I know electric wouldnt hit, but I never really encountered ice with it. and trust me, I went through the elite 4 with that aerodacyl alone.

Electric will hit because it's a rock and flying type. Not a ground and flying type.

I go through the elite 4 with just a Tyranitar at level 58. Its not that hard of a feat. Now going through HeartGold and SoulSilvers national dex Elite with only one Pokemon is a difficult feat.

Both are susceptible to Ice attacks.

True, but Abomasnow is weak to both along side the fact that many bug pokemon are quick, it could already be dead before it could attack.

Not only that, but Abomasnow has pretty decent defense and special defense. Not the best, but decent enough.

Or Earthquake....Earthquake is super effective against the steel part, and does normal on the bug type...
EDIT: Never mind... It doesn't... It'd just do normal on him... XP So, yeah. Flamethrower.
