Kasiya was so focused on smacking that grin off the Duskull's face that she hadn't even realized that she nearly bowled Mike over in the process. Zaira gave herself a little shake and glared up at the snickering Ghost-type before looking back over shoulder at Kasiya for her next command. The blonde had taken out her PokeDex and was glancing through the Shinx's moves as she still wasn't overly familiar with them. "Alright then, hit it with a Spark," the girl said, giving a nod as she looked up at the Requiem Pokemon. "We're not going to let this guy push us around!"

The Shinx gave a cry and darted forward, her little body becoming cloaked in electricity as she jumped at the startled Duskull. The Ghost-type flailed its arms as it floated back, trying to avoid the Shinx's attack, but to no avail. Zaira kept right with it, throwing all her weight forward into the electrified tackle. Kasiya watched from afar, a proud grin etched onto her face as it was safe to say she was already quite fond of the little Electric-type.

Duskull wasn't going to back off that easily, however, and since he decided that he didn't like being zapped, he raised his arms, red eye glowing a curious blue as he stared down the Shinx. Very suddenly, Zaira couldn't recall even using her Spark attack, which made for a very confused Shinx when Kasiya had asked her to repeat it. Must have been Disable, the experienced trainer thought, frowning as she glanced at the 'Dex. "Okay then, Leer!" She figured that their next hit might as well be a good one.

The Shinx took a step forward, her yellow eyes gleaming as she shot an absolutely indignant look in the Duskull's direction. It did little to deter the Requiem Pokemon, however, as it simply glared right back before catching the Shinx off-guard with a second Astonish attack. This time, the ghostly Pokemon rammed its face right into the little blue kitten, knocking her back. Zaira did not cower in fear this time, however, as she jumped right back to her feet and loosed a fierce cry. It was easy to see that she was angry, and no mystery as to why, either. She stomped a tiny foot down on the ground, causing her entire body to start shining like a star.

Kasiya stared, wide-eyed, as her little Shinx began a rapid growth spurt, nearly doubling in size by the time she was visible again. Other than a few extra tufts of fur and a longer tail, her overall physical appearance didn't change all that much, but the sudden evolution had certainly startled the Duskull. With a wave of his arm that seemed to say 'screw this, I'm outta here', the Ghost-type made itself scarce, vanishing back into the mists from whence it came.

Oh how this Shuppet wished she could do the same as her fellow ghost! She was only pulling a sort of harmless prank! That didn't mean she had to be subject to such a fiery punishment! The Puppet Pokemon let out another wail of pain, this one far weaker than the last, so weak in fact, that Mike barely heard it.

"If that's not a cue than I don't know what is." he said to Vesuvius. "Give me a clear shot." On command, the Torkoal stomped his foot, the flames surrounding the wild Pokemon dissipating instantly. While it was hard to tell just how tangible ghost Pokemon were, it was very clear by the look of this one that it had been on the receiving end of some harsh attacks. "Don't you worry!" Mike said, tossing the empty ball up once and catching it before taking aim. "I'll have you all fixed up in a JIFFY!" With that, he let the ball fly, wincing as it collided with the Shuppet. If it wasn't on the verge of unconsciousness before, it sure was now. Now with even less of an idea of where it was, the Pokemon disappeared into the Pokeball, the device falling to the rock path with a loud click.

You may have thrown that a bit hard. The ghost commented, pointing a sharp finger at the shaking sphere.

"I, um, noticed that." Mike replied, sucking in his lips. "Guess I don't know my own strength." Suffice it to say, the ball didn't wiggle much before the red light on it dimmed, signifying a successful capture. Before he even had the chance to cheer or pump his fist, the Pokeball disappeared in a flash of light. "Right. Full team. So! How are things on your end?" Mike turned back to Kasiya, who now had a much larger not-Shinx standing in front of her and no Duskull in sight. "Oh, I get it. Those things have to eat Duskull to evolve. I forgot." he rested his chin on the girl's shoulder, smiling widely when she turned to look at him. " 'grats on the evolution, love."

"Tor." Vesuvius added, succinctly.

"Alright. I'll pick out something quick and head over." With the conversation over, Crenu wasted little time. Renewed with a new sense of purpose, he quickly picked out a few shirts and panta, changing into a set of black jeans and a white shirt with two vertical stripes going down from either shoulder. He rather liked it, at least it was better than the 'rags' he was wearing before. Wearing it out of the store he stored the rest of his purchase, tossing the old clothes as he stood outside of the department store. Riza was waiting for him, and she wanted to see him. She wanted him to be there with her, and that really made him feel better, almost normal. Pet Shop's glittering down shone in the sunlight, the Fearow didn't even protest this time as Crenu climbed on it's back. "You did well in that battle, we were able to win thanks to the strength you displayed. But you were only able to take out one pokemon, you'll have to do better next time. Now, onwards to Cerulean, show me you're still superior in your speed." Crenu wasn't overly upset with his Fearow, although having the type advantage he would have liked a bit of a sweep which didn't happen, but it was a good battle none the less. Pet Shop however was determined to prove himself, and make up for such an disgrace. To allow his wonderful feathers be ruffled and trampled on by a lowly tree, it was disgusting. He let out a loud squawk as he spread his golden feathers and kicked off of the ground. Taking to the blue sky almost instantly, they sored northwards away from Celedon.

