"So that means we're off to...?" Kasiya asked, smiling at him from her sitting position. She'd missed that look he'd get when he was excited.

Gastly's final form, a Gengar, erupted from the Pokeball. It had a rather menacing look on its face. "Finally," Nina said, "you use a good Pokemon. I think I may actually have a little of a challenge." Morty's eyes got a little big and he called back, "I don't think you'll get the chance to enjoy this one. Gengar, Fire Punch attack, now!"
The Gengar's arm grew a reddish color, and soon a flame exploded in its palm. It raced at a nearly invisible speed at Kuma, and struck it very hard, before returning to its side of the arena. Kuma was in obvious pain, and was horribly close to fainting. "Kuma," Nina said, "please hang in there! Strike it with a Faint Attack!" Kuma weakly nodded, and gathered its strength to unleash a Faint Attack on Gengar. Due to the fact that it hadn't been exposed to Screech's effects, the attack wasn't as powerful.
Before Kuma could return back to Nina, Gengar slammed it with a Shadow Punch, causing it to faint. Nina recalled it, and grasped her last Pokeball. It flew from her hand...

"Farabororaoalal" Mike stumbled with the name of the town. "Dang it, I can never get it right."
..."Fallboralyl..."

((We need to get me a Sludge Bomb TM too!!!)) "Ah. Fallarbor Town," Kasiya grinned. "Do you think I could get one of those TMs too?" she asked hopefully.

((Sludge Bomb is right in the Dewford building where they rant on about cool phrases))
"I'm sure he will give us something, he's a nice guy, really really weird, but a nice guy." Mike smiled as he stood up, covered in sand.
Nitro and Portabello had just been playing catch with a sqeaking Proton, happy to be part of the game, even if he was the ball.

((*evil laugh*)) "I hope so," Kasiya said, standing up and brushing the sand off of her as a group of chattering kids came towards them. She distinctly heard the words "Locomotive Machine," and one of them yammering on that he had all kinds of official merchandise. Another girl was complaining that her Pokemon didn't really undersand the intensity of 'Locomotive Machine', but they stopped in front of Kasiya and Mike.
"You guys know what's hip and happening, right?" the girl asked, stepping forward. "Locomotive Machine is totally in."
"You're off your rocker," Kasiya scoffed, and the group just looked at her. "It's clearly obvious that you guys aren't on the up and up with the newest trends."
"What's trendy now?" one boy asked, nearly falling at her feet. The group murmered agreement, and waited for her to answer.
"Gullible Knaves," she said simply, nearly unable to contain her laughter.
"Now that is, like totally awesome!" the girl shrieked excitedly, and dug through a flashy pink thing covered in feathers that Kasiya assumed could pass for a purse. She handed Kasiya a faintly purple disc, looking utterly thankful. "Thank you for your wisdome, Oh Trendy One," she said, and the group moved on, now the only words to be heard from them were "Gullible Knaves". Kasiya put the new TM disc away, and started laughing hysterically.

"We screw with them so bad, it's horrible!" Mike and company couldn't help but laugh histerically at the foolishness of this little island.
Portabello had been practicing his new tecnuique, inhaling and exhaling, shinging grey each time his breath eas released. "Breeeloom!" He chirped, still happy over his win.
Nitro had been rubbing his stomach, a combination of hunger and pain overcame him as he trudged along.
"Oh! I almost forgot to go to the Pokemon Center!" Mike shot a look at Mitsu and Kasiya, then tore off for the Center, kicking up sand as he ran.

"Don't worry," Kasiya said sardonically. "We'll catch up..." but he was out of sight before long. "We'd better follow him," Kasiya smiled to Mitsu, and the two walked after him. I should really call home, Kasiya thought, staring at the ground as she walked.

...and Mihoshi came out. It looked at the Gengar, and didn't seem to be phased by it. Morty chuckled. "A Normal-type Pokemon? It won't even be able to touch Gengar!" He laughed, and was soon joined by Gengar.
Nina smirked. "Oh... that's what you think," she said craftily. "Mihoshi, use Mimic!" Mihoshi nodded, and wiggled her left hand around. A moment later, she had learned how to perform Shadow Punch. "Morty raised an eyebrow, not knowing which move had been copied. "Gengar, Fire Punch!" The Gengar rushed toward Mihoshi, but she quickly withdrew into her shell before being struck by the attack, greatly reducing the amount of damage taken. Nina grinned. "Mihoshi, slam him with Shadow Punch!" Morty's eyes grew as Mihoshi charged toward Gengar, wiping out a large portion of its health. "No!" he said, a little worried. "Gengar, Night Shade!" Gengar nodded, and inflicted a rather fair amount of damage unto Mihoshi.
Another grin came from Nina. "Sorry. Didn't work." She looked to Mihoshi. "Finish it-- perform another Shadow Punch!" Mihoshi rushed at Gengar again, and slammed him with precision accuracy.
Gengar fell over. Morty recalled him, and the match had been won. He reached into his pocket and started walking toward Nina and Mihoshi.

