((That would have been interesting...owe well.))
((Short due to mild headache.))Raven's gaze fell upon the Joltik, and without hesitation fell to the balls hanging upon his belt. He recognized that look, it was one his own eyes often held. The desire for strength, and the unspoken challenge to those whom met that gaze.
The insect was heavily scarred...something that reminded him closely of one among his own. Yes, there was one with him he still planned to train further...this would be an excellent time to continue. "Fable, stand ready!" The boy called, grasping the first ball upon his belt and threw it forward.
Stopping right before striking the ground, the ball released with a faint sound, a powerful burst of light launching from within the capsule. A moment later a Charmander formed, body heavily scarred by the many battles he had fought... unfortunately with each of those scars had come a loss; but he would lose no more.
Tail lashing, Fable gave a warning hiss at his opponent. Should the Joltik choose to attack, he wouldn't hold back.
Before the battle could begin however, Raven stepped forward. Pulling a loose thread free from his cloak, the boy tied it around the fang he'd received earlier and draped it around Fable's neck. He'd heard before that such items could cause special effects in Pokemon.
Starter Pokemon: Charmander [M] Name & Level: Fable, Lv 3 [Temperament] Quiet Bio: Raven first met Fable during his time living on the streets, finding the fire-tailed reptile in one of hundreds of alleys he'd been in. Battered, beaten, and bloodied, it was clear the Charmander had seen it's fair share of battles...and lost every single one. He bit Raven only five seconds after their initial encounter. Fable had lost all trust in humanity. Raven was never fully aware of the details, but the Charmander's former trainer had been abusive. He'd placed him in battles with impossible odds, expecting him to combat and defeat opponent after opponent with little to no rest...and when he lost, it was his trainer whom would personally add to the reptiles injuries. Finally tired of wasting his time on "some worthless newt" his trainer had abandoned him in the dirtiest alleyway he could find and just left him there. The boy hadn't even given him a name...at least not one he cared to repeat.
For days after that first encounter Raven returned to the alley, usually meeting with the same result; yet still he kept coming, sometimes he even brought food. It was generally scraps most likely out of the garbage, but it was food none the less. One day the Charmander finally asked why the child kept returning...not with words of course, but with his eyes. The curiosity at the boy's actions were clear in the reptiles gaze. Raven had said he saw a fire in Fables eyes that day when they first met, the desire to become truly powerful. More time passed after that, but the only thing which mattered after that point was the outcome. Even without a Pokeball the Charmander decided to follow the boy from that day forward, even earning the name Fable in the process. Raven would speak of spending the reward money on new clothes and a bath, but what was consistently leave out was the purchase of a single Pokeball. There was no need. Even without it, Fable would follow his trainer to the depths of hell and back. The Vullaby ruffled her dark feathers slightly as she hopped atop the bones. Narrowing her eyes further on the child and his Pokemon, the intensity of her stare seemed almost tangible. It was a look which dared the them to even try to flee, as if the very thought were a futile effort. Yes, this was a gaze which made all notions of escape impossible...even painful....this was Mean Look; and if it succeeded, escape would become truly impossible.

Ryuu's attempt at Biting his opponent went badly. The Diglett was really getting on his nerves, popping up and down through all the holes. He wished he could just fill up the holes, considering all the sand but there was so many and he didn't have enough time. Instead he just had to keep waiting and bide his time, despite the fact that this battle seemed never-ending. Just had to keep avoiding the attacks and wait for the next chance to strike. Then to strike with all the strength he could muster. With that decided, the rage and frustration faded as he went on the defensive.

Snover started to feel as if it were being stared down apon. Six soon realized that the feathered Vullaby, which now has a skull for shorts, was using Mean Look. Hmmm.....So it has Mean Look. Well I see no point in using it seeing as there's no way we can escape to begin with. Then again, it probably does want revenge for me startling it. "Snover, use Leer and see how it feels being stared down at." Six said with an intention of lowering the Vullaby's defenses.
Snover used Leer from the spot he was at, and stared at the Vullaby. It seemed as if the two pokemon were having a staring contest. Six thought if he lowered the Vullaby's defense, Snover's attack my do more damage than usual. First things first though, try to evade and lower the Vullaby's defenses and attack at the right moment.