It really didn't take very long for the speedy pokemon to make the trip, Cerulean was very close. Crenu would have liked to have flown directly to Pewter but it was a city he had yet to visit, they'd probably have gotten lost if he'd tried. But as he understood it Cerulean and Pewter were very close to each other, the famous Mt. Moon standing as the only obstable. Crenu recalled Pet Shop as they landed, not bothering to check in anywhere as this city had nothing he wanted at the moment. As he walked though, it dawned on him that there were a lot of weaker pokemon along the way there. As a fairy heavy traffic area for traveling trainers and the like, Mt. Moon had well carved out and simple paths as well as pokemon used to seeing humans and of a tamer nature. While Crenu wasn't on a training mission, he'd made good time to Cerulean with Pet Shop, so any wild pokemon they might encounter could be good training fodder for Carmen. He tapped her pokeball and out the little Elgyem came, happy to see Crenu as she hovered up around him. "...Stay close. Let's see what this mountain has to offer."

"Sigilyph eh? It's a pleasure." Ken gave the strange pokemon a nod, and then it was sucked away into it's pokeball leaving the two trainers to find their way out of the forest.Ken chuckled a bit at Jae's guess, his disguise worked perfectly. Of course Ken was more happy that his outfit looked the part more than he was happy that Jae wasn't being accidentally memmory shocked by his presence. It was true that Rowan told him not to confront Jae yet, but he seemed fine. Besides, hiding in plain sight is better, and he could keep a better eye on him this way. "No no, nothing like that. I just have a certain flare for period clothing, that's all. You gotta admit, this looks pretty cool doesn't it? Like any second now Jimmy the Nose and Eighty Eight Fingers Eddy are gonna jump out to take me to the boss who wants to rub me out for snooping. Heh heh, why, do you need a detective?" As Ken spoke, he turned his coat collar up and pulled it closer to his face, putting his hands in his pockets. "Cause I've been known to crack a case for the right price, see? Never trust a dame in a red dress Kid, her legs might go all the ways up, but you'll find nothin but trouble when you get there." He put on his best tough guy accent, but could only hold it for long before he started to laugh. "Heh heh, so what about you Jae? What do you do?" As soon as he called him Jae though, he knew he shouldn't have. Ken clenched his fists and jaw hoping he didn't loosen something that wasn't ready to be loosened yet.

Ben wandered down the path to the flock of Mareep at the pool, not really thinking about wanting to battle any of them. He knew that his Pokemon were not well matched against this particular type - but besides that, he just wanted to be friendly. Smiling, he reaches a hand down and pets the soft fur of one Pokemon's back. It was still short, so Ben imagined that this flock had just gotten through their annual shedding.

After spending some time with the sheep, Ben walked out onto the pier, gazing down into the water. It seemed like the fishermen here were catching mostly Magikarp, but then again, none of them had very good rods. Smiling a bit, Ben sits down on the edge of the pier, taking off his shoes and cooling his feet in the water.

Dante, never too big of a fan of teleportation at the sudden change in location, brightness and new sound immediately found himself running towards the edge of the docks and throwing up the contents of his stomach, which proved to just be unpleasant because Dante hadn't eaten anything since the previous days morning. When that was done the teen slumped down against the railing wiping his face down and giving the ghost a tired glare. "Stop laughing." He muttered before picking himself up. The ghost pokemon didn't really respond and just continued to stare at him, Dante knew he was laughing though, on the inside. "Ugh, ok whatever. Let's just give 'the angry one' a call really quick while I try to figure out where exactly he is." The angry one part of whatever Azelf had said was pretty easy to decipher, Dante didn't really have that many friends and the only angry one out of them would be Keegan, the only one he would probably go out of his way to visit was also Keegan so there was that to. The gym battle with the normal one though, Dante only could think of two normal gym leaders, and he wasn't even sure if he was right and where they were exactly.

Pulling out his phone he found Keegans number, hit the call button and waited for it to connect. The phone didn't even ring once before going straight to voice-mail. "Forgot to charge your phone? I bet you won't notice for a few days so I am sure this message won't reach you until too late. Anyway, I figured I would come around and visit you. Good luck on your gym battle." Dante hung up and left that last bit in with a bit of a smirk. Now won't that make him look like a creeper? Chuckling out loud to himself he reached into his bag and pulled out a cigarette and lit it while he looked at the various docks that he could travel to. He really had two choices if he was going to narrow it down, Goldenrod had a normal gym leader and if memory served him right so did Pettalburg. Choices choices. Eventually Dante went up and bought the ticket to the one that would be the easiest to travel to from wherever the boat landed.

