*The elf maiden was quite familliar with the myths of the Greek's, especially the tale of Persephone.
The seasons were sacred to the elves and all that concerned them was important knowledge, even if most believed myth to just be fanciful tales.
Then there was Sierra's own intrest into folklore and mythology that had nothing to do with her heritage and everything to do with her thirst for knowledge and her own curiosity. The story of Persephone being one of her favourites.
Despite knowing everything that Victor was saying, Sierra smiled with polite patience, giving him her undivided attention as if it were the first time she had ever heard the tale.*
"You do have a skill for Story-telling m'lord. Might I ask which of the Greek myths is your favourite?"
*He had danced around giving her a reply, but she wouldn't forget that darkness so easily... But for now if he wanted to think she had, that was fine as well. Let him try to distract her with a hundred tales, it would be to no avail.*

"Oh-- your mistaken."
He took hold of the bauble, ending it's images for good now. Slowly walking forward, his gait, and tone of voice never changed a bit.
"This is no story. It's something that's going to become quite real." Circling her, his smile never faded as he inspected her from every angle.
"I'm going to save this world, and prevent Destruction from taking place. To do that, I need the lifeforce of a million people... and a very special person.....So won't you help me, Hime-sama." His words whispered right into her ear, as he bent over slightly.

*The elf maiden's almond shaped eyes narrow as Victor circles her, her hand clenching around the pomegranite. Her breath escapes in a hiss through her teeth as she tenses. As Victor whispers in her ear, the first realization of what this man was planning hits her.
'Hime-samma'... It was as if he had just struck her, and she wavered for a moment, her still weakened body threatening to collapse.
Forcing herself to remain calm she turns slightly so she can look him in the eyes, her pupils drowning in golden flame as they flicker dangerously. Unfortunately, if he knew who she was, he probably knew that she was only grandstanding... That she could fight if she was forced to, but that she wouldn't last long.
She speaks calmly, but if he was paying attention, something dark flickered behind her eyes. Sierra wasn't the only one who suddenly felt threatened.*
"So you knew who I was then? Where's Vahn Victor?"

"Who knows...." He circled about her, his breath felt upon her flesh, his words only audible to her ears now. "Maybe he's dead." Yellowed eyes narrowed as a smile crept upon his lips. She wouldn't see it of course, unless she turned her head to face him. "Maybe he's alive." The sounds of the crowd had long since died out, the fact that only the two of them were "active" within the small sphere of influence would become apparent. At some point and time, the two of them had stepped outside the bounds of reality as we know it. But how? Who knows.... he wasn't certainly going to talk. But why? Only he knew...perhaps for privacy? "At any rate it doesn't matter where he is.... I have all I need for my reunion right here, Hime-samma. To the "underground kingdom"....won't you come and help me save our world?"

*The elf maiden surpresses a shudder, she had turned to watch him, and that smile chilled her to the core.
Having him this close to her, with nothing but his voice in the silence... his breath warm against her skin... She was beginning to feel light headed.
She backs up a step and lets her hands hang limp at her sides, forcing herself to remain neutral and not hug herself out of need for comfort.*
"I'm sorry, but I need to find Vahn... and I don't want any part in your scheme..."
*Surely he knew his brother was alive? And if he didn't, she didn't much feel like saying "Well of course he's alive! Or I wouldn't be breathing either!" She could only hope that this man knew little of the bond between the elf and his brother.*

"Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved." His eyes closed as he stepped backwards.
"The longer you deny the inevitable, the longer this planet will suffer.... I will ease that suffering, I will save it from Destruction." He extended out his right hand, towards her back, waiting for her to turn and accept.
"What's wrong with saving our world?"

"You'll prevent destruction by destroying millions of innocent lives?! How is that saving the world? Gaia's inhabitants don't want to be slaughtered to fuel the amount of lifeforce you need to make some twisted ideal reality! And I refuse to help you either!"
*Her heart racing she contemplates bolting, making a run for it... But it would be useless... She could feel the energy of the barrier that seperated them from reality pressing upon her.*
"Dame..."
*The feeling of light headedness only seemed to intensify as she stood there, and a fine tremble started throughout her body, a cold sweat breaking over her pale skin.*
"Destiny is a matter of choice... and you would wrest that choice away from all these people?!"

