Konohamaru quickly shook his head when he saw the girl. Great, not only is it a Genin but it's Mai-lin. If anything happens to her, Kei will be crushed.
"Your aim hasn't gotten any better I see."
Takeshi chuckled. "Are you sure about that?" he nodded towards the door. Outside in the hallway a nurse lay dead on the floor, burnt to a crisp from the fireball that had shot through the door. "Seems she was coming to investigate all the noise..."

Mai-lin frowned and cocked her head to the side. She could help! Takashi didn't seem to know she was here. She had an opening and she should be taking it!

Anekio shifted, seeing Mai-lin out the window and sighed. She was beginning to feel dizzy from the blood that seeped out of her cut. "Tch, let's just get this over with. I'm growing bored." She wanted this to hurry and end, dying from blood-loss is pretty shameful.

"Think you have enough energy left to not get yourself killed, Anekio?" Takeshi said as he turned towards her, keeping one eye on Konohamaru. "Not that I care." He started towards her, figuring on getting the weaker one out of the way first.
Konohamaru charged across the room and drove a kuni into the back of Takeshis leg, causing him to yell out in pain. "You seem to be the one who's grown slow, Takeshi."
"Hn, I think not!" He used the leg he'd just been stabbed in and kicked the older man hard in the stomach, sending him flying backwards into the wall with a loud thud. He reached down and pulled the kunai out of his leg and tossed it to the side.

Ran gave a glance to the guard, who huffed slightly and turned to keep watch out the door, before turning her eyes over to Tori. "How am I supposed to be feeling...?" She asked, trying to figure out if she was there to recover for questioning, or if she was there just to recover, or anything.
"Better then I probably was when I got here." Ran then murmered, noting Tori's caution around the window. She gave a cough as she looked at the other female, listening to some of the noise from the fighting. "What's going on?" she then asked when the coughing subsided.

"Sarutobi-san!" Mai-lin gasped. She grabbed hold of the windowsill, ready to jump in. She swung her legs and kicked herself into the room. She landed in the room behind Takashi and threw her kunai at the man, hitting him in the back.

Anekio smirked slightly. "I probably do, but I don't think I'll be getting killed if you can't even handle a Genin." She looked at Mai-lin and smiled at her before pulling out her katana. Wincing as she did so, she added chakra to it and charged at him, giving him a good slash across the arm before jumping back as best she could.

Takeshi reached behind him and pulled the kunai out, wincing. "You again, huh?" He said, his voice a bit strained from the pain. "This time I will kill you and your boyfriend isn't here to stop me." he pointed both blades at her and made a bigger fireball and fired it at her.
Konohamaru jumped over and knocked Mai-lin out of the way before she could be turned into barbecue. He slowly got up, his whole right side burned from the fire. "That's gonna leave a mark." He then turned and looked at the girl. "I thought I made it clear that you were to stay out of this, Mai-lin? Now get out of here before he really kills you."

"But I can help." Mai-lin said. She stood up and dusted herself off. She pulled out another Kunai and waited for another attack or opening. She knew she should listen to the older ninja and leave but she would be mad at herself if anything happened to Kanohamaru when she could have helped.

Anekio shifted to one side, looking at her Genin and Konohamaru. "Look, I know this may be tough, Mai-lin, but we're Jounin and ANBU. We can handle it, really. Takeshi wants to kill you if you haven't noticed yet, so please listen to him." She winced again, preparing for another attack as she huffed. "If you think we look bad, worse will happen to you, you haven't been trained to handle this yet."

Konohamaru cut Takeshi off as he made for Mai-lin again. "Anekio is right, now get the hell out of here!" He snapped at her as he dodged the deadly blades. He swung his kunai and managed to leave a nice cut across the other mans face.
"Why are you protecting someone that seems to want to die?" Takeshi asked as he stabbed his blade forwards again. He left a deep gash on one of Konohamarus arms and grinned. "Looks like I have to cut you up into pieces before you back down."

Anekio saw her opening when the two men were in combat. She put her katana away and pulled out a kunai, jumping on Takeshi's back and holding it to his throat. "Give up and get the hell out of here, or I kill you, now." She hissed against his ear, pressing the point into his neck, not enough to kill, but to leave a mark and let blood start falling.

"Heh, attack when you think it's safe huh?" Takeshi chuckled. "Too bad you were too late." With Anekio still on his back he moved away from the door, pulling his sword out at the same time. Once the sword was removed, Konohamaru collapsed onto the floor as that was what had been holding him up.

Anekio nearly screamed at the sight of the Sarutobi man. She'd seen commerades be killed, but she wasn't at such a close range. Her whole body felt cold, and the wound wasn't helping especially with her dizziness spell. She held the kunai there, putting more pressure on it. "You b*****d." She spat against his skin. "How dare you hurt a man with much more ability to follow the way of the Shinobi in his pinky than you'll ever have." She hadn't said "killed" for a reason, probably from hope that Konohamaru would still be able to make it a little longer.

Takeshi reached up and grabbed her wrist that held the kunai and pulled her forward and over his head, causing her to land on the ground beside the heavily bleeding Konohamaru. "Thought you'd want to get closer to check to see if he's dead." Still holding her wrist, he bent it behind her back to hold her still.
"Anekio...take care of...my boys." Konohamaru said as his eyes started glazing over. His whole body stiffened before he let out his last breath.
((Yeah I killed him 'cause I'm evil like that sometimes.))
