Mitsu and Kilik took their first steps, not hesitantly but eager with the sense of exploration, into the hustle and bustle of Jubilife City. The city itself looked looked highly industrialized with it's magnificent buildings of glass and steel, each several stories high. Condominiums, department stores, towers and other various places lined along the streets as they stretched towards heaven. The buildings weren't naked either, but clothed in ads of all thing imaginable from Pokeballs to clothing and cosmetics to potions. They city held everything that could be bought with money, and then some Mitsu thought.

The home-grown Hoenn girl, as Kilik had called her, felt a bit of culture shock. Nothing was this big and busy in Hoenn, or any other place she'd been. Mitsu was more use to the rural areas, even busy post cities like Slateport wasn't nearly this crazy. It was like having a million Space Centers, the most advanced space and sciene orientated building they had on Mossdeep Island, all located in one place. It felt a bit overwhelming. "S-so did you want to do something here first?" she asked Kilik, "Or do you want to head to Rowan's?" The purple haired girl and unconsciously stepped closer to the tall boy not really out of fear for the city but because he was something familiar in a sea of foreign and unknown.

After landing in Saffron City, Nina recalled Krystal into her ball and clipped it back to her belt. "We're home, hon," she said to an utterly exhausted Sabrina, whom she was aiding in walking as Anna floated near them. She smiled. "Good... can we go to the Gym, please? I need rest... I need..." Nina hushed her sister. "Of course. I was planning on taking you there, anyway. That's the place I feel most comfortable." The duo walked the streets of Saffron at a pace that Sabrina could keep up with, so that she wouldn't wear herself out any more than was absolutely necessary. It was odd, Nina thought. It felt like years had gone by since she had been back to Saffron. The city seemed almost insignificant in comparison to the things that she'd recently seen, such as the hunt for Anna, the battle with Mewtwo inside of Cerulean Cave, and then the fight with Maorde. So very much had happened that she was still trying to wrap her head around. The one thing that was on her mind more than anything was Mewtwo, however. What I wouldn't give to befriend that Pokemon, she thought. He was so terribly vicious and cold. Hatred was the only emotion he was capable of displaying... I wish I could show him that not all people are as terrible as the ones that mistreated him. The poor thing sits in solitude in the most remote locations that it can find, and I truly sympathize with him. The feelings of loneliness are all-consuming, and I can't even begin to fathom what type of effect that's having on Mewtwo. I know he has a heart hidden underneath that terrifying exterior...

Lost in thought, Nina didn't even realize that she had arrived at the Saffron Gym. It was quite a relief to be back at her Kanto home. As she approached the entrance, however, she noticed a piece of paper with some writing on it that was taped on the door. She snatched it up and stuffed it into her pocket-- Probably some punks writing nasty things about Psychic Pokemon again, she surmised. Walking inside, she couldn't help but to smile. "We're here, Sabrina," she said, helping her sister to the dormitory area in the back of the Gym, and laying her down on a bed. She sat beside the elder girl.
"Thank you so much, Nina," she replied. "I just need to sleep for a little while and I'll be all better. I promise." Nina nodded. "You take as long as you need. I don't intend on going anywhere for a little while; I need to recuperate as well. All of these recent events are starting to take a toll on me. I'll be here when you wake up." With a little smile, Sabrina nodded, before rolling over onto her right side and closing her eyes. She fell asleep soon after. Nina smiled, and got up from Sabrina's bed, heading over to her own, Anna in tow. She laid on her back and stared at the ceiling, before remembering the piece of paper that she put into her pocket. She began reading it.

Her heart sank.

To Nina and Sabrina Williams, Gym Leaders of Saffron City:

It has come to the attention of the Kanto Pokemon League that the Saffron City Gym has been under extreme neglect for the past several months. As a result of your failure to uphold your duties as Pokemon Gym Leaders, we must hereby permanently revoke your Gym status as of this day, September the eighteenth, 2009. Full Gym privileges have been reinstated to the Fighting Dojo belonging to Mateo. If you believe that you have extenuating circumstances that have prevented you from performing your duties, please contact Lance O'Rourke at your earliest convenience. If your case meets the required criteria, a hearing will be held at a time and place of the League's choosing. Thank you and have a nice day.

