Eggness NeoFlux64 Tatsuman Eggness NeoFlux64 Wow they should really make a thread about clones in the smash series. This is getting ridiculous. No, Tatsuman and his buddies need to pull their heads out of their asses. I don't know why they're in such denial about the clones.
No reason to get personal.
Damn, dude. They just aren't clones. Take any Melee clone, even Luigi (who I don't consider a clone, but whatever) and they just aren't that similar.
They have maybe 2-4 moves in common, and they don't even work the same.
But if all you're going to do is curse and insult me,
while not backing up anything you say, nor countering my arguments, we can just drop it right here.
This isn't a school yard.
I have to agree with you on that. Saying something without having ANYTHING to back it up is just like saying a man robbed the bank then he escapes, then the money is in your hands, and simply saying "That man did it" isn't going to help you. Okay then why does fox have to have the same special moves as Fox and Falco? Why couldn't it be like Mario, and Bowser, or Link, and Ganondorf. They're from the same game, but are completely different characters. Ness, and Lucas are damn near identical. The only special move that is different is PK Ice, and it does pretty much the same thing. Wolf's moves might be a little different looking, and maybe their effects are slightly tweaked, but they're still the same moves at heart. Dude I am not going to argue about a dumb little thing. So there clones, or perhaps not, who cares? Whats important is the fact that this game will be fun, clones or not. Just wait till the game comes and have fun with it.

For some real clone action, go and get yourself an Action Replay, and use it to enable the Move Swap in Melee. Youll get your clones there! Or just watch this video...

Akuyoko So you'd rather they just take out clones completely? 29 characters or 35? I... I'd opt for the 35 even if they are clones. Which they aren't.... sorry, I just had to say thatYES! But I'd really prefer that the spent the time wasted on making these clones would have been better spent. I'd rather have 35, 34, or even just 30 unique characters. And I'm not just hating on Sakurai. He's awesome for making such a great game, but with the clones it's just like "wtf Sakurai?" Ok... I completely disagree... As far as I am concerned, there are enough other features that a little extra time coming from making a few less 'clones' wouldn't make anything amazing. But you would REALLY rather only have 29 characters and no clones? O.o Weird, do clones really subtract from the game THAT MUCH? I mean, it's the same thing, basically, with these extra six characters...

Falco's specials are pretty much clone moves with tweaks, I'll give you that. Their standard set is COMPLETELY different.
Wolf doesn't even share the specials.

You haven't watched any gameplay videos with Ness or Lucas in them if you think that. *Bust through a door Cosmo Kramer style* Who said Wolf?!

I friggin' hope that Action Replay doesn't work on the Wii. That will ruin Brawl online play, just like it did for Metroid Hunters and Mario Kart DS.

No, they aren't clones anymore. Now they're "edits" so that people can justify playing as them. God forbid you use a clone character.
But I agree. We shouldn't even have "edits" with the game being delayed twice (Iwata even said that it was to be a launch title when the console was still the Revolution... Hah!), so that's why I'm a bit upset.
And you all need to stop gang-banging anyone that differs from your opinion. Stay civilized, Jesus. Some of you are being real bastards.
