carolyn hurried forward, her eyes scanning the area even as she blasted several demons with light. They fell away, blinded, only to be sliced through the middle with a barbed chain. It wrapped around them, holding for a moment before slicing easily through the skin. She looked to Merida, giving the other witch elder a nod before contuing on. She caught a glimpse of a dark haired woman sitting in a protective enclosure of trees, but didnt have time to study her anymore than that. Cassandra's bow materialized in her hands as she shot arrows in rapid succesion. Each arrow hit true, catchinf several demons in the heart and exploding in sparks of lightening. The demons screamed, withering in agony before disappearing into dust. From what she could see of Rosalyn, she was in pretty bad shape. With a hiss of breath between her teeth she set the bow on her back as long strands of electricity shot from her fingers. She moved in close to the demons, striking at them and easily cutting them in half. Constance couldnt see her mother, but judging by how many demons surrounded one area she knew that she was there. She growled low in her throat as she shot down out of the sky and squashed the demons to the ground with a blast of air so hard it made bones crack and splinter. Before they had a chance to move she sliced each of them, quickly dislodging the heart from their bodies. The blackened organs fell away, withering and turning to ash. Merida swung her stick around and it elongated into a whip with barbed edges. The edges easily cut into the demons and she poured fire down it to incinerate the demons. She looked to Carolyn with a small nod before moving on. The demons were rising around them, so many for them to handle. Then both Merrick and Constance began their relentless assault. Amelia easily dodged the deomns, getting closer to Rosalyn's safety. As she reached the bunch of trees she managed to make an opening and slip in before it closed again. She got down on her kneews and held the other woman's head in her lap. "Do not fear Rosalyn. Everyone has come to help." Constance's mother had receeded deep in herself, keeping the pain to a minimum. There were burns around her wrists and ankles and her clothes hung in tatters. There were thousands of cuts on her, seeping blood and her face was bruised. She had put up a hell of a fight. Branches from the trees snapped out, sending demons flying to keep them away from the cocoon that had been made.

Kasumi gritted her teeth as she decapitated one demon and bisected another in one fluid strike, her eyes glowing hotly as her Kitsune blood heated in her veins.

Lorcán flung out a hand and the demons were hurled away from the trees as if hit by an invisible shockwave, which was partially true.

Merrick growled as he moved with inhuman fluidity as the demons tried to stay away from him or his blade as he moved with fluidity, every slash of his sword aiming to wound, incapacitate, or kill. His large nodaichi blade was a blur in the air as it moved, fireballs simply seeming to detonate feet from him, the snow steaming as he moved relentlessly forward. "Attack those I care about, and death will be a mercy," his low voice echoed as he spoke, his voice so cold it made the sub-arctic conditions around them seem like the Bahamas during a summer heat wave.

Naruto smirked as his paper bombs detonated, creating even more chaos among the demons though they only killed one and maimed another. He shivered when he heard Merrick's low voice; it reminded him of a very dark time in his own past, but he sensed that rather than it being directed at anyone strong in particular, it was directed primarily towards the demons.

The demons were thinning out. Most were dead, but a few turned tail and ran. No doubt they would be punished later, but the onslaught the witches rained on them was too much for them to bear. They would rather deal with the wraith of their lord than deal with the goodness that shined brightly in these others. Cassandra moved to be next to the trees that held Rosalyn and Amelia. Electricity surround the trees, shooting at any who dared to come too close. Her eyes narrowed, faint sparks showing deep in their depths. Constances landed on the other side of the shelter. She glanced in, catching sight of her mother with her head in Amelia's lap. She was bloody, beat up and burned. She growled and flung her hand out, sending all demons near her flying. Merida took a deep breath as she pulled her weapon back. She flung it out again, smashing it against a demon's head. She stopped when she heard Merrick's low voice. A shudder went through her body and she was glad that he was on their side. He would make one hell of an enemy.

Kasumi shifted her weight, shifting her gaze around warily as she paused feet from the shelter.

Lorcán took a deep breath before he went towards the shelter, his ringed irises scanning around rapidly, unaware he'd unlocked the sixth and final ring in his irises.

