One moment... nothing. The next moment, a silver haired lycan suddenly stood in front of the combat assessment zone, almost appearing to literally materialized from thin air. His teleportation like dash was so sudden in fact, it scared the s**t out of a nearby fox who started running. Forest green eyes would survey the training area, his muscular arms crossed as he looked over the front. So this is what they ended up replacing Hellgrind with... can't say it makes me sad. That place smelled like s**t. Dante would think to himself before he shook his head, placing a hand on the door and pushing it open. His eyes would vaguely scan the area, searching for familiar faces. Apparently, everybody he knew from Nocturne's former military was dead... or discharged. Probably dead. He was dead too right? God that was a shitty ordeal. Dante decided that if he could help it, the man would definitely avoid dying again. It would make his life easier... literally. After scanning the faces, he found the only person who even looked moderately familiar was Velox. and he barely even knew Velox! "Talk about a fresh rotation of faces... who the ******** are all these people?" He would ask himself under his breath, his naturally deep voice just barely above a whisper as he wasn't really talking to anybody in particular. After a moment of simply standing there, Dante decided to train. The lycan had died shortly after recieving his expert rank up, so he had plenty of room for improvement. After all, everybody else had a few years experience on him while he was rotting in a casket right? It was best to at least try to start catching up.

She was pretty sure what he said wasn't even in the English language but she understood the guttural slurs of mushing food. Red grinned, accepting his answer for now. "Mmhmm. The books are there.." a single thumb jutted towards the shelves aligned with various books. "Find the ones you need and go to town." The feral nodded, figuring he was competent to read. She then took notice of the super duper fast halfwit that came rushing in, a dull gaze befalling on his words though she said nothing. Turning, she went back to her own training area, if Chase needed help he could call, hopefully he would finish up training rather quickly.

Dante decided he needed to learn more about his bloodline before anything. He already knew the next technique he had to learn as well. For this, he would allow himself to slip to the beast... or at least partially. Slowly, the silver haired Lycan would allow Nero's body to take shape. The first thing to change was his eyes. normally forest green in color, they darkened and became muddled, shifting and changing until they were a bright vermillion red. The next thing to change were his arms. With his jacket sleeves rolled up, you could see Dante's arms becoming hairier and hairier, until they were decently covered with coarse brown hair. His hands were tipped in a set of deadly looking ivory white claws, and his teeth were equally just as sharp and slighltly elongated. his facial bones even shifted in places, giving his face more of an animal like appearance. Dante was now in a half transformation and he was feeling... different. His instincts and perception were heightened immensely. Animalistic. that was the word he was looking to describe this feeling. It was a nice one, it honestly made him feel powerful. Like he could rip somebody to shreds... and he wasn't even one typically for close ranged combat.

Immidiately after learning his Half transformation, the man shed his jacket. Then, his clawed hands would grip against his tight black shirt and pull it up and over his head, letting it drop to the ground. He left his pants on though. He discovered that a full transformation did not destroy his pants. And so he felt the transformation begin... It was almost instantaneous honestly. In what was pretty much an explosion of fur, Dante grew into a rather large; and deadly looking werewolf. He did not turn into this form for show however. No, the man had a much better reason than that. He needed to learn some new techniques, and he could only learn them in this form. And so the trickster began, deciding to start with the simplest skill he hadn't mastered yet. He started out by activating the skill bristling fur. Instantaneously, his velvelty coat of fur took on a porcupine and dangerous spiky look, like the wolf would impale anybody upon contact. Then, he focused his energy into hardening the fur even further. The fur continued to grow and sharpen, until it was almost as sharp as steel. The werewolf decided that for the next skill he should probably go outside. One moment he ws there. The next moment, he was almost instantaneously gone, as nobody would have been able to pick up where he had went with his rate of movement. Dante loved being able to dash again... it made him feel BAMF. Outside, The lycan activated energy in his fur. What happened next was amazing. Instantly, literally thousands of porcupine like quills would shoot off of Dante's body, flying literally EVERYWHERE. They got stuck in walls, trees, a lot of stuff. But luckily no people. That was the main reason Dante did it outside... that skill more than likely would have killed everybody inside, as nobody had really been paying attention to him. The werewolf simply stood there for a few moments, allowing his natural regenerative abilities to regrow his hair. This didn't take him very long, and soon his whole body was covered in the velvety light brown looking fur all over the masculine wolf body.