An all-consuming numbness washed over Nina.

I swear to the gods that the next person who gives me s**t for smoking is getting smacked upside the head, Keegan thought irritably, resisting the urge to exercise his new rule right now. He glared over at Mai, even less amused by her sarcasm even though he'd been expecting it. Of course not, he thought, but when she fell silent for a few moments, he couldn't help but notice it, and he watched her face as they walked, trying to decipher her expression. When she turned to look at him he looked away quickly, not wanting to seem as though he'd been staring. However, when he heard that she no longer had Shocker in her possession he stopped in his tracks, feeling his heart sink to the bottom of his stomach. "Giovanni has her," he repeated quietly, tossing the remainder of his cigarette to the asphalt, and he stepped on it, almost wishing he hadn't bothered to even ask. He nodded meekly at her suggestion of having Pan healed, and all he could do after that was watch as the Rocket disappeared into a crowd of ******** the looks he was now receiving from several people walking by, the redhead made his way towards the Pokemon Center, having just seen Kasiya and Sasha go inside. So far, he really wasn't enjoying his 'vacation' in Sinnoh. With a sigh he brought the Grovyle's PokeBall to the counter and gave it to Nurse Joy, not even giving the fact that there were Nurse Joys in Sinnoh a second thought. He leaned against the counter and waved at the two girls, just in case they had missed him.

"Nononononono! Stop it!" Mia cried running around the Pokemon Center in Jubilife trying desperately to catch her two Pokemon. Ryhme the Floatzel had gotten ticked with Jello's odd poetry and interpretive dancing and had selected the best method to shut the green jumble of vines up, that is, to chase the poor creature around, threatening to tie it into a knot to the nearest table leg she could find. The random influx of trainers wasn't helping the situation either.

Mia dodged left and then right and then left some more to avoid running into any of the new trainers. However, the two smaller Pokemon were too speedy. The Tangela had managed to weave it's way through a red-headed trainer's legs thus loosing Rhyme for just a split second. The only thing that Mia could think was "Not again!" as she crashed head long into the red-headed trainer. Whoever he was, she was hoping he'd be in a good enough mood to be forgiving.

The crash was enough to stop Rhyme and Jello in their tracks, as well as attract the attention of more than a few trainers. Gawd, their trainer was such a dumb klutz Rhyme thought, shaking her head.

"I s'hink we should wait." said Sasha, leaning against the counter watching intently as a girl chased around her two Pokemon. One of them was a Tangela, the other one she had no idea what it was, but it was cute! The girl in pursuit was dressed in a rather silly looking hat, which looked a lot like Winona's hairdo when she had her helmet on. "Z'he s'hings keeds wear z'hese days. Moche." she clicked her tongue through her teeth and looked to her friend for support.

Before she could get a response from Kasiya, Keegan walked through the door. He waved. "Like we could meess someone like you." she said playfully to herself. She smiled at the boy, then glanced over to see the mess of vines with shoes run in between Keegan's legs, its trainer hot on its tail. She didn't seem to be stopping. "Faites attention, Keegan!" Sasha cried, but it was too late. The girl smashed into his legs and sent them both to the ground. Sasha ran over to help her friend up. "Êtes-vous bien?" She glared at the girl. "Ever heard of a Pokeball, leetle girl? You could have really hurt my friend!"

"Gah! I'm sorry!" Mia cried, standing up, bowing several times in apology. She was so clumsy, her mother had always warned her about it but she never really listened. The blue haired girl mentally sighed, she really should have listened, though with her father's ridiculous personality it was kind of hard to stop from being so lighthearted and free. Mia straightened her stance, she was bent over from chasing her Pokemon, and suddenly she loomed over the pink haired girl before her. Though they were of the same age, not a little girl as she'd accused her of being, Mia clearly was taller. Height was something she definitely inherited from her father.

"I'm really sorry," Mia apologized once more first to the angry pinked-haired girl and then to the red-head. She held her hand out to the boy, ignoring the girl's constant glare. It was understandable that she was mad, in fact, everyone in this metallic city seemed to get mad over the littlest things. Not like back home in Pastoria where you could relax and be yourself.