Merrick sheathed the nodaichi over his shoulder with a surprisingly fluid movement, his wings settling over his shoulders as he walked towards the shelter, the fluid strides seeming more like those of a stalking predator than a gentle friend and musician.

Naruto exhaled, noticing that for the most part Merrick had shifted back to his human form, though his demonic wings were still obviously visible and his irises were flickering between a deep navy-teal color and the hard golden yellowish orange of his demonic side. "Damn... he's intimidating when he's pissed off, and considering my past, that says a hell of a lot," he muttered to Merida who wasn't far from him as he caught one demon by the throat who seemed overly eager to try and get past them only to get thrown bodily through a two foot thick tree an instant before a bolt of lightning arced from the shelter and blasted through its torso.

Amelia whispered softly in Rosalyn's ear, telling her everything was okay and she was safe now. She just needed to hang on so they could get her out of here and healed. "Your daughter and her mate are here. She very much wants to get to know you. She has missed you her whole life. She is strong, beautiful...everything you and your husband ever wanted for her." She spoke soothingly in the other woman's mind. "Yes he is," Merida said as she looked over at Naruto. It was a good thing for them that Merrick and Constance were very protective and intimidating. They had such powers that the others could not even fathom. Cassandra looked around the Alaskan wilderness and saw it littered with demon blood and bodies. None of them were hurt, aside from Rosalyn and she was glad for that. They had hit hard and quick, surprising the demon's with their strength. Not to mention the strength and ferocity of Merrick and Constance. "Amelia---I think we need to get her out of her now. At least while the demons are fleeing. No doubt they will send stronger and smarter demons soon. I'd rather not fight them at the moment seeing as how bad Rosalyn's wounds are."
Constance shifted as the trees slowly began to unwind. She saw the concentrated look on Amelia's face and knew she was the one unraveling the protective barrier that her mother had erected. When it was down she made her way slowly to her mother, looking down at her. Rosalyn's eyes were closed and her breathing shallow. "She won't wake just yet," Amelia said softly as her head tilted up slightly. "The wounds need to be healed first. I say we make our way back to the meeting house. That will be the best place for all of us right now." When Constance nodded she spoke to the others. "Nala and I will travel our way. Meet us there. I need to see to her wounds now." As Nala got close to Amelia the earth opened up around them and swallowed them up. "Yeah, let's get out of here," Carolyn said as she looked around. "Damn demons...."

Kasumi nodded slightly as she concentrated, opening the portal unconsciously though a visible trail of blood trickled from the outer corner of her left eye; it was the only warning that the use of this technique had any sort of cost.

Lorcán tilted his head. "This is the time when we need a massive jet engine and simply toss the demons into it," he muttered.

Merrick took a deep breath as he folded his wings inward, feeling his shoulders itch as they melded into the skin of his upper back and shoulders.

Naruto grinned Merida's way. "By the way... you were downright hot, and I don't mean from the appearance of your armor," he said quietly, amused as he glanced towards the vortex of energy.

Carolyn went to Kasumi's side and wiped away the trail of blood that ran from the corner of her eye. "Let's get out of here." She said softly as she grasped the other woman's and led her to the portal. Cassandra snickered and nodded. "Sounds like a very good idea to me." She moved to the portal. "Right now let's just get back so we can take care of Rosalyn." She stepped into the portal and disappeared. Constance went to Merrick's side, wrapping her arm around his waist. "Let's go Merrick." She said softly. " I want to see my mother." Her voice trembled a little, the only indication that she was nervous. Merida laughed softly as she moved to Naruto's side. "What can I saw..the claws come out when I get angry." She nodded towards the portal. "Let's get out of here."

Merrick exhaled slowly as he hugged Constance close to him, letting her scent relax him and settle his demonic side down. "Trust me, love, she'll survive if she's half as stubborn and protective as you," he murmured as he guided her towards the portal.

Naruto chuckled. "Trust me, it'd be kinda hard to explain how I got frostbite on my a**," he joked as he scooped up Merida bridal style playfully before loping towards the vortex before leaping through it.