( 8 - 4 ) + ( 9 - 7 ) = 6 / 2 = 3 + 2 = 5DMG Impromptu HP: 3 The Growlithe yipped as he was hit, he wasn't expecting that from ball! "> Ball, you're mean! <" He rubbed his chest, where he had been hit. "> You...you're just like Squeaky! <" squeaky was mean, mean! "> N-no! Go away, bad ball! <"
The Growlithe closed his eyes, a growl forming in his throat as his mouth opened up. He let out a loud Roar, one that seemed better suited a creature bigger than him, right at the Natu. This made the scary Kabuto thing go away, so...the Natu should go away too!

Jasmine and Claudandas had their eyes sset on the Skarmory, Lindbergh scowled... looking to the Dwebble... maybe she couldn't get under that shell... but for now... her tail flexed.
The poison could do it's work, instead, she had a plan... if the Dwebble wanted to escape, she'd make it harder, her tail swirling round and round in circles, as she signalled the rocks and ground around, a shifting rumble as she summoned the stones, grinning wildly. [You wanna leave, huh?]
[Try getting past these!] She set her trap, the rocks slamming down ina circle around them, she'd released her Stealth Rock, but let the Dwebble see she set it away from them, he could leave, but he'd be scuttling right towards her layout!

Appearing in one of his holes some distance off, Jiro narrowed his gaze upon Ryuu. Yet somehow he still appeared rather calm. This Larvitar was a bit of a tougher opponent then he'd thought him to be...no wonder Taro had problems. Taro, famed across the Digilett world for battling 100 opponents without pause! They were all Diglett of course, but still!
Braining working hard to formulate his next plan of attack, Jiro noticed a large hunk of rock which had been freed from the earth by his earlier attack. Yes, that would do....In honor of Taro. Leaning over, the Diglett picked up the piece of rock with his mouth and charged forward. He was planning to strike down the Larvitar with Scratch!

((You still need to roll, buuuut I'm gonna post anyway because I'm gonna be gone for several hours after this.))
Oddly, even as the Snover began his stare, the Vullaby finished her's. Her Mean Look had already succeeded...it would be a subconscious thought, but they wouldn't even be able to consider running away now. Now even if their very lives depended on it.
Her feathers ruffled slightly as she looked into the Snover's eyes. That look was creepy...like...stalker creepy. Best she bring his attention elsewhere. Hop-skipping about the bone pile, the Vullaby began crushing the skulls of unknown Pokemon beneath her feet, producing a sickening crunch.
It was only a moment later something occurred to her however...did Snover even have skulls? They were trees right? Did it even have bones? Looking around herself sharply, the bird searched for something a tad more appropriate for her goals; and only a few feet away she spotted it.
Leaping off her skulls, the Vullaby landed amidst a number of large twigs. Stomping down forcefully, she began to snap the twigs beneath her feet; producing an audible SNAP in the process.

Ryuu waited watching at the Diglett came towards him with the rock. Just as the pokemon got close, he dodged to the left and successfully managed to avoid the oncoming attack! Eyes narrowed in concentration, he summoned some of his remaining strength preparing to charge. Once he started moving forward, he growled once but his gaze was locked on his opponent. It was time to strike with another Bite attack and try to finish this battle!

Snover figured that the Vullaby would be disturbed by the stare he was giving t. >It?......Is it a boy or a girl? Well seeing as how it freaked out when we saw it, im guessing its a girl since it put on some kind of bone in such a hurry. Oh well time to get back to business< Then the Vullbay started scanning the area around her until she ruffled her feathers and jumped onto a pile of large twigs. Upon landing, Snover heard a clear crisp SNAP. Snover gulped, but maintained his ground.
"Snover, get a little closer and use Powder Snow!" Snover did as he was instructed. He ran up to the the Vullaby, thrusted his arm forward as if throwing a punch, and used Powder Snow. Right then and there, the battle began.

As he had so many times that battle, Jiro slipped beneath the sand covered earth, appearing moments later in a position around Ryuu. His defensive strategy never faltered against the Larvitar, the Diglett increasing the speed of his appearance and disappearance in an attempt to frustrate and confuse his opponent. So far it seemed to be working rather well; the dirt eater was getting mad, and because of that he was getting sloppy.

((Sorry it took me so long to post this one simple phrase, but this is supposed to be your defense. That first 2 you rolled qualified as your defense on turn one, Leer was then on your attack, now it's your defense.))
((What you're doing now is known as a Counter-Attack...and frankly, you aren't ready for it yet. You need a better grasp of the basics before attempting such a move; as the consequences can prove fatal.))
