Nik smiled at that and grabbed two of the little cups of apple sauce, going to the counter next to her and setting everything in his hands next to the juice. Handing the clerk a twenty he also grabbed a bowl and put everything in a bag, picking Shilo up once more and heading back to Moya's room.

The guns were cleaned, set under the pillows.. knives tucked under the sheets.. Jackie smiling slightly in her sleep as she cuddled said pillow to her chest, a giggle escaping her before she whispered. " no.. you wouldnt, Sal.. did shoot you, idiot.." content with her dreams she rolled over, still cuddling the pillow as her blankets fell to the floor.. a skull and oak leaf brand visible on her left shoulder blade. the candle on her nightstand flickered out and her room was cast in shadow, only her soft laughter and insults giving substance to the darkness.

The dream again.. the woods, screaming villagers in the distance.. the scent of burning straw and wood thick in the air. a village was burning, something she had done.. no, no it was not real! she would never do such a thing! a sob escaped her as she curled into herself, hands over her ears as she pleaded softly. " Salazar.. please, make this stop!" a twig snapped and she turned, her gaze falling on a mirror that formed from the earth.. yet no trace of her husband remaind. heart broken she moved closer, drawn by unseen hands to the innocent object.. her palm sliding against the glass. slowly a reflection appeared, Jack the Ripper smiling at her as their hands twined together.. and suddenly she was a creature of death, a wolf of bone muscle and fur.. howling in agony as the fire continued to burn.

Penelo opened her eyes slowly, memories of two lives.. two completely different women.. filling her mind. she had missed so much, yet nothing at all.. since the night the goddess stole her pact. The dream.. no, the memory.. the village burning.. Her village. sitting up she stared at the bed sheet over her feet, tears sliding from the corners of her eyes as she felt herself relax.. her expression filled with a soul-deep hatred. " Damn you.. Nature."

Salazar was on another walk through the village, feeling very mellow. His luck had fallen quite a lot it seemed. First the fight here, then seeing Kirai in the graveyard. It was all very stressful. Fortunately, walking seemed to take his mind off of it. All was going well until he saw her. Is that...Jackie? He thought to himself, watching the girl from across the street. It was her. His wife. Something about the scene, maybe the way she was dressed, brought back good memories of them together. But, that was a long time ago. Things were different now. Nevertheless after a few moments of deep thought he decided to approach her, just for a few moments. He walked slowly, nervously, until finally he was at her side. "Need some help with that?"

"...Okay." Salazar said, puzzled.. Maybe she forgot who I was. Tkaing his cloak off, he grabbed two bags and slung them over his shoulders, following Jackie to the wall. Or maybe I mistook this girl for her. Effortlessly, he stacked the bags and started on his way back for more, keeping his face somewhat hidden from her.

There it is. "Got me." He muttered, raising his head to look her in the face. "I saw you across the way and thought I'd pop in to see the ol wife." He felt a tiny bit more confident now that he could see her face. "How have things been?" He asked, completely serious. All pestering aside, he was curious to her current state.