"Hey! I found you! You thought you could escape that battle with me didn't you?"

An accusing voice sounded behind Dante as he paid for his ticket. Turning around he spotted a kid pointing an accusing finger at ... Kenny? Now that was odd. "Hey brat, leave the twice as tall and a million times stronger than you ghost alone." He muttered heading over to the ghost side. Upon looking at the Dusclops though he was a bit surprised that the Beckon pokemon seemed to know who this kid was.

"But... how... I don't... okay." Kasiya's usual excitement following a Pokemon's evolution wasn't immediately present as she stared down at the catlike Pokemon that had placed herself at the girl's feet. Chasing off the Duskull hadn't taken very long, and as she reached for her PokeDex to find out about the newly-evolved Electric-type, she heard a break in the action. The girl turned her head in time to see Mike whip a Pokeball at the weakened Shuppet. Unsurprisingly, the little ghost was caught without much resistance, and due to Mike's already full team, the Pokeball was whisked away in a small flash of light.

"She didn't eat it, her evolution scared the thing away," the girl answered, swooning ever so slightly as Mike rested his chin on her shoulder. "Thank you," she said, leaning forward and planting a quick kiss on his nose. "And congratulations to you on the cap-TUUUURE!" Kasiya's voice raised several octaves as her head was yanked back, only to snap back a second later and cause her forehead to bash into Mike's. The impact wasn't that hard, but she was certain the poor boy didn't need any more trauma to his skull regardless. "Oh, Mike! I'm so sorry!" she cried, but when she heard the amused chuckle from behind her, she took a step back and whirled around to find herself staring at the glowing red eye of the very same Duskull.

"You again?! I thought you gave up," she scoffed, prompting a glare from the Requiem Pokemon. It looked past her to Mike, where it pointed a tiny, ghostly arm and let out a raspy growl. It then pointed at the spot where the Pokeball containing Mike's newly-caught Shuppet had rested for all of three seconds, and the girl quickly put two and two together. "Oh, that Shuppet was your friend," she said, a sly smirk crossing her face. "I know how to fix that. Zaira!" At once, the Luxio pounced, fangs bared, easily catching Duskull by surprise. It had started to sink into the ground to escape, but the Electric-type's Bite caught it on the shoulder, just between its hooded neck and upper arm. Struggle as it might, it couldn't get away, and the attack was quite damaging, at that.

"Hold it, just like that," Kasiya called out, quickly fishing out an empty Pokeball of her own. She'd groped around for one of the two Great Balls but they currently eluded her, but she figured the red and white sphere would be enough. The Luxio continued to hold her foe, struggling noticeably against the Spark Pokemon's grip as the blonde gave the ball a well-aimed toss. Zaira wasn't letting go, however, backing off only when the airborne Pokeball clocked the Duskull between the eyes and sucked it inside. It fell to the ground, rocking back and forth a lot more violently than the Shuppet's had before it stopped with a satisfying click. Kasiya also sported a full party and she stuck her tongue out and waved as the Pokeball was instantly transported to the safety of Professor Oak's storage system. At least he's not getting a Muk this time, she thought with an impish smirk before looking back to Mike again. "Ghost pals!" she cheered, pumping a fist into the air.

Heh, this guy is something else, Jaeshan thought, finding it hard for his spirits not to be raised as he and Kevin the not-so-stranger made their way back out into the forest. Something about him was so familiar that it was very nearly driving Jae nuts. "Dames, red dresses, long legs, got it," he chuckled, and soon the two were roaring with cacophonous laughter, sending any Pokemon that might have considered investigating the pair running for the hills.

"Me?" he asked, as they'd long since cleared the Chateau and the forest was already starting to thin out. The fact that Kevin had shortened his name only made the familiar feeling grow stronger, and further confirmed in the blonde teen's mind that it was, indeed, his name. Now, if only he could remember the rest of it, he might have grounds to actually find... himself. God, it was all so confusing. "Me," he said again, giving a nonchalant shrug. "I'm nothing." That I know of. "I'm just your regular, run-of-the-mill Pokemon Trainer." With a severe case of crippling amnesia. The boy frowned slightly, finding it to be rather annoying that his inner monologue seemed so eager to take over the conversation. "Yep... just a trainer."
=-=-=-=-=

Now that she really thought about it, her battle with that Jaeshan boy had actually been quite interesting. He'd made a few mistakes and so had she, and she couldn't help but smile at the memory of the boy's shiny Metang getting its bell rung, ironically enough by her Victreebel's Sucker Punch. "It was more like his confidence kept seesawing," Erika said, touching a delicate finger to her chin. "He obviously knew what he was doing, and his Pokemon were quite well-trained. It could have gone either way, though sometimes I still wonder how his sleeping Shelgon survived Vileplume's Solarbeam." She smiled again, wondering if she'd ever get the chance to battle him again. He'd been very well-mannered and polite.

