"I'm Jirou Sato. Or Sato Jirou if you put it in the traditional ordering for Japanese names, but either's fine," Takeshi answered. "Nice to meet you, Agnese. Sure you're not gonna fall again on the way there?"

Haru commented, amused.

Haru replied dryly.

Paul jumped suddenly as the Athena chimed in with a cheery female voice, "Correction, you spoke to Tartarus. None of Daedalus' bodies were present at the transaction."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 04, 2008 4:40 pm

"Oh," Paul responded, partially surprised that he had forgotten so quickly. "Well, Siber, did you hear my conversation with Tartarus?" Paul glanced over at Takeshi. Whatever he was finding out, Paul wanted to know too. He'd have to talk to Takeshi again. A shame; Paul still didn't much like him. He was much too much of... well, a criminal. "Say, Athena," Paul added. "I need three things. Transportation, a shooting range, and some spare 5.56mm NATO ammo. Can I get any of that around here?"

Athena listed off several reliable sources of the latter two and asked what form of transportation he desired.

"Actually, I probably will fall over," Agnese sighed.

<(Japanese? Is he who I think he is? Ask him if he is who I think he is)>

How the heck was she supposed to know if he was who Ana thought he was if Agnese didn't know who it was Ana thought he was? agnese's head hurt just thinking about that so she sighed and started digging through her purse.

"Here, this is my card," She said, handing it to the man. "Don't let the name fool ya, we aren't the kind of lawyers who actually eat people." She took in a breath before releasing it in a hesitant manner. "Listen, there's someone I know, who knows someone you know, but she doesn't know if it's the person she thinks she knows, and since this is a crowded street, why don't you come back to my office with me? That way we don't seem absolutely crazy in a few seconds?"

Samuel wandered down an empty street, a frown embedded deeply in his brow.

<(sigh) Gurul, you don't need one, nor do I expect the need for one right now, unless we start messing with people way out of our league. Magitech is a tool that can so easily become a crutch it isn't funny.>

<...>

<...Right.> Gurul had calmed down. Samuel's face smoothed out a little.

Oh, look, someone new. Wonder who it is...
Anyways, unless we find some way to shield ourselves during battles where we are either out of our league or have no idea what is going on, we need to acquire a passive defense of some sort. Even a third eye amplifier might work. Responding before someone does something is fun. Any ideas?>

... and that about sums it all up.>

Sanity Generals Warning: Do not read this if you value you sanity. Oh wait, you just did. Owned.

Hi guys. I'll try to be in more frequently. My creativity needs a workout, and this works well. I'm also running out of things to do with my spare time that don't involve creating things, and, as I said before, RPing is good creative workout, especially since it also allows me to get some of those polluting emotions out too. razz

So, Venom, I thinks we will need to do a few few volleys to discuss character role and what comes next. IE: Story stuffs.

Peace to all the regs, Welcome to the new peoples. If you don't know me, you will soon. smile I do wish I was able to wall like this all the time, but I don't have quite enough controllable elements in this RP to do that. Be glad though. When I have too much control, things move way too fast. Patience is lacking here. That is why I don't run RPs. Normally.

BTW, Siber, that was not a wall of text. I mean, seriously. It wansn't even a screenlength, and it had semi-decent formatting. I think. It was kinda square, rather than rectangular, so... yeah.

Also, Venom, update the profiles so I can see the new peoples or I kill and destroy things... Wait... I was going to do that anyways... Hunh. Just do it man.

So, lets all have fun. Things are starting to move, I was noticing, which is good. Crazy fun for all. Now that is RotCabal. Peace, Devath. ))

((Profiles go up when the remaining two people are arrived. So nyeah.))

Takeshi smiled. "Sure, that sounds fine," he agreed, taking her card. He glanced at it, giving a look for himself and Haru.

he asked.

"Well, I'd like something I could drive myself so that if anything goes wrong I can just get myself out of there," he responded. He glanced over at Takeshi. It appeared he was accepting a card from the girl now, and Paul wanted a look. Then again, coming up from behind to say hello never was a good idea, presuming Takeshi hadn't noticed his magical signature already. Paul hadn't been making any efforts to hide it. By his logic, the people he needed to hide it from were too powerful to take any notice of any sort of jamming or disguise he could put over it, and so he might as well remain visible to his allies.

Either way, though, it looked like Takeshi was getting ready to go somewhere, so Paul came up behind him. Unsure as to how Takeshi was taking this, he put a hand on Takeshi's right shoulder first, then leaned over and whispered to him, "What've you got on her?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 11:39 am

"Not now," Takeshi hissed. "I'll deal with this alone, just cover my back. Move before you get her nervous."

Party steamers, beer, laughing, joy, gifts for Sato

<(Who on earth is that?!)> Ana yelled in Agnese's head.

Agnese had missed the approach of the other man thanks to the happy vision she got, and beeing snapped out of it by a screaming woman was not very nice.

