Popo nodded in acknowledgement. She then began coughing, it subsided a few moments later. She still felt sick, but did not want to burden those around her or go into debt. She had been sick before and got by, she did not want to get sick again..

"Arigato gasaimasu, Onee-san. Yes, I am very good at keeping time and beats in all different tempos of music! I'm glad my music skills can be of help for something else." Yokome left the room and wondered why Iyasu-san wanted to see Popo. "I am off to practice my music for now." Yokome said as she exited.

Luna smiled and tried the mochi pleased with the taste. "It's delightful Rejin-chan!" She smiled and her coughing had subsided even the color had returned to her face. She reached for her brush and combed out her hair again to prevent tangles then setting it down finished her tea and the Mochi. "Thankyou both, you have been so kind to me! I will surely repay you, when I am well I will take you both to get pastries at the Inn. I'm sure you'll enjoy it once the rain subsides more and it dries up." She paused again and was aparently holding back her coughs as no to worry the girls.

She turned to her vanity and listened to her the young lady cough. It seemed that her time in the rain had gotten to her. Iyasu faced the novice, holding onto a small box. "Popo-chan, I have something to give you. I gave Yokome one and now I give you one as well." The young geisha held out the package to her, "I hope this will last you a long time."

Popo looked at Iyasu. She received the package, weary to open it. "What is it, onee-san? I don't feel very deserving of a gift." Popo sighed a bit, still thinking of all the mistakes she has been making..she couldn't help but feel unworthy of this gift from her onee-san.

"It is your own set of make-up with the brushes and other tools you will need to apply your make-up when we go out and entertain!" She smiled, "I'll teach you how to put it on, once you are well. Which reminds . . ." She turned around once more and plucked the small silk square from the corner of her vanity, "This is a family recipe. It is medicine to help you get well sooner. Please, take this so you will become well. All right?" Iyasu looked over the young lady to find any form of discomfort because of her concern, "Tanpopo, I wish you well because I care about your health as a teacher, friend and most of all as a sister. Please, do not threat about others worrying about you, we're family here. We care about you very much." The pisces made eye contact with and the novice and continued on with her soft smile.

Popo smiled faintly, "Thank you, onee-san. I am unworthy of your kindness." Popo bowed slightly. "Goodbye for now." Popo turned and left the room and headed to hers.
Popo placed the box with her set of make-up and accessories in its place. She took the medicine before laying down to rest. Popo was so exhausted. She coughed a bit in her sleep, but a smile was upon her face. She was still happy and she dreamed great dreams as she peacefully slept.

Yokome walked down the hallway to her room, her kimono gliding behind her. It was time for her to practice her music a little. She changed out of her heavy kimono and set it on its stand and changed into a cotton purple yukata with a flowing river and cherry blossoms. She opened the sliding closet and took out a dusty wooden case. She carefully unfolded the cloth from aorund her shamisen and koto. Both stringed insturments. She plucked one of the strings and found it to be horribly out of tune. She then sang a note to tune them correctly. Once they were tuned, she began to practice. 'It has been so long since I have played,' she thought, 'It brings so many old memories to me'

Reiko simply smiled and cleared away the plates and the cups once Luna was done with the little snack. "It's all right Luna-chan, just rest... and cough if you have to, it does no good to keep the germs inside of you." She had learned that from her mother a few years ago before the came to the okiya. To cough was the body's way of expelling the germs, and to keep them inside of you would only lead to a longer illness.

Luna only smiled a moment, she was pale, though after the tea and snack the glimmer had returned to her eyes and she looked somewhat better. "I just hope that this rain will lift and I can get better it's not good to miss classes especially right now when I am in need of finding on Onee-san." She sighed slightly enjoying the company of her friends.

Iyasu emerged from her room and listened to the plucking of a koto. A soft smile came to her lips as she listened to the music. Her favorite instrument was the koto, besides the shizuka. She continued on her walk down the hall in search of her older sister, Kyoku. She wished to seek her advice.
"Kyoku-san . . . ?" She called out.

"All rain passes with time Luna-chan." Reiko spoke softly as she was still cleaning up from their snack. It had satisfied her hunger for the time being as she remained kneeling properly on the mats, despite there being no need to do such a thing. "Things will get back to normal... and you will find an onee-san. I'm sure any Geisha would be honored to have you as their imoto-san." And she offered a kind nod before she patted Luna on the shoulder. "You should lie down and rest some more, no one is going anywhere today."

Luna shook her head. "Actually Reiko-chan, I really feel like painting..." It was one of two gifts Luna had, She could paint and she could sing, Luna was alright with dance though she disliked playing insturments. Looking around she couldn't think of anything to draw with. "Reiko-chan, can you do me a favro? I know you two wont let me up so I'm asking if you could get my paints from our room?" She actually smiled for once this morning at Rieko's comment. 'Thats if I ever meet any Geisha...'

"Oh dont worry about it, if something happens, i'll get you the one you were supposed to get. Thats one of my personal yukatas, doesnt hurt the okiya a bit. I havent worn it in ages, so its completly fresh."
Kyoku lips curled into a kind smile as she adjsuted a loop of the girls hair. "I came to the okiya when i was 11 and started my maiko training when i was 12, i moved quickly though, because i am the daughter of a famous geisha already. I still had to do plenty of chores with the other maids of course, but since i had training since i could walk, there was no need for years of classes before another geisha would think to take me on. I became a geisha when i turned 18, and now im 23. My how time flys." She reached her hand up to her neck as her mind became consumed in the past. The call of her little sister from outside the rooms startled her back into the present.
"Yes Iyasu-san?" She called from the front parlor "Iyasu-san was my first maiko." Kyoku said to Kaori

Once Shizuka had finished the dished, she sighed softly, took off her apron for a moment, and sat in a chair. She grinned with satisfaction, feeling like she had accomplished very much today. She looked around, a slight feeling of loneliness creeping over her. It was such a large Okiya, surely she could manage to find some friends. She stood. That would be her last accomplishment for the day.
She headed out of the kitchen in search of somebody to converse with. Though she wasn't always confident while meeting people, she knew that this, this being social thing, was a very important lesson if she were to become a geisha. And even if she didn't, it was also a neccessary part of life, to be able to converse and not be afraid.