It was definitely odd to see the normally calm gym leader's composure fracture, but at the mention of the fire-happy boy, her complexion paled noticeably and all she managed in response to Sasha's polite yet important warning was a meek nod. If he ever did happen upon her gym and request a battle, perhaps they could hold it outside. Or in the abandoned lot a block down from the Celadon Department Store. Or, perhaps she'd just hand him her Rainbow Badge, no questions asked. It wasn't that she wouldn't willingly accept a challenge from anyone, it was more that she had the safety of the Grass-types that lived inside her gym - and her fellow trainers - to think of. The dark-haired gym leader adjusted her headband and cleared her throat. "Yes, of course," she said, not yet having fully regained her previous level of composure, her eyes following the movements of a young and very cheerful Oddish as it toddled past the two girls, completely oblivious to the matters they were discussing. "I appreciate the, um, warning."

The sun was getting lower in the sky, telling Ben that it was getting later into the afternoon without him having to pull out his PokeGear. He wasn't starting to get hungry quite yet, but he definitely felt like stretching his legs again. Hefting himself up off the pier, he gives a soft sigh and shakes his feet free of water before replacing his socks and shoes, putting his hands into his pockets and wandering further down the pier, watching the water below.

The fishermen he passed were starting to pack up their gear and head home, a signal that perhaps Ben should be doing the same, soon. But not yet.. He had his eyes on one fisherman who seemed to be reelin' 'em in, and doing really well. He started wondering if he'd be up for a battle.. His lips twitched into a smile as he approached, extending his hand. "Hello, sir. I'm Ben, a Pokemon Trainer. Would you by any chance be interested in battling me? I've seen how well you do fishing, and I think it would be a good fight." The man looks up a bit startled, his expression quickly breaking into a grin with a belly laugh.
"You wanna battle me? Alright, but I'll warn you - it won't be so easy!"

Ben grinned in return and nodded, stepping back a few paces on the now empty pier and picking a Pokeball from his belt. "Let's do it! How many Pokemon will you use?" The fisherman looks into his box and pulls out two Pokeballs, nodding back to Ben. "These two, right here." Standing up, he throws his pokeball, the light shining out of it and landing in the water. Ben peered closer. It looked like a Goldeen. He knew just what to do. Grinning, he throws the Pokeball he chose - "Go! Pichu!" The tiny mouse Pokemon appeared before him, standing on the pier and looking out into the water curiously. It couldn't swim. Regardless, Ben tried to cheer him up. "You've got this, Pichu! It'll be easy!" Looking back over his shoulder, Pichu nods his head in a trusting way. If Ben believed in him, then he knew he could do it.

"Huh, Boris looks pissed," Keegan observed, not sure that he'd ever seen the Numel make any sort of expression before now. The little guy had always been so laid-back, but it was sort of exciting to see him getting pumped up. "He didn't like that," he commented, prompting a snicker from the overly self-involved Grovyle, but both trainer and Pokemon knew that it they dared get close to the Numel, it was likely going to rearrange Pan's facial features into something horribly unrecognizable. "Better stick with Energy Ball," the redhead suggested, and Pan nodded, once again sending the glowing green orb spiraling toward toward the dual Fire and Ground-type.

Since the Numel was facing away from her, Sheena hadn't noticed that her Pokemon's normally dopey disposition was gone and had been replaced by a frightful scowl. She frowned a bit as Keegan called for yet another Energy Ball. "Boris! Blast it with your Flame Burst!" the girl nearly screeched, her bubblegum pink ponytails bouncing up and down as she moved. The Numel gave a cry, the hump on his back glowing red-hot as he opened his mouth and spat out what looked to be a small, condensed ball of flames at the oncoming Energy Ball. The two moves collided, creating a loud explosion that filled the area with smoke. "Boris?!" Sheena cried fearfully upon hearing the Numel cry out, though he easily sounded more angry than hurt. "Boris!"

"Flame Burst, huh?" the redhead had mused scratching his head as the Numel rather deftly blasted Pan's Energy Ball out of the sky. Neither he nor the Grovyle flinched from the resulting explosion, though the Numel's cries did cause Pan to take several cautionary steps back. "Hey, what's going on over there?" Keegan called as Boris continued to cry out, but Sheena was too busy screeching the Numel's name to hear him. The smoke from the explosion wasn't helping matters either. "Sheena?" the redhead called out again, now taking a few steps forward, but he stopped as Pan's arm snaked out, motioning for him to stop. Something was happening in the smoke, and whatever it was, Pan didn't like it.