He stopped moving completely, and opened his eyes, staring at her backside as he fingered the fragile bauble within his grasp.
"Before answering that question, let me ask you something. Why is it wrong to kill human beings?"
He began approaching her once again, with each word he spoke, closing the distance between the both of them.

*She tensed as she felt his gaze burning at her back, rounding on a heel... not at all caring for where he had been staring, her eyes flash with anger*
"All life is sacred! All life is precious and to be reveared! And you would treat it like an expendable resource!"
*Her body was shaking now, trembling with a fine anger and with exhaustion, she forces herself to glare at him furiously, her eyes a raging golden inferno... while all she wanted to do was close them and shake off the dizzyness that was plaguing her.*

His eyes stared at her in amusement, taking the time to walk around her now. His head leaned back as he laughed out loud, the sound echoing within the contained sphere.
Stopping mid-walk, he suddenly pointed towards her, with the end of his sheath against her neck. The tone of his voice was completely chilling, even as he feigned care.
"Humans kill a lot of animals. And trees, and grasses, and flowers, too. Even if they didn't do it consciously, they still keep killing other living things. Why? Because the other living things can't communicate with humans? Because the other living things are not as clever as humans? Well then, is it justifiable to kill a living thing that cannot communicate with you and is less clever than you?"

*She took a step towards him, letting the sheath press against her throat as her own voice took on a dark yet passionate tone, her tail lashing behind her in irritation.*
"It's a funny thing to ask an elf! We who can feel the cries of the earth all around us... And while some of my kind may have become corrupt and uncarring towards the earth... there are those of us who still talk to our mother Gaia. Gaia is everything beautiful... and she is everything harrowing! She is all around us, all we have to do is listen and we can here her voice calling to us! You would kill more of her children and let their blood flow freely, further staining the heart and body of our mother?!"

"Oh?"
He dug the sheath in against her neck tightly, before pushing his body along and shuffle stepping forward to close the distance.
"Can you say that you have never taken a life before? Have you never eaten meat before? Aren't vegetables living things too? When you walk on the streets, have you never stepped on an insect too small for your eyes to see?"
Yellowed eyes stared impassionately as he released the pressure, moving the sheath away from her neck, and taking a step back.
"Animals other than humans kill other animals for food and survival, but humans are different. If it doesn't suit his purpose, he kills, be it those of his own kind or other living things."
He lifted the bauble up once more, images showcasing themselves.
"Of course this is not true for everyone....But even those who don't act that way, have definitely killed something in order to survive."
War after countless war was shown, the depravity of humanity in all its naked glory.
"Then why are humans not counted as living things that can be killed? Is it because humans are stronger than other living things? Then, is it justifiable for stronger living things to kill human beings? Let me ask you once more. Why is it wrong to kill human beings?"

*She chokes in a breath of air even as the sheathed sword threatens to crush the wind from her throat. She levels a glare as equally passionate as his was dispassionate at him.*
"There are those who kill needlessly, who are wasteful and have little regard for the lives they take... Then there are those who kill only when it is necessary... it is for those people that I would refuse to help you... For you in turn will only be the worst of all your examples."

"Your stumbling....Hime-samma." Victor smiled softly, as he took several steps forward, allowing his hand to cup her chin gently.
"This planet is dying. You who profess to commune with the planet itself, have no idea because you let system and faith blind you. Your people have become rigid in tradition."
Past wars fought in times long since forgotten...between mortals...gods...titans....flowed through the images the bauble was producing.
"The seals placed upon Destruction have weakened over time.... because of all the built up negativity. The accumulation is going to shatter any hope of restoring this planet.... But I can't do that if you won't help me...."
He stared into her eyes, words coming out truly sincere; of this she could be sure-- no lies were coming from his mouth. At all. He was a man who had absolute resolve in what he had to do.

*Sierra bit back a curse as Victor cupped her chin, it was as if a jolt of electricity laced over her skin and ran through her body to it's core upon the contact of their flesh, and it brought a small gasp from her throat.*
"If you know who I am... then you should know that I do not conform to my people's traditions, I merely uphold the ideals that were given unto us by Gaia from the beginning... If you can't do it without me... then you've wasted your time. I hear Gaia's bleeding cries all around me and you would have me inflict a million more wounds upon her!"