As soon as all of the hair on his body was done growing back to it's original length, Dante decided he would learn one more skill from his werewolf tree. This skill was a nice one, as it would allow him to call in some backup. It would be useful if any of the people he were to fight against were stronger than him as it would bog them down with extra targets. Slowly, Dante began to charge energy into his vocal chords and his mind, allowing the energy to process and build up into a call. Then, the lycan crouched low and howled, head raising to the moon as the howl echoed over Nocturne's alleys and streets. Through it's bends and neighborhoods. Through it's valleys and mountains even the sound echoed. for a moment, the the light brown furred lycan would wait. He knew that it would take a moment for his allies to make their way to his location. He would not be kept waiting long however. Almost literally 3 seconds after he howled three gigantic pitch black wolves would jump through the brush, each of them baring a fiery red gaze and a snarling mouth with a set of razor sharp looking teeth. Dante figured they were probably hellhounds. This was Nocturne after all. The wolves would circle around Dante, lightly brushing up against the werewolf as they circled him. Dante allowed one clawed hand to brush absently over one of the wolves, petting it for a moment as they stopped circling him and awaited his command. For now, Dante had nothing for them to do however. And so he disbanded the Hell Wolves, not really wanting to keep them around for no reason at the moment. It seemed kinda pointless to be honest. He had only summoned them to learn the skill in the first place. Since he had no real enemy, what was the point of keeping them here any longer? So deactivating the skill, he would disband them. The first wolf took off to the left, back to it's pack. It jumped gracefully over a nearby boulder, taking off into the woods. The last two would simply walk together for a moment. After they were a good distance away they took a sharp turn. Dante would watch the two wolves for as long as he could. Eventually they took a sharp left and exited the area was well. After this Dante decided he would continue. He needed to get the last of this training over with.

After learning the skill to call his canine allies, Dante instantly shifted back into his human form. The werewolf would walk over and grab his clothes, slipping on his shirt and jacket before doing the same with his socks and combat boots. As the silver haired lycan finished dressing he would unsheathe his greatsword, deciding to stay outside as the skills he was learning could hurt people inside... at least the first one could at least, as the explosion would create shrapnel from the rocks on the ground. With the blade unsheathed, Dante would take a stance comfortable to him with the blade out in front of him and it's tip pointing skywards. The man inhaled for a moment, focusing his energy into the pommel of his blade and making sure it was condensed as much as he could possibly make it. Once he finished he moved his arms and thrust the pommel forward, sending the compressed air speeding at the ground a safe distance away. The ground exploded, chunks of dirt and rocks flying everywhere. The explosion was rather loud. Surprisingly, none of the dirt touched Dante, who was still spotless. the trickster would twirl his sword around dextrously and playfully, the blade blurring as it sped around the lycan man with a dizzying rate. There was no particular reason for this. He was just happy he managed to learn all of these skills so damned quickly.

This next skill would prove to be an interesting one to learn as well. Settling into his stance once more, Dante would concentrate. The trickster built his energy up inside of himself once more, feeling his elemental essense rise within himself as he prepared himself once more. Slowly, he began to envelop his blade in a shroud of winds, making the air whir around the blade as he prepared the skill. Then, taking a step forward he would raise his arms. As his foot touched the ground he would swing downwards, the tip of his greatsword stopping a few inches above the ground. His eyes would remain a focused ray forwards as he watched the near invisible wind slice through the air at an amazing speed, slamming into a nearby wall. There was a ragged and deep slash in the wall from the point of contact, a sign that this skill could easily decimate any opposing forces that were unfortunate enough to be caught in the way of it. They would honestly more than likely be cut in half. As he finished the werewolf would slide his greatsword back into it's sheathe, smiling as he felt the blade slide home in it's oiled scabbard. Standing there for a moment, the werewolf contemplated what he should do... did he still want to be a military nut again? He had joined the military on a quest for power. He had power now, so what was the point? Hell it's not even the same Nocturne military buddies I used to have. Why the ******** do I wanna join the military AGAIN? To get ordered around and yelled at like the 'good ol days'? Ch'yeah. Right. The Lycan decided he needed time to mow this over. Upon deciding this he would literally vanish, his dashing ability taking him to a place of whereabouts unknown. A place where he could think. Since he was alive again, he decided to start planning on what he actually wanted to do. No doubt this would take some time...