Rhyme scoffed at the pink-haired girl. No one bullied around Mia unless it was her! She stomped her way over to the blue haired trainer, crossing her arms with a defiant glare at the pink haired girl if she tried anything funny. Jello was content with hopping over the the small group as well, offering assistance to the red-head should he need it with her multiple vines. They often had to clean up Mia's messes, but they loved her nonetheless and they would always be there to protect her even in her stupid moments like this.

Kasiya hadn't really been paying attention to anything inside the Pokemon Center except for the front doors, and when she saw the redhead enter she waved back at him, glad that he'd made it here in one piece. As he gave Pan's Pokeball to the nurse she spotted the girl chasing after her Pokemon, and the strange orangey-thing was enough to make her want to check her PokeDex. The instant she looked away, however, was when the collision occurred, and she looked up, PokeDex in hand in time to see Sasha running over to help the redhead get to his feet. Hey, that's supposed to be my job, she thought, unable to stop the slight jealous pang that shot through her as she forgot all about the strange Pokemon, and she quickly rushed over to Keegan's other side to try and help as well. "That looks like it hurt, are you okay?" she asked, casting a look at the girl as she stood up, suddenly much, much taller now that she wasn't stooping. "Whoa," she mumbled, deciding to focus her attention on Keegan instead. It seemed Sasha was angry enough for the both of them, and she really wasn't interested in starting any fights quite just yet.

One minute, Keegan was just standing there, enjoying the view of his two female companions and minding his own business and then the next he'd been introduced subsequently to the floor and side of the counter, resulting in a moderate amount of pain in his rear. Luckily, it seemed to be the only thing damaged and he grumbled as he sat up, suddenly very pleased to see that Sasha and Kasiya had rushed to his aid. "And they say chivalry's dead," he chuckled, getting to his feet with the help of the two, er, three of them. The girl that had knocked him over was a lot taller than he initially thought, and he could tell from the apologetic look on her voice that she really hadn't meant to knock him over. "Don't worry about it, I'm fine, really," he muttered, though he had to agree with Sasha on this one. "But yeah, you should probably keep your Pokemon in their PokeBalls if they're being unruly. He eyed the weasel-like Pokemon that was currently giving Sasha the evil eye, and gingerly rubbed his aching buttcheek as though it would ease the pain. Okay, that's gotta be a record somewhere. Not even here three hours in Sinnoh and I've already been bowled over by someone. No really, they should give awards for this kinda thing.

Just try it. Sasha thought, glaring back at the fox-like Pokemon. I will end you. She heard Keegan's dismissal of all their help. "Okay." Sasha said, taking her hand off of his shoulder. Hearing how calm and collected he was helped calm her down as well. Chill, girl. Sasha said to herself. It was an accident. I can't keep stressing out over everything. She took in a breath an exhaled, turning to the girl who knocked him over. She was...really tall. Wow. Sasha gently cleared her throat. "I am sorry." she said, biting her lower lip. "I didn't mean to snap. I've just been having a pretty crummy time since my friend...ran away." She looked at Kasiya and Keegan, knowing they'd understand who she was talking about.

Manners?

"Oh, right. My name iz Sasha Jennings Beauchamp the Fourth. Who might you be?" Sasha put a hand on her hip and looked to her friends as they introduced themselves.

"Sorry, they're not use to being in their Pokeballs," Mia mumbled as she dug through her bag, "back home we never had this problem. This city's always been too cramped." Though halfway through her mumbled words she'd been distracted, not really addressing the red-head or the two girls who were now present. Some more fishing in her bag before a resounding "ah-hah!" was heard.

Mia presented the boy with a strange blue-ish bar. It sort of resembled a granola bar, though smaller and blue. It looked like it'd only take a few bites to down. "I know, it looks weird," she began already predicting the skeptical faces that the trio would be wearing, "but it'll make you feel better in case the crash hurt." She held the bar out to him, an olive branch of sorts, hoping they had no hard feelings. Her mother had actually created the recipe that used Oran Berries and their medicinal properties to heal. She use to give Mia bits here and there when she got boo-boos as a kid. As she grew up her mother parted her home-developed cures.