Inside the smoke, Boris' anger had gotten the better of him and he reared up on his hind legs, bellowing loudly. Now no one could see it, but his body was glowing brightly and he was starting to change - in a matter of seconds he'd gone from a relatively small Numel to a rather large Camerupt. He reared up again, slamming his cloven feet down hard on the ground and causing everything to shake so violently that both Sheena and the nimble Pan fell down because of it. Even the less-than sure-footed Keegan had to fight to keep his balance. Boris bellowed loudly once more, his voice significantly deeper than before. Sheena, who'd been watching the smoke cloud with a fearful gaze, took a teensy step forward. "...Boris?"
=====
The tiny girl literally skidded to a halt, stopping only a few inches away from the darkly-dressed figure as her bare feet had served to give her quite a bit of traction. Almost instantly her fight of flight instinct kicked in and she started to back away, green eyes wide with fear, or at least the one that wasn't partially hidden by the white bandage was. She was able to get a good look at the person she'd nearly run into, able to see at a glance that he was as easily startled as she was, but that didn't stop her from continuing to back up a few more steps. "S-sorry," she said, her voice barely above a hushed whisper.

Damien, having been around ghosts and Ghost-type Pokemon all his life wasn't the easiest person on the planet to scare, but when the small figure had appeared from around the corner and nearly run into him, he gasped slightly and jumped back as well. The predawn light didn't give way to much detail, but he could see, at the very least, that the figure was a girl. The sun had started to rise, but he still couldn't see her very well and he quickly got the impression that he'd scared her a lot more than she had scared him. "It's... alright, no harm done," he said slowly, watching as she continued to back away from him. He quickly noticed that her feet were bare, as the rising sun continued to illuminate the area. "Are you, uh, lost?" he asked, not sure if he should just move on and leave her there, or help her. That is, if she even needed or wanted it.

"No, I'm not lost," Miharu answered almost instantly, even if she didn't quite know where she was exactly. She also found her fear to be receding as the sun continued to rise, and she glanced out over the horizon as the dark blue water was slowly being lit up with a golden glow. She could clearly see the older boy now, and it was no surprise that he'd be hard to spot in the dark - he was dressed all in black save for a few white highlights, and even his longish hair was dark. He looked just as startled as she had, at least for a moment or two, and she felt an uneasy shiver as she realized he was trying to get a better look at her. "I'm not lost," she repeated, swallowing hard and resting a hand against the nearby wall for support. "Um. Are you?"

Damien blinked a few times, having not expected for the girl to throw the question back at him. "Actually," he said, carefully removing his glasses so that he could polish the already-perfect lenses, "I am." He could see her quite clearly now as well, and the very first thing he noticed was the bandage wrapped around her head. Her long, green hair was pulled back in a ponytail and she wore a deep pink tank top and a pair of bluejeans that had definitely seen better days. Something about her was familiar, and after a moment of quiet thought, Damien realized she matched Gastly's description of the girl in the infirmary from last night. That would explain the jumpiness, he thought, finding it ironic that he, probably one of the least sociable people on the entire vessel, would be the one to run into the traumatized girl.

'Croconaw can take it,' Jasper thought, his inner monologue sounding arrogant even to him as Falkner gave the order for a Quick Attack. "Brace yourself, and then counter with a Bite!" Croconaw nodded eagerly, despite the fatigue that was slowly gripping her tighter and tighter, and she prepared herself for the hit, eyes narrowed as the bird sped into her. Try as she might, however, Pidgeotto was just too fast and she was just too tired to effectively grant her trainer's wishes. She cried out in pain as she was raked by the flying type's claws from its fly-by attack. It had hurt a lot more than she'd been expecting; had that been a critical hit? Must have. She hardly had time to register the fact that the wooden platform was suddenly rushing up to greet her face as she was unconscious before she even hit the ground.

Jasper could only stare at the water type, too stunned to move right away. Croconaw was down for the count? How did that happen? She had been raring to go just a minute ago, hadn't she? No wait, cue instant replay - as Jasper raised a shaky hand to call the gator back into her Pokeball, he realized that she'd taken a lot more hits than he cared to notice: the opening Aerial Ace, several vicious Fury Attacks... His heart sank. He should have known that the gator couldn't take much more. 'Croconaw, I'm so sorry,' he thought, nearly overwhelmed by a mixture of shame and guilt, but his expert poker face showed no hint of his inner turmoil.

The bandanna-clad boy exhaled slowly to calm himself, wetting his lips with his tongue as he took Ditto's Pokeball in hand. "All right, bud, it's all up to you now," he said, glancing over at Falkner as the oddly-coloured blue Ditto appeared, accented by a small burst of glittering sparkles. The blue blob bobbed up and and down on the spot a few times, grinning over at Falkner and his Pidgeotto with an almost vapid expression. "Transform," the youth called, pointing at the offending bird Pokemon. Ditto gave a cheer and with a quick shimmer, its amorphous body had shifted into what would have been an exact replica of Falkner's Pidgeotto, if only its feathers hadn't been golden in colour rather than reddish and tan. 'Round two, begin,' Jasper thought, grinning over at the gym leader despite the small pangs of guilt he continued to feel because of his oversights with Croconaw.