Chase gave a simple nod to Red and hit the books. He had a lot of training to go through, but under her watch he would learn everything he needed to quite quickly. The first thing Chase built up was his speed, which he trained for by undergoing the speed training regiment in the trickster book. After doing some sprints back and forth of the CAZ, he had adequately increased his acceleration. This sorta thing came naturally to him, after all.
(speed training learned)

There wasn't anymore Chase could learn from the trickster book for the moment, so he put it down in exchange for a book on semi-automatic pistol techniques. Chase collected a few standard semi-autos from the armory and took to learning what he could, starting with a pistol whip. This skill was pretty standard. Chase practiced flicking the gun back, with his finger still in the trigger guard, so he could quickly grab the barrel of the gun. From this position he could easily smack surrounding enemies across the face with the handle of the gun.
(Pistol Whipping learned)

Then Chase hit the gun range to learn a few shooting techniques, starting with the snap shot. Using moving targets for practice, Chase learned how to shoot to where a target was moving without hardly thinking about it. He could then make the same movement and hit another target in practically the same instant.
(Snap Shot learned)

Finally, Chase practiced the trick shot. This was more or less a distraction technique, but it was meant to make the user feel like a badass, as if Chase needed more of an ego. He learned the technique by practicing the movements over and over again. First he would spin the gun on his finger, and then he'd toss the gun up into the air before catching it and firing a deadly shot accurately into his target.
(Trick Shot learned)

Afterwards, Chase returned the semi-automatic book to its rightful place and exchanged it for the fire elemental techniques. Everyone could learn these sorta techniques, even a ghost like himself. It didn't take much effort on Chase's end to start mastering the element by firing off a number of small fireballs with his punches and kicks. It wasn't highly damaging, but it was a flashy start for a flashy dude.
(Fireball learned)

Next the fiery racer had to learn how to deflect fire. He learned this by having another one of the students shoot fireballs his way, which he would then use energy to deflect around himself. Other fire techniques could also be deflected this way, Chase knew, but it would take more energy on his part to do so.
(Flame Deflection learned)

Chase then learned how to create daggers out of flame. He mastered this by focusing his fire energy into a point around his fist and fingertips, which created a blowtorch-like dagger of flame. Unfortunately it couldn't block solid objects, but Chase wasn't the type to be worried about those sorta things anyways.
(Flame Dagger learned)

Then the ethereal racer worked on improving his fireball technique. He gradually was able to generate a ball of flame in his hands, which he could launch at targets at higher speeds. This sorta technique took more energy, but it did a lot more damage and moved faster, which Chase was all about.
(Flame Launch learned)

Chase also learned how to condense his fire into a larger area, his fist. By coating his fists in flame, Chase could give his punches a potent and fiery kick. It was a rather simple technique beyond that. They were sure to make anybody think twice about getting into a boxing match with him, though.
(Flame Punch learned)

After learning the flame punch, Chase learned how to extend the flame further around his body. Following the book's instructions, he practiced extending the fire in his fist into a whip-like tendril that extended down to the ground. After mastering this ability, he could swing the flame around like a whip and burn his targets. It only extended out about 4 meters, but it was a better ranged technique than most of the other techniques he had mastered thus far.
(Flame Whip learned)

Chase finished his elemental training by learning the fire stream technique. By focusing his fire energy into the palms of his hands and extending them outwards, Chase was able to generate a continual stream of fire that extended for several meters. He preferred this technique to the others, because it could be better used why Chase was still moving. With his speed, Chase could quickly run circles around someone why blasting them with the fire from all sides.
(Fire Stream learned)

With that taken care of, Chase only had one last area of skills to develop, and that was his ability as a ghost car. Surprisingly, he was able to find a book on ghost cars. Some of the techniques he already knew, but there was some new material that he could cover. Chase started by learning the full metal punch, where he would hit someone with the same force as if they'd been hit by a car.
(Full Metal Punch learned)

Then Chase learned the bright light technique. He did this by materializing the headlights, and only the headlights, of his car behind him. The sudden flash was enough to distract anyone, and blind those who looked at him. It was a simple, but effective technique befitting a trickster like himself.
(Bright Light learned)

Chase realized that he could take the bright light technique a step further, however. By focusing energy into his eyes, Chase was able to make his eyes glow a neon red, much like the tail-lights of a car. Anyone who looked into his eyes while they were like this were immediately stunned, like a deer in headlights. Chase figured that this would make it easier for him to run his targets over.
(Highbeams learned)

The ethereal racer also managed to learn another trick. By materializing his car's tires behind him, Chase could easily kick up sand, dirt, snow, and other loose floor materials up at targets. With a little extra practice he was able to master this so that the kicked up articles would hit targets at face-level.
(Eat My Dust learned)

