[Eyes glazed Moonpaw hardly felt the comfort in Thunderflight's motion.
She flicked the tail away briskly, not seeing the intention behind it.
Huffing as she got up, she winced.
She hadn't slept and had been just sitting there all night, staring blankly at the ground.
Her bloodshot eyes met those of Thundeflight's a she gave a hysterical laugh sob which ended with her knees giving way.
Falling into Thunderflight's soft pelt, Moonpaw would've broken down right there but her pride kept her from doing it.
She washed her pelt in an eerie silence.
She finally looked up at Thunderflight with a steely glint in her eyes.]
"Starpelt is dead." she said blatantly.
[She knew if she'd said it any other way she'd would've broken down completely revealing the broken kit she was hiding beneath the steely calm.
Her blue eyes revealed nothing and she closed off her mind with a menacing wall of composure and calm.]

[I stared at Moonpaw, shock hitting me square in the chest. As I looked at Moonpaw, I saw her willpower fading, her shock and despair still fresh. I opened my mouth, but I couldn't speak. I swallowed, and simply watched Moonpaw. My mind whirled. What did Moonpaw do?
What was the only thing she would have done?
After a long pause, I realized what had happened.
She had buried Starpelt on her own.
Understanding swept across my face. I thought of something I should say.
But sometimes, there is no need for words.
I closed my eyes and leaned forward, resting my forhead on hers. I opened my eyes, staring into her beautiful eyes. I had a sad yet determined look.
She may be medicine cat, but that didn't mean she was alone. I knew that at the moment, words would break her last ounce of strength. But I stared with all my might, trying to tell her that I was by her side.
She would never be alone. Ever.
Never again.]

"I see. And you dig the tunnels all by yourself?"
[Riverfang snorted, and stalked off towards the center of the camp, nearing the Medicine Cat den, he overheard Moonpaw. Oh, you poor cat... He poked his head in, and whispered softly to Thunderflight]
"How's she doing?" Raising his voice, he looked Moonpaw in the eyes, "Moonpaw, I just wanted you to know that you have the whole Clan with you, especially Thunderflight and I, and we'll be here if you need us."
[He ducked his head, a little embarrassed]

[Moonpaw stared up at both cats a hailstorm of emotion hidden under their blue depths.
Her eyes locked first with Thunderflight's and she blinked.
The same happened with Riverfang.]
"Thank you both of you. You honestly don't know how much your words mean." she mewed hoarsely wobbling as she stood.
"Come, let us all tell the news of Starpelt's death. I can't do it alone." she meowed, voice thick with emotion.
No, Moonpaw.No now, not when you've held your compsure for so long. she warned herself.
[Shakily entering the birghtness of day, she squinted her eyes.]
What a beautiful day.. It's almost like an insult. she thought furiously slashing at the air as she jumped high to get a good stretch.
[Landing with her graceful composure still in tact, Moonpaw gazed around camp.
She felt as if a huge yawning pit hadopened up in front of her.]
Great Starclan. How am I ever going to tell Silverstar? she thought, feeling wretched all over again.
[She felt a horribly throbbing headache coming on.
As she looked up, she caught a glimpse of her support system and smiled gently.]
With trustworthy, sweet Thunderflight and reliable, kind Riverfang, I know we can do it. she thought blinking back another sweep of emotion.

@Sumomo: Would Moonpaw be making it to the med. cat meeting? I wasn't sure whether or not. . . :c))
[Silverstar nodded, then paced a small circle. She swished her tail before speaking.]
"Er, Worm, it is fine for you to dig tunnels, but I will warn you that the oter Clans are much more hostile about their territory than StormClan. We will leave you and your. . .tunneling in peace, just stay off our territory and do not steal prey. And do not show up in our camp again, as I cannot guarantee how my warriors will act. Some are very territorial, some are friendlier. I don't want them hurting you for no reason, yet we must defend our territory," Silverstar meowed, her voice hard with suspicion.
[Her green eyes analyzed the hairless tom. Truthfully, he looked like a worm. She nodded to him, dismissing him. Silverstar turned, her silver fur swishing in the wind. She let her gaze flit over the camp, then caught sight of Moonpaw, Thunderflight, and Riverfang huddled together. Her eyes narrowed in concern and curiosity. She padded over slowly, cocking her head.]
"Moonpaw? Thunderflight? Riverfang? Is there something I should know about going on?" Silverstar asked, her emerald gaze resting on each cat in their turn. _________________________________________

Worm nodded. "Kay." he unsheathed his claws, revealing that they were reinforced with dogs' teeth, and suddenly he was a blur as he dug a tunnel. In seconds he'd vanished, his exit hole being the only sign he'd ever been there... well, that and the smell coming from the bush he'd "deposited" behind.

[I watched Moonpaw silently, knowing she still hadn't done what she needed to. She was holding all that emotion...she needed to cry.
But it seemed she still wanted to speak before anything like that happened.
I glanced up at Silverstar, who had approached. I looked back at Moonpaw, nodding.
Now's your chance, Moonpaw...Silverstar's here, and waiting...