Hayley was quite focused on her drawings, even if they were just silly little scribbles as now she'd taken all the female Pokemon her team (which, unfortunately for Cynder, was everyone but him) and had doodled them with cute little bows on their heads or tails. Not wanting the Charmeleon to feel left out (though it was more than certain that the fire lizard wouldn't care in the slightest) she quickly sketched him out, grinning to herself as she gave him a bow tie and a dapper hat.

The brunette was in the process of adding a monocle to her posher-by-the-minute Charmeleon when she saw Riza move toward the counter out of the corner of her eye, seemingly finished with her phone call. Driven by an insatiable sense of curiosity, Hayley practically jumped out of her seat, tucking her pencil behind her ear and her sketchbook under her arm as she made her way over towards the dark-haired girl, now close enough to hear her ask if she could get treatment for her Quilava and Snivy.

'Oh, cool, she has a Quilava! And a Snivy!' the somewhat-flaky girl thought excitedly, though it didn't take long for the rest of her brain to catch up to her and she let out a quiet gasp, flipping back to the quick sketch she'd just done of Ivy. "Snivy? Nah, couldn't be," she whispered quietly, carefully scrutinizing her drawing before looking back over at Riza. Pursing her lips, the brunette practically marched up to her new friend, her expression actually halfway-serious for a change. "Excuse me," she said, the concept of indoor voices temporarily lost on her, "but I don't think I heard you correctly. Did you say Snivy?"

Mike scrunched his face at the kiss, more than happy to be on the receiving end of Kasiya's affections. "Why thank yoo-AAAHHHHH!" but apparently they were screaming now. That was fine. Being quiet was boring. Mike continued to indulge his shrieking girlfriend, that was until she decided headbutting him was next on the to do list. It wasn't as much painful as it was surprising, but Mike assumed that with Kasiya's track record it was an accident. Somehow. "It's okay!" he said, rubbing his forehead. Honestly he was more worried she might have been burned by his scar. Turns out, the 'eaten' Duskull had come back for round two, and what a mistake that was. Mike crossed his arms and smirked as Kasiya's Pokemon proceeded to make the ghost its new chew toy before being swiftly captured. Just like his, the Pokeball blinked away. "Ghost pals!" an equally excited Mike cheered, mirroring his girlfriend's gesture. "As fun as that and this was, I'm entirely done with this place, and something tells me you have been that way before we even landed." He wasn't accusing or making fun; not many people would willingly go here.

"But thank you. As always." There was a good chance that without Kasiya's support, he wouldn't have been able to do any of this. "You don't know how much you've helped me these past few days." Mike wrapped his arms around her and squeezed, planting a long, tender kiss on her forehead. "I love you so much." Taking one look back at the altar, he unhooked Nitro's Pokeball and released the Charizard. "What's say we celebrate with some ice cream at Pewter City, hm?" He said with a smile. He did promise, after all.

Kasiya allowed for her excitement to be cut a little short as Mike mentioned how eager he was to get going from this place, and as the blonde looked out and around at all the fog until her gaze came to rest on the lonely-looking Red Orb sitting by itself on the altar. "Oh, you picked up on that," she admitted, feigning embarrassment, as she knew Mike would definitely not be holding it against her that she wasn't exactly comfortable here.

The girl smiled brightly at the thanks, however, and she eagerly returned his embrace, closing her eyes allowing herself yet another mental tirade of I can't believe this is actually happening! "Hey," she said, pulling back from him, her head canted sideways as she gazed at him. "Just who do you think you're talking to, anyway?" She watched him as he sent out Nitro, her mind flooded with dozens upon dozens of memories, and she smiled again. Sometimes, she still had trouble believing everything that she and her friends had gone through over the past few months. Her thoughts also quietly reminded her that she had Shocker back now as well, and she couldn't hold back a half-sigh, half-moan of contentment.

Something brushed up against her leg, and Kasiya looked down to see the Electric-type feline. "Thanks, Zaira," she said, kneeling down to pet the kitten - well, she couldn't really call her a kitten anymore as she'd adopted a much more mature and serious appearance - and the Luxio gave a cry in response, happy to have been able to help deal with that annoying floaty-eye-ghost thing. Kasiya pulled her PokeDex out long enough to let it tell her that the Shinx's new form was actually called Luxio before she returned the Electric-type to her Pokeball, wondering what the redheaded Karrigan would think if she were to find out that Zaira had already evolved. "Oh, Pewter City?" she asked curiously as the two of them got settled upon the powerful Charizard's back, the thought of some delicious ice cream nearly causing her to drool. "Why Pewter?"

Mike cocked his head at Kasiya's question. "To...go to the museum? Didn't we talk about this already?" A wave of legitimate confusion swept over him. There was a very good chance he had the conversation in his head and just assumed it had happened in real life. "If we didn't, then I would like to go and do some research there to help me raise Camerae, if you don't mind." Apparently once ice cream was involved, asking was merely a formality and Kasiya was more than happy to oblige him. "Plus I figure we could train our newer Pokemon there. Maybe even take another trip through Mt. Moon? Eh? Eh?" he nudged her teasingly with his elbow, knowing full well she had no fondness for that place.