Chase could also materialize other parts of his car, like its doors. By channeling his ghost ability, the racer could have his car door suddenly appear nearby with just the wave of his arm. It was a simple move, but it had the ability to be quite versatile in the right circumstance. Chase could use the door to stop someone from running around him, or he could use it as a shield to hide behind, for instance.
(Car Door learned)

Finally, the white-haired poltergeist managed to master his last ghost technique for his rank, the ghost walk. The ghost walk was perhaps the most well-known ghostly ability, where a ghost could move themselves straight through solid objects. Chase mastered this ability by practicing walking through the CAZ walls a couple of times. When he felt comfortable enough with it, he walked through the walls one more time back to Red. "Finished." He simply stated, with a mild degree of accomplishment in his tone. "Now, how about we go for that ride?"
(Ghost Walk learned)

As he figured out how to use his flame daggers, Jack ordered his Roacher to remain in its current spot for now. He didn't want it to go mistaking the other trainees for trash anytime soon. He soon caused the blades to materialize at his fingertips. Taking a slash at a dummy with them, he found that it left a decent enough mark. However, he knew that the other fire techniques would take some time as well, so he decided to go and see Red after this, seeing as she knew more than he did. [2/2]

Jack soon got over to the area where Red was training at. It seemed she had also gained the company of some sort of ghost as well, due to him just suddenly coming out of the wall. Seeing as she was currently busy, Jack simply waited for a few minutes, taking the time to fiddle with his eyes for a moment.

The book she had been reading lowered, two twin crimson orbs stared above the leather edges and neatly decal wording that looked to be ancient. It was a bloodline book, one not of her own. From her seated position, Red looked up to the ghostly man, he couldn't see the smirk that the parchment hid. Chase was relentless in his persistence of her taking a ride with him, but it simply was not time yet. "Not yet. Are you finished with your training? If so, I have a mission just for you, Lola." She asked, hands closing the book quietly and setting it before the fold of her arms.

The bloodlusting spheres shifted their alluring glare to the human, Jack, at least that was what she thought his name was. "Are you finished also? Or do you require assistance with your training?" A questioning tone harboring no annoyance or malevolence, this was her job, and she was once like him. By no means was she easy on the humans than anyone else, they were just constant reminders of her own mistakes and a misguided past. Red smiled at them both, pleased that they were moving quickly but not offering any reassuring words of the kind.

Jack looked backed at Red, his scrutinizing emerald eyes locking with her gaze. 'I've come here for some assistance in training. My fire techniques could use some brushing up, and I will not require much besides a bit more information to get the most essential points of becoming a mechanist finished." He seemed to say everything with a certain efficiency, using a minimum amount of words to convey all the information needed, like some sort of machine.

Chase gave a simply shrug in reply to Red. "Yeah, I'm through training for now. So what kind of mission did you have in mind. This almost sounds like you have something fun in mind." He smirked, wondering what his test would be. He wasn't too excited about the idea of joining nocturne's military, but he was slowly warming up to it.

"Okay, Chase..." Soft features turned somber, this was to be his test and there was always a chance something would go horribly wrong and he wouldn't be cut out for this life. "Go talk to Kaltessa in the Red Light District, once you are done come back here and see me." He had his order, now it was up to him to follow through and prove himself of some value. Her smile returning cause his mission would certainly be interesting.

Then lush scarlet tresses shifted, the feral rising from her seated position to walk around the desk an past Jack. Her voice carrying in her wake, "Alright, come with me." They would cross the threshold to the outside courtyard where it was safer to unleash elemental abilities and not destroy the training facility. "What have you completed so far?" She turned back to look at him, snow crunching underfoot.

Chase's grin grew a little wider once he received his orders. He was to go to the red light district, his favorite place in the world. "Not a problem." Chase replied to his instructor as he slide his black shades over his eyes. "Be back in a flash." The white-haired racer turned towards the wall, and he disappeared. In his place, however, a red testarossa sports car materialized into reality. Its image wavered a bit, and then its engine roared to life. The car took blasted forward and drove straight through the opposing wall, but didn't crash through it. In fact, not a scratch was left on the wall. And just like that, Chase was gone.