Rhyme was still glaring at the girl, though the situation seemed to have been defused. She scoffed, still disliking the pink-haired girl very much. Geez, just look at her in her prissy clothes! Rhyme rolled her eyes at the human's glare. "Rhymeeee," Mia warned, the last thing she wanted was her Pokemon to attack them. Jello seemed content, though she was tuckered out from all the running. She plopped down on the floor, resting a moment.

"Miyamaru Wake, though you can just call me Mia," she replied. She was a bit curious as to why they hadn't immediately exclaimed something like, "Oh my gosh! You're Crasher's daughter!" or something along the lines, but she'd take it that they were probably unfamiliar with the fact. Though really, her outfit, a gift from her father, should have been a dead give away.

Kasiya breathed a small sigh of relief as the situation was quickly diffused, and, strangely enough, by Keegan. It seemed odd for him not to completely lose his cool and start yelling at the girl, but she decided not to question his good behavior, and instead remained rooted next to him, her arm linked through his as her jealousy had yet to subside, but she did give Sasha a knowing look as she explained her own rash behavior. "Ooh, hey, Mia's my mom's name," she answered once the girl had introduced herself, and she held out her free hand for Mia to shake. "I'm Kasiya, nice to meet you." She took a moment to study the taller girl's outfit, only then realizing how small she seemed in comparison to all these tall people. Mia practically towered over her, and Sasha as well, for her height was important for her modeling career. And of course Keegan was taller than she was, too, but that had never really bothered her at all. The more she thought of it, the more she began to realize just how much taller most of her friends really were. Well don't I feel all tiny and stuff, she thought, now practically clinging to Keegan's arm.
PostPosted: Tue May 18, 2010 10:03 pm

Keegan blinked and studied the tiny blue granola bar-like thing Mia had handed to him. It didn't look overly appetizing, but to be polite he wolfed it down anyway, but was soon surprised to find that it was actually pretty tasty. "Thanks," he said, and though he thought that perhaps he was imagining it, but suddenly his butt didn't seem to hurt at all anymore, either. "Keegan Summers," he said quickly, attempting to extend his hand for her to shake but quickly found it to be impossible thanks to the Clamp attack Kasiya had suddenly used on him. She wasn't exactly hurting him, though, and he smiled down at her and pulled her closer to him, assuming this was a good thing. This was the most contact they'd had in a while without it seeming awkward and uncomfortable, and he wondered if their relationship would ever reach the stage it was at before everything fell apart.

His thought processes were interrupted by the pink-haired nurse informing him that Pan was fully healed. He thanked her and accepted the Grovyle's PokeBall and carefully set it back in its place on his belt, which was a feat indeed seeing as Kasiya was still clinging to him like a Shellder to a Slowpoke's tail, but again, he really didn't mind. He'd even managed to get his thoughts away from Mai for a while, and he looked over at Sasha. "Didn't you two have some shopping to do?" he asked, eager to get out of the somewhat crowded Center, but he had no intentions of going it alone, lest he be knocked over by someone else.

“Alright, so I take it you are heading to the city down the road. If that’s the case you are going to need to cross some water and I know a way we can train and you can get to where you need to go.” Alastair said as he tossed out a pokeball. Out of the ball came a pidgeot, pidgey’s fully evolved form.
“Wow…a pidgeot” Eraku said amazed by the beauty of the bird.
“Ok hop on my pidgeot, we are going to go for a flight, I want you pidgey to fly along with us. This is more for you to understand than for it to.” Alastair said as he hopped onto the back of staraptor.
“Alright let’s do this. Hurricane stay by me.” Eraku said climbing onto the back of pidgeot. The three took off and immediately gained some altitude.
“Ok now what I’m going to say may sound crazy but it will help you understand what your pidgey is trying to do. I’m going to have my pidgeot fly faster and faster so that you can feel the forces at work. Your pidgey shall follow and keep up. This will not only strengthen your pidgey but it will strengthen you as well. Ok pidgeot GO!”