Recalling his Torkoal (because he totally didn't forget him either), Mike made sure his precious cargo was holding on tight before ordering Nitro to take to the skies. He looked back once the Charizard had taken flight, all too happy to see Mt. Pyre shrink from view.

......

Kanto always had this strange, monochrome look to it. From the air, even with a passing familiarity of the region, it was very easy to tell where you were. "They don't seem to stray to far from the theme." Mike said as they flew over Cerulean City. He was speaking mostly to himself, as Kasiya had once again fallen asleep. To her credit, she managed a few minutes of conversation, which was mostly indulging Mike as he talked about fossil Pokemon, before passing out. Too much comfort. And once again, Mike found it nothing short of adorable. Nitro assumed this as well, and made sure that his landing was as smooth as it could be and touching down right beside the center. With some extra help from his Pokemon, Mike slid to the ground, piggybacking Kasiya into the Pokemon Center. Nitro even recalled himself by pressing his nose against the ball on Mike's strap. "Hey." he hummed, gently shaking his back as the doors opened before him. "We're here, love." He snuck in one more kiss as the girl stirred, looking up at her with absolute adoration in his eyes.

Riza was somewhat lost in her own thoughts as she waited for Eris and Selena to be returned to her, wondering what new outfit Crenu would decide upon before he made his way here. A part of her definitely wished she was there with him so she could help pick things out for him, and a devilish little smile crossed her lips as she imagined the sour look on his face as she forced him to model for her.

She'd also started to wonder if perhaps she should pick herself up a new outfit and if they had any good clothing stores here in Pewter when she noticed Hayley heading towards her, a sense of purpose in her step. The raven haired girl flinched as the girl's loud voice echoed through the whole pokecenter, causing everyone else to stop what they were doing and look at them. "Yes I said Snivy," she snapped, her voice strangely quiet in comparison. "Did I stutter? Keep your voice down, everyone is staring at us," she added, turning around and taking back her two poke balls from the nurse.

"Uh. Sorry. But yes, I have a Snivy, why do you ask?" she said, eyeing the sketchbook in the girl's arm. There wouldn't be time for Hayley to answer as the doors to the pokecenter whooshed open, and a boy entered, a girl being carried on his back. A familiar girl, at that, her blonde hair and green outfit being the first things Riza noticed about her. "Oh no, are you kidding me?" she mumbled, grabbing Hayley by the shoulders and spinning her around so that she could get a good look at the boy and the girl as they entered while at the same time ducking behind the brunette. "She didn't see me, did she?" she squeaked, having not forgotten her rather harsh treatment of Kasiya the last time they'd spoken.

"Oh, yay! You don't know how happy that makes me!" Autumn replied happily, clapping her hands. "How many Pokemon? Well, I only have three, and one of them is a baby that I only started raising the other day."

"That's just fine with me," Katie replied, nodding. "I have a little one too, and she needs all the experience she can get, as well. We can do three on three if you want, starting with the baby Pokemon!"

"All right, let's do it!" Autumn cheered. Not surprisingly, there was a battlefield set out back behind the cafe and the two girls positioned themselves at opposite ends. In no time at all however the other waitresses and customers had filed outside and were sitting on the row of short bleachers to watch.

'Oh great, an audience, just what I need,' Katie thought, frowning a little as she unhooked Darla's poke ball. The angry little Solosis appeared in a flash, already looking around quickly to try and spot her foe and she gave an unhappy cry when she saw there wasn't one yet. "Geez, Darla, wait a minute, would you?" Katie mumbled.

There was a mixed murmur from the crowd at the sight of the psychic-type as no one seemed to know just what it was. "Ooh, I've never seen that Pokemon before," Autumn commented as well. "It's cute! But now, here comes my Pokemon! Go, Carolyn!" The milk maid's poke ball burst open to reveal a tiny and cute pink Pokemon with round lips and a head of blonde hair. She did a little dance and blew kisses to everyone around her.

"Oh, that's..." Katie trailed off, feeling like she should know the Pokemon but it's name was currently escaping her. That's what her pokedex was for however and she quickly pulled the device out to check up on it. "Smoochum," she said, nodding. "The Kiss Pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Jynx. It tests everything by touching with its lips, which remember what it likes and dislikes." So it was a battle between two young psychic-types then!

Something is definitely wrong here, Keegan muttered as Pan staggered to his feet, the shaking ground having caused him plenty more discomfort than he'd liked. "That felt like a Magnitude, but not a very strong one," the redhead went on, having had plenty experience with the move as it was one of his Golem's favourites to use. "Sheena? Are you okay back there?" he called again, genuinely starting to worry for the irritating pink-haired girl.