As he followed Red into the courtyard, he couldn't help but feel a bit more thankful that this feral was now the captain of the guard. First his panic when he saw the king fight, now help with training? He couldn't think of anyone who had really given him more than a glance, so it seemed important to keep himself on this feral's good side. "If you mean by my elemental skills alone, I have learned how to use fireballs, deflect flames, and create flame daggers." Although he still knew Red meant well, he wasn't quite sure if a berserker, someone who didn't even use armor or weaponry, would know much of the strange ways of mechanists like himself.

Jace felt he had put off his training for long enough, his heart wasn't really in it, but he knew he had to do it sooner or later, better to punch through it instead of waiting for it to pass. He turned his attention back to the book of wind techniques and closely studied his first technique, the Air weapon, it would be an incredibly useful technique. It wasn't long before Jace felt he had a good enough understanding of how he would pull it off.
(1/3)

The technique was pretty simple, you just needed to make air move quickly enough that the pressure would be enough to pierce flesh and bone, probably even some metals at higher levels. Jace first practiced with a simple stream going through his hand, it seemed to be pretty successful so he quickened the flowof air, quicker, quicker, quicker... "Oh goddamn motherloving son of a ******** piss drinking whore!" Jace's colorful language was the result of his rookie mistake, he tried to grasp the wind, as the airstream got more powerful it sliced open the skin on his hand, it stung much like a papercut would but went deeper into his flesh, but not deep enough to cause much concern either.
(2/3)

This time Jace decided to try it the smart way, and instead closed his fist and projected the air stream from the top of it. He flinched each time he increased the speed expecting to be cut again, it never happened though and he came to a point that he believed was where he had been cut. He tested the blade of air on a nearby straw dummy, the blade pierced effortlessly. Jace had the technique down but it occurred to him, there was two ways to hold a dagger in his hand. He decided to try to move the airstream so that the gust would blow from the bottom of his fist. It worked and Jace moved the blade in all types of patterns and angles about his fist. "This might make a neat party trick," he thought aloud and let the energy dissipate.

Once they were at the furthest corner of the courtyard she cleared off a large section of snow off some crudely outline rock bench. Red extended a right hand directly towards the stoneworking, blasting it with fiery heat and flame to dry off its surface. After only a minute or two, she was finished and seated herself on the warm surface. Fists jammed into the cotton confines of her hoodie, she leaned over slightly, looking as if the cold threatened her, however, it did no such thing.

"So..." The word sliding from between two pale blue lips. "Are you wanting to combine it with your machine?" Only two people knew who she really was, what she had been, who she used to be. While did not have the skill set to raise the dead or make machines, the knowledge was still retained. Red smiled up at the man whose somber expression complemented Nocturne perfectly. "I'm assuming you have one." The smile fell away, her voice growing soft and barely above a whisper. "I can help you Jack. I know beyond the basic skills that you do for a mechanist, if you want, I can even give you the plans for a corrosive skill." The smile returned, she was more than what she appeared to be. Much, much more. She liked Jack, he reminded her of herself once upon a time. It was hard being human in this city but the one thing that the other nation's didn't have, was her, a wolf in sheep's skin. She would tend to her flock with devotion, nurturing them to surpass even their own goals. Even if she had to bark commands and bite back, it was best for them.

"I have a mission for you...when you are ready, that is." Crimson spheres, darted back towards the man. They were serious and she thought he could handle the assignment just fine, unlike the other trainees, he would be put to the test mentally instead of physically.

Next on Jaces list was a technique to give him a speed boost in a pinch and also a pretty impressive jumping height. He studied the technique carefully, he decided pretty quickly that the technique would take a lot of timing to increase his speed since he was already pretty quick. And the most effective method would be to thin the air in front of him or whatever body part he wanted to move and simultaneously create a thick stream of air flow driving it. Extra force and less resistance obviously meant more speed.
(1/3)

Jace first started practicing thinning the air, it was something he hadn't yet even experimented with and it took him some practice. He was beginning to become frustrated when he thought back to how he had learned every other technique, visualization... He started by pretending he could see a fog and then, began to clear the mental image. He stuck his hand into the space in front of him and Jace soon found out that the thin air fealt different, almost imperceptibly so, and he could also wiggle his fingers just a bit faster than normal.
(2/3)

Now it was time for the final stage, the air stream would have to be concentrated and only land on him himself so as to avoid ruining the thinned air in front of him. He pictured the wind this time as a rod that would push his fingers up as he lifted it. The speed of the movement of his trigger finger astonished him he wouldn't even be able to fire his gun that fast, the semi-automatic action wouldn't allow for it., He practiced with up an down movements, until he was satisfied he had the timing of the technique down to instinct.
