@16..Trap Confession:

I know someone in a similar situation. Kind of Transgendered? He was born a boy, but is undergoing hormone therapy/dressing/etc like a girl. He still likes girls, but he doesn't want to really be male. I don't know if he plans on ever getting a sex change. He says it's just what he's most comfortable with.
You could probably find a support group or something. You'd be surprised.

Good luck, whoever you are.

also, yeah, best to start when you're young, if that's how you feel. This guy I know is a pretty fugly chick. XD. He's cool, though. XD. PM me if you need anything. Straight to me, or anonymously to Scrumptaints, if you ever need to talk. I wont say anything. heart

168 - I was torn on how to respond to this. It's my firm belief that you chose your gender before you were born, just like every other obstacle you face in your life, so you could feel empowered when you overcame them. Now, I don't know what that means to you - maybe you chose to be a male just so you could know through the experience of changing genders that you have the power to transcend absolutely anything you don't like about yourself, even things you have been taught were predetermined. Then again, maybe you're uncomfortable with the person you are on the inside; changing who you are on the outside won't make that go away, it'll just distract you from it for a while. I don't know you, so I don't know what's going on in your head and I don't presume to. I do know, however, that people generally don't spend enough time tracing their own motives back to the source, and that can lead to poorly-thought-out decisions and unrealistic expectations that open the door for disappointment.

Close your eyes and visualize yourself in a moment of impeccable bliss. The most enjoyable thing you could ever be doing in the happiest and most beautiful place you could ever imagine. In that moment, in your highest, most peaceful thought, which gender are you? Listen only to that. Don't let anyone make the decision for you, not your parents who wouldn't understand, not the people that would stack you against their predetermined standard of beauty. Don't let the fear of being rejected by others stop you from accepting yourself in any instance. It's your life and your body, and anyone who would judge you for what you want to do with it probably isn't worth appeasing.

@LPS, Uhh...so...

You do realize that none of that makes any sense and that's completely ridiculous, right?

@168, good for you!

Here is what, in my opinion, doesn't make any sense and is completely ridiculous:

-sinking yourself tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debts before you've even gotten a guaranteed means of paying them back
-spending roughly 40 hours of your week, 60 years of your life, doing something you really don't want to be doing
-mistrusting your own feelings and instead choosing to believe something you read in a book, or saw on the TV, or were told by someone you respect (or even someone you don't know)
-denying yourself some of the best things in life because you're afraid to die
-trusting an establishment that is so commonly known to be liars and frauds that it's widely satirized with the government of your country

Not saying you specifically do any of these things because we don't really know each other, I'm just saying that most people would consider these things pretty mundane. What you see as preposterous is relative to what you see as normal. I think it's completely normal to do whatever makes you happy, whenever you want to, and I would encourage anyone to do it and never to let anyone make them feel ashamed of it.

Psychics are bull.
They describe very broad events/topics that apply to everyone.

My psychic powers tell me that you're a toolbox!

I think what she meant that didn't make sense was that as a sperm, you could choose whether or not you were X and Y. Or as an egg. Either way, if you were being spiritual, you can't really pick which sperm gets to the egg first as in that's a whole different entity other that whatever chromosome you had.

First of all, I really hope you didn't misunderstand. I have NO PROBLEM with people that want to do what they want to do. Yes, everyone has their choices, and they are more than entitled to act upon them. What I thought was completely ridiculous was "It's my firm belief that you chose your gender before you were born." You're allowed to have your own beliefs, but just reading that...well.

-I have yet to take out any student loans. I don't need them. I get grants for being poor and having little to no income.
-I actually enjoy college, mainly for the fact that I know that, in order to obtain my dream career, I need to work for it.
-I have my own feelings about things, but I will accept when I am wrong, or when I simply don't know things. I do not know everything about the world, and I would never say I do. I enjoy learning, even if the information is coming from the 'man.' Just because someone tells me something doesn't mean I drink it down without a second thought. I'm not a tool.
-Goes back to what I said before: I'm getting an education so I can do what I want to do with my life; to do what makes me happy so I'll die happy.
-I don't understand what the government has to do with anything.

Now, I'm sorry if that came out angrily. I felt like writing a novel, like yourself. Clearly I like arguing. And I know that you weren't saying them specifically to me. I was just taking them personally and replying with my appropriate answers.

Also, I'm sorry that you think that an education is a waste of time. :/

To be relevant, I think it is utterly ridiculous that you choose your gender. Before formation.