"You're getting exactly what you want for your birthday," Agnese said to Takeshi, a little wary of the new man. She glanced down at her watch before letting out a small curse. "Here, you are officially my temporary assistant until such a time as I'm done!"

Agnese handed over the food to her 'new assistant' without even waiting for him to respond and started walking back to the office.

Paul nodded slightly, patting Takeshi on the shoulder. "Keep me posted, and if you need anything shout," he whispered. Then, more loudly, he spoke to Agnese. "Sorry to bother you. Landlord, he's a bit overdue on the rent and he hasn't mowed his portion of the lawn in weeks," Paul lied quickly. "Remember, you've got three days," he added cheerily, with a jaunt little wave. Thank goodness for FBI training. Admittedly, he had not been through it; rather, he had participated as a 'professional criminal'. Covering up tracks was one of the things he had picked up, and so he fully expected his little lie to be absolutely undetectable. Admittedly it might not be exactly the reputation Takeshi would want to build up with her, but... too late now, he supposed.

"So Athena... a car I can get? A taxi that wouldn't be too hard to commander if things go wrong?" Paul muttered, walking over towards Joe.

((Hmm, random "long" absence. Internet vanishes in the mountains. My apologies for not giving a warning. But the mountains 'rocked' LOLOLOLOLOLizFuNnIe. Anyway.
I suppose it wasn't precisely a wall, more a balustrade or a fence, Devath, but it was moderately long in comparison to the majority of posts. Eh.
Hi, new person!))

"Well, that sounds reasonable enough."
Siber had been hearing Paul's conversation as a dim buzz in the back of his head, he realized once Paul asked him about it.
"Sorry, Anthony, I'm being called... someone has offered me a penny for my thoughts."

"Yes, Paul, I heard your conversation, but I missed most of it." Luckily, Keldan, as a practiced dredger of memories, could just rewind like a tape recorder and play it back so they could both pay attention the second time. "So don't worry about correcting yourself." He grinned. "It occurs to me that this means you've picked up on my conversation with a guy named Anthony, probably. Look, this mode of communication will have to end; I just don't trust it at all. So I hope you're doing well with this new person and Takeshi, I wish them all my best, and I bid you adieu." He folded the coin into a pocket normally reserved for powdered cesium (read: small, multi-layered, and waterproof), but Teller hadn't had any at the time Siber took the jacket.
He abruptly felt Gurul, walking in his direction. What to do, what to do?

Keldan's voice came through like a dog barking.
Siber pulled a mint leaf out a packet of herbs in his pocket and started chewing on it.

Siber waited for the jasmine powder he had slipped in to take effect. With time, Keldan's temper cooled, though he pretended he was just coming down off an emotional high. Finally, Siber turned back to Anthony, waiting off-hand for Samuel's approach with his third eye open.
"I'm sorry that took so long. Out of curiosity... you wouldn't happen to know how well-tapped wireless networks are in the area, would you? I have a feeling they're about as safe right now as the Amazon river in terms of channels, but I could be wrong."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:11 pm

Samuel meandered up to the front of a cafe and stood there for a moment.

Samuel looked in the cafe, memorizing the feel of the other signature in the room with Siber's, and wandered off.

"Tapped like oil in the gulf, whenever someone doesn't put their own countermeasures," Anthony replied. "I've been isolating my end of your channel from outside ears, though, and I suspect whoever was on the other side was doing the same so I couldn't listen in.

--

Athena, again, recited sources from its/her encyclopedic memory.

--

Takeshi, surprised by Agnese's sudden 'hiring' of him, was thrown off by his sudden load, processing Paul's lie to incorporate it into his own, and Agnese's sudden statement.

"I... er... what's this about my birthday?" Takeshi asked, confused, as he shifted his newfound cargo into a more comfortable arrangement.

--

Samuel entered the first pizza place he came across - "Pizza Small Rudimentary Dwelling."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 05, 2008 10:40 pm

"Oh... well, that's good. Thanks."

Siber blinked a few times rapidly as Paul's conversation became a part of his random-access memory.

Samuel's signal was receding.

Siber slipped the penny up to his throat so it was between the shark tooth necklace and his skin. It would give Paul something like the bass boost function on an equalizer for his voice, but it was far less noticeable there than his chin. "Sorry again, Anthony; I need a moment.
"Scratch that, Paul; I'm being overly paranoid. We need to collaborate on where everyone is; meeting-up time has got to be near. I left Takeshi and Joe in a bar, but I overheard you talking to Takeshi, so I assume you know where they are. I picked up on Samuel just a second ago. We're missing Agrotera, though; have you seen her?"

"...You're going to get exactly what you want, whatever that is."

Agnese pulled her cellphone back out and texted a message to her uncle about ng late before pulling out her palm pilot and making note of her new assistant. She could feel something a bit off about her shoe and with a sigh handed her PP ovehe man holding her lunch.

"Write something in there about getting new shoes, by the way, your landlord is creepy."

<(Magic and creepy, never a good combination.)>