"Yeah, I'm okay!" Sheena called back, positively elated when she heard the worry in the surly redhead's voice. She'd pulled herself to her feet, wincing slightly at the small scrape she'd received on her knee from the fall and she peered into the smoke as it started to dissipate. The pink-haired girl let out a sharp cry when she saw the more-than six-foot Camerupt standing in Boris' place, his bloodshot eyes wild with a mixture of fright and fury. "Boris?" she asked tentatively. "Is that you?"

"Holy s**t," was Keegan's reply when he too got a good look at the newly-evolved Eruption Pokemon. "I totally didn't see that coming."

"Groo," Pan replied, easily as shocked as Sheena and his trainer were.

"Boris is a Camerupt now," the redhead shouted, removing his PokeDex from his jeans pocket. "Should we continue the battle, or-"

He was cut off as Boris loosed a bellowing roar and stomped the ground with his massive, cloven feet. The rocky pillars on his back had both started to glow red-hot, like his hump had when he was still a Numel, and with another mighty roar, erupted with a shower of scarlet flames that seemed to cover the entire battlefield. The attack itself would have been pretty impressive had the two humans not ruined it by running around wildly, both screaming and flailing their arms as they tried their best not to get completely scorched by Boris' powerful Lava Plume.

Miharu watched as the boy cleaned his glasses, inching back even further as his attention was slightly diverted. He admitted to being lost, which didn't help to quell her apprehension of him. It also didn't help that she wasn't exactly feeling threatened by him, either, but that had also been the case with Leroy. The girl shivered; even thinking his name was enough to send quivers of fear throughout her entire body. She noticed that he seemed to be studying her, and she frowned and stared at the floor. She must have looked something awful, which was saying something considering that she generally didn't put too much thought into her appearance to begin with. "Where... are you trying to go?" she asked quietly, her voice a little difficult to hear over the hum of the ship and the crashing of the waves.

For some reason, Damien the girl reminded of a very shy and timid Chimecho he'd befriended back at Mount Pyre. It had taken him weeks to coax the nervous Wind Chime Pokemon out of hiding long enough to even get a guess as to what it was, and even longer than that to prove to it that he only wanted to be its friend. People and Pokemon weren't so different, he knew, but he hoped that it wouldn't take that long for the girl to be able to trust again. He stopped himself right there - why did he even care? Her problems were her own. "There's an arena of sorts somewhere around here," he answered, once again adopting an aloof demeanor. "I wanted to get in some training before we make land in Castelia City." Oh, very smooth, he thought, frowning noticeably the moment the words left his lips; she has no Pokemon left and all you can talk about is how eager you are to go train yours. a*****e.

Jasper wasn't the only one surprised to see Croconaw go down, as to Falkner, she'd looked quite strong and energetic. Pidgeotto must have scored a critical hit, the Gym Leader thought, lightly stroking his chin as his challenger recalled the fallen Water-type. Regardless, the gator had put up a very good fight and Falkner was impressed, now looking on curiously as Jasper sent out his second and final Pokemon for the match.

"...What." was all the blue-haired trainer could manage as the blue Ditto appeared before him. Truthfully, Falkner had never faced one of these before and he raised an eyebrow, not entirely sure what to expect even as the Transform Pokemon morphed into a perfect copy of his prized Pidgeotto - no, scratch that, its feathers were shiny and golden. But then again, weren't Ditto supposed to be pink? "Imitating us will get you nowhere," he stated bluntly, pointing at the doppelgänger. "Pidgeotto, use Steel Wing." The real Pidgeotto gave a shriek, and with a single flap it was speeding towards Ditto, with wings glowing with a silver, steely hue as it prepared to show this copycat who was boss.

The battle had made little to no progress after five minutes of fighting. Neither the Krabby or Metapod could get the edge on the other. Mateus couldn't land a string shot to try and slow the water type down as it zoomed around, and Krabby couldn't do a lot of damage with Vice grip. Both were getting a little tired though, the Krabby more so then Mateus since all she had to do was sit there and use harden and stringshot.

Uggh, what do I do? We'll never catch it at this rate. I can wear it down, but what's to stop it from running away if it feels too tired to battle anymore. All it needs to do is get to the water and poof it's gone. Then all their hard work would be for nothing. I've gotta take a come up with a plan.

The Krabby wouldn't give him time to think though, it charge in again sending a dust cloud into the air with its speed. It seemed to be going straight for Mateus's face. "Mateus use string shot point blank on the ground!." The bug type did so creating a large pool of stick string just as the water type drew near. As soon as its quick moving feet hit the string shot it grew entangled and tripped down face first.

"Now use tackle while he's down! With a cry of victory Mateus used stingshot to propel itself forward and deliver a punishing blow to the Krabby, that not only dealt damage, but entangled it further. With another tackle the water type looked like a strange new bug type it was so covered with webbing.

With a happy whoop he pulled out a pokeball and tossed it. It clanked against the Krabby and sucked it in. It wriggled for a moment, then the sound went off announcing he had captured the Krabby. "Alright! Way to go Mateus you were amazing!" The metapod preened for a moment as if to say, "Of course I am before letting off a bright glow.