As he ran, Mike recalled all his Pokemon, and dashed through the door. "Hi Dewford Joy!" he gasped for air, all this running was going to kill him one day, he was sure of it. "May you please heal my Pokemon? I just defeated Brawly and I'd like them to feel better."
"Sure Mike, I heard all about you and your friend Mitsu's win today, it's the talk of the town!" She happily accepted Mike's Pokemon and walked into the treatment Center.
"We...are?" Mike looked around the room and noticed several young trainers eying him. "Is that him? The one that beat Brawly?" A little girl whispered to her friend.

Kassie and Mitsu came in a short time later, talking quietly to each other and giggling. Kasiya sat down on one of the benches, while Mitsu took her scarcely injured Pokemon for a check up. In one had, Kasiya clutched her pendant, in the other, her PokeNav. She was trying to decide what to do - call home or let them call her? She sighed, and stared out the window. How would she be able to face anyone back at Vermilion? Who else knew about this? She was suddenly struck with an idea. She turned her PokeNav on and quickly selected a number from her list, and waited patiently while the device rang.

"Way to go Nina!" Sasha waved both arms in utter joy as she watched her friend obtain a victory. "You and your Pokemon did awesome!"
Hm, that makes me want to win a few badges of my own... She thought to herself, looking at her Pokemon.
Sasha turned around and headed for the exit, not to thrilled about traversing the invisable path again.

"That was a very well-played match, Nina," Morty said, grinning. "I haven't had that much fun in quite awhile." Sabrina approached her sister, whose smile could hardly fit on her face.
"Here you are," Morty said, handing Nina a purple disc. "That there's TM 30-- it contains Shadow Ball. It's a strong move that can help to reduce your opponent's special defense ability. And this," he said, holding up a badge which resembled a quote bubble, which had two small triangles at the top of it, "is the Fog Badge. This enables you to use Surf out of battle, at any time that you so choose to use it."
Nina pocketed the TM and immediately pinned the badge on her shirt, for the world to see. She then picked up Mihoshi and held her in her arms. Mihoshi chirped and trilled happily at her first gym leader victory.
He chuckled a little. "You did good, kiddo. You really must give me your PokeNav number-- I'd more than love a rematch with you someday." Nina smiled, and they exchanged numbers. "I'll be looking forward to it," she said. Morty's gaze then shifted to Sabrina. "And you," he said, "it's been ages. I'd love to catch up sometime." Sabrina raised an eyebrow, replying, "No thank you, Morty. I remember what happened the last time we 'caught up'-- the situation with the angry Psyducks and the swarming Beedrill..."
Nina turned and left the arena, walking back along the invisible path to get to the entrance. Sabrina followed, calling, "Good bye, Mortimer!" She laughed as she was leaving and he replied, "Don't call me that!!!"
The rain greeted the girls as they walked outside. Nina had never felt more at ease.

Stepping outside to a torrential downpour, Sasha recalled her Pokemon, save Lightbulb.
Thinking to herself, she finally whipped around and spoke. "You know what girls, I think it''s about time I started winning myself some badges. I can''t compete in this high of a level, so I''ve made my decsision, I''m going back to Kanto to start there."

"You're not a Pokemon," Jaeshan said, his eyes wide.
The young man who now stared back at him had reddish hair, and warm hazel eyes. He looked rather amused. "No, of course not," he laughed. "I just like to dress like them sometimes." He winked at Jaeshan, who could only blink.
"Don't we all," he muttered, still a bit wary.
"Not really, no," the man laughed, and held out his hand to Jaeshan. "My name is Bill, and I'm a true blue Pokemaniac. Some say I'm obsessed, and to be quite honest," he scoffed. "They are absolutely correct." His grin was rather broad, and his eyes seemed to be laughing.
"My name is Jaeshan," the young trainer responded, shaking Bill's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Ah, Jaeshan," Bill said thoughtfully. "Clever name. And I also must comment on your battling. It's simply marvelous. Your Pokemon are a determined bunch, and I also must thank you," he said, walking over to a stove and putting a kettle on, "that naughty little Bellsprout has been stealing the seeds from my garden for quite some time now."
"Oh, that's no problem," Jaeshan said, still feeling chilled. "I came here specifically to capture a grass type. You see, I plan on challenging Misty soon."
"You should have no problems," he smiled. "Butterfree and Bellsprout would do well with both of them knowing Sleep Powder." He finished setting up for tea, and came over to Jaeshan again. "I know you're soaked and chilled, but first I have a favour to ask of you," he said, his tone suddenly serious. Jaeshan nodded, wondering what it could be. "I need you to unstick the zipper of this costume...I've been stuck in it since last night," Bill finally said, and Jaeshan couldn't help but utter a laugh.
"Of course," he said, and soon the unstuck Bill was free of the bulky Kangaskhan costume.
"Thanks," he said, flexing his newly freed body. "I've been hoping all morning that someone would come along and be able to help me. Now let's get you and your Pokemon all dried up, shall we?"