With that the pidgeot darted forward at break neck speeds, Eraku was doing all he could hang on. He dug his knees into the side of the bird and tightened his grip around its neck. He looked back and he could see Hurricane trying its hardest to stay on the bird’s tail but the pidgeot was only going fast and Hurricane was slowly falling behind. Looking down he could see clearly that they were passing over a body of water and the far shore was not so far anymore. The speeds were only getting faster and Eraku could feel himself getting light headed. He looked back and he could see Hurricane barely a speck now and then his vision was getting darker..and darker and he could feel his grip on the pidgeot loosening and he looked down and he could see far below him a large city and then he felt himself fall off the pidgeot..down..down he went all he could hear was the rushing of wind and a faint yell of someone yelling…

This girl was the one that he had been waiting his whole life for? The girl who was crying on the ground because she had left him here? Frowning Chimchar stared down at her with hard eyes as she kept apologizing to him. She had seemed so strong a moment ago when she had promised to take him with her, heck she had said he was coming with her no matter what. Maybe she really did feel bad? No, that couldn't be it, if she had felt bad then she would have come sooner!

Sniffling Robin wiped her nose with the back of her hand not caring at all how she looked at the moment as she stared at the fire pokemon before her. "I am so sorry, I didn't know you were waiting so long. I didn't know you were waiting for your friends to come." Hiccuping a little Robin stared at the other pokemon for a moment before offering. "I know I am late, but if you want to come with me and join us I would be glad to have you no matter what happens."

This wasn't how it was supposed to be! The trainer who was supposed to pick him up wasn't supposed to feel so bad for leaving him behind! Two sets of blue eyes met neither one backing down. The moment seemed to last for a long time before finally they seemed to reach an understanding. The Chimchar didn't seem to really be to happy with it but even he could see that this girl wasn't going to back down and just keep following him until he did join.

Grinning Robin got up and did her best to wipe her face clean but ended up messing her self up some more. Laughing slightly she glanced back at Rowan and Ampersand. "Do you think I could use the restroom?"

"It's down the hall." Rowan offered his voice its usual stern tone. He watched Robin nod and bend down to pick the Chimchar up only to get her hand slapped away. The girl didn't seem to mind and dropped it before heading back into the labs. "I hope you know what you are doing Robin." Rowan warned looking at the still upset Chimchar who was pouting in the yard.

"I know that Ace is going to be a great new friend." Was all Robin said her voice full of confidence as she walked by.

"Who's Ace?" Ampersand said after a moment not quite understanding what just happened. It looked like the Chimchar was still upset at Robin.

Kilik couldn't believe the sheer size of this city. Jubilife was at least fifteen Verdanturfs all smushed into one, with the technological advances of Mossdeep and Saffron, and almost as busy as Goldenrod. The large television screen was broadcasting the end of a "Got MooMoo Milk?" commercial and leading into a preview of the next episode of "All My Pokemon", which was toted around as 'Sinnoh's Number One Soap Opera!'. Ever since Machamp left Gardevoir, the show hasn't been the same, Kilik thought to himself, remembering the summers past when he would end up watching it with his mom. When he felt Mitsu brush and hold against him, he looked down at the purple haired girl. He had to admit that Jubilife was rather intimidating.

"No," he said, nearly being mowed down by an angry looking business man. "Let's get going to Sandgem. Luckily, the map didn't say this place had a Gym so I won't have to come back here for anything major. He slid his hands into his pockets and kept heading south out of the city. Next to the Pokemon Center was a schoolhouse, much like the one in Rustboro City. He'd remembered his little sister talking about how badly she wanted to go to the school there because Roxanne was a teacher. I'd be willing to bet, in such a busy place, that the school here it much more prestigous...perhaps my family should move here. Then again, the culture shock Mitsu felt would only be a fraction compared to how scared his little sister would be.

The two finally made it out of the city, crossing into an field, something that he was familiar with. The lay of the land looked a lot like the route from Littleroot Town leading to Oldale Town. He took a deep breath of the fresh air and sighed. "Well, south we go!" Kilik said, walking ahead of Mitsu with his head held high. He was unable to contain his excitement anymore - he wanted his Chimchar and by golly, he was going to get it.
