Joker clapped his hands together and stood up. "I am soooooo sorry, little lady for the wake up. My friend here doesn't have any manners. Would you like to watch t.v. with us?" Kyoshi looked at him wit shock. Joker talking to a kid. That was just scary. Joker looked at him with eyes full of knowing. "You know Kyoshi before coming here I did have a life. You know, the one with a wife and child." Kyoshi did a double take and wanted to ask the questions but Joker's attention was on the little eight year old.

Ali ignored Joker and walked to Kyoshi. She wasn't being rude, but the little girl was Ziggy's little sister. The girl noticed a lot of things. "You're the one who Miss Dusk was with. Do you know why she left, Mister?" This little brunette girl was adorable, golden eyes, one of the only features that she had of Ziggy's, were shining wide. "You seem sad."

Joker sat down at the corner of the couch, shut down by the little one. Though inside, he was glad she would get to Kyoshi. Since Joker couldn't get to the man, maybe a child could. They had a way about them.
Kyoshi looked surprised at the girl. "I was with Dusk because a friend told me to look out for her. I don't know why she left. She left without telling me why. But I will try and get her back, okay?" He never spoke to a little kid because they usually ran away from him.....right after he saved them. "I'm not sad little one. I look it because I've been around for a long time than right now, I'm really tired and want a long vacation." Which was the truth. Up to a point it was.

Tilting her head to the side, Ali's mid length hair went over her shoulder. Placing her hand on top of Kyoshi's heart, she closed her eyes. A few moments later, they were open. "But your heart is sad..." It was something that all of the Venom kids could do. Zaine, Ziggy, Ali. All of them had this insane intuition. Ali's just went to the point of being an Empath. "Cousin Zaine asked you to watch Miss Dusk?"

"Yes he did. He also gave me the keys to him bar to Dusk. So I'll bring her back to run the place." He looked at her with curiousity. "My heart is sad because I feel like I broke the promise to Zaine. We were friends before and well, I take my promises to my friends to heart."

Ali was young, but she wasn't as naive as this man seemed to be. "You like Miss Dusk...that's why you are sad..." Her hand was still to his heart. "That's what your heart says..." She looked at him, her eyes smiling softly. "Don't be sad. Miss Dusk is going to be ok. Big brother and Big Brother Talon will find her!" Ali smiled.

Kyoshi shook his head. "I only like her because I take care of her. I know your big brothers are going to get her. I trust that they care about her too. Now. How about you watch t.v with me and the old man over here? Have any ice cream?" He wanted to stop examining his feeling for Dusk because it wouldn't work out in the end. They were soooo different it made sense.

Tilting her head again, she looked at Joker. "I don't wanna. Not while you're sad." She walked over to Joker and tilted her head to follow his motion. "Is that ok, other Mister?" Ali was too cute, so different than her brothers.

Joker smiled gentlyn at the girl. "Whatever you like." Kyoshi shook his head. "I'll be fine. How about going back to sleep so your brothers don't beat me up for letting you stay up late?" He teased.

Ali looked at Joker and then at Kyoshi. "Big Brother Talon won't care. Brother might be upset...but he knows." The little girl was talking about her ability. Ali could look into people's hearts and souls. When she got older, Ali would be able to do so much more. Looking and walking back over to Kyoshi, she looked sad.

Kyoshi looked at her closely. "Why are you sad, little one? You should be happy at your age." He was slowly catching on, on what the little girl could do and apart of him unnerved him while the other just was numb. He didn't want to hurt the girls feelings and tell her to stop but it did worry him that this girl was highly aware of what was going on.

What Ali said next showed how mature this little child was. It wasn't hard to figure out that Kyoshi was sad, hurt...it was simple really. Even James had noticed, as they had spoken about it before they both fell asleep. When Talon had left, something had changed, and it had woken Ali. Walking into the room, she sensed exactly what was going on.
"Because," She said, her soft voice whispered now, sadness evident. "You're heart is sad...but you're not...I'm sad because you won't be."

That startled Kyoshi. Stupid heart. Stupid him for even having one. Sighing he ran a hand through his hair. "Would it make a difference if I was sad? Would you not be sad because I was? Little one, all my will to be sad left me along time ago. I am empty of sadness despite what my heart feels. It will pass soon. I'm sure of it." Who was he trying to convince, him or the kid?

Shaking her head, Ali looked at Kyoshi. "I know Miss Dusk. And I now know Mister Kyoshi. You are sad, and you're not. If you accept that sadness, then you will be ok. When you fight an emotion, then you don't overcome the emotion." The words were wise, way too wise to be coming from an eight year old, but the voice was one of innocence. "It's ok to be sad, Mister Kyoshi."
