The powerful slam of the black Liger Bomb had seemed to knock the lightning right off of her, Inari had never felt so energized and confident in herself, she had this enemy on the ropes. The battle really hadn't lasted all that long, but knowing the lightning nature as well as she did. It wouldn't be long before this woman could recharge and she would be back at full strength. The real problem with that was that Inari couldn't recharge quite as fast seeing as how she really wasn't 'made' of lightning like her opponent was. Her confidence overwhelmed her as she had realized quickly she wasn't unstoppable as she winced in pain, looking down at her foot she almost immediately realized what had happened. She had let her guard down for a second, but at least the battle was in close quarters now, she couldn't move all that far but she could still attack. The neglect to evade the pinning attack left Inari in close enough range to attempt to intercept the bringing back of the hands for another clap. If this one succeeded it might tear her leg clean off.

Inari had to think fast this time, she would unleash a jutsu she had only ever read about. She had managed to use the black lightning to add to the power of the Liger Bomb and now she was going to try to use it again. Focusing all of her chakra she unleashed quick hand signals and gritted her teeth, "Lightning Style: Black Panther Jutsu!" The narrow hall filled with a deafening crack of lightning as the large panther created of pure black lightning roared out of Inari's person. Pushing it to attack she thought one of two things would happen. Her jutsu would cancel out her opponents. Or it would continue down the hall and tear her to shreds. Either way it would try to get to the water, that was outside, on the other side of her opponent. She was safe from the thunderclap but was still pinned to the ground. Inari's eyes shot back and forth after the Panther was released, thinking of a way to remove the blade from her foot. She would need a moment to rest at least, as the last jutsu she used took alot out of her. She was using it as a two pronged ability both offensive and defensive, filling the hall with black lightning that would hopefully incinerate her where she stood.

The panther and the thunder clap seemed to devour each other. It was almost beautiful to watch. She got up and placed her hand on her body as she it seemed to give a slight smile. her body was steadily recharging and soon.. she would have to gain her powers back. she didn't have it all back yet but she was gathering slowly but surely. She could feel the lightning in her veins and she could feel her cells almost exploding with power. She walked towards her down opponent as her voice seemed to crackle with lightning. She was sparking with power again.

"I am power girl.."

her fist seemed to glow with a bit of electricity. It wasn't as much as she started with. However it was enough to cause an almost blinding effect with her fist. The lightning started to glow and arc around her fist. She brought her fist down quickly trying to strike her opponent in the chest. IF the fist connected it would be be like being hit with a taser. She called ti her Taser punch. She quickly went down and pulled the sword out of her foot as she would spin in a circle trying to slice her across the stomach. Her whole goal was to destroy and disable. As her powers slowly but surely returned.

"..do you understand yet..you play with lightning.. I am lightning,,,"

She said with a grim tone in her voice. Her eyes sparked the lightning again. As she was almost recharged. She could explode. As her knuckles cracked and she blinked a few times. The power could be seen again in her eyes. She was falling back in love with the lightning.. and any one and every one could feel it.. The intensity started to be able to be felt again. The pressure would start to get intense around both of them. As she frowned and swung the sword in a defense position. She wouldn't be caught off guard by this girl again. The atmospshere would start to change and outside the sky would get darker. She eneded to get outside..and take this battle back otu to the outdoors if she wanted to be back at full power. However she was arrogant. She was cocky. That was the problem.

'Tch, well that hardly worked out the way I'd planned. Either way... I'm running out of tricks I need to start thinking about ending this now.' Once the woman took the sword out of her foot she weaved some slow hand signs and knelt down on one knee running her hand across the injured foot. Healing the wound as her hand passed over, it was a technique that she had relished to use, but a foot injury in a battle like this might turn out to be more than fatal, it would slow her down and really prevent from kicking at all, she couldn't put too much weight on it and definitely didn't want to connect with a kick from that leg. Healing it seemed like the best choice, it was a quick fix and it would allow her to carry out the fight if need be. And the way things were going, it might be a little longer than she expected. Returning to her feet she brushed the water from her pant leg off and stared down the lightning enhanced fighter in front of her as she proceeded forward towards her. She didn't have many options as the next barrage came quickly. Thinking quickly she again developed a last minute ploy to evade the attack, she knew how strong lightning could really be, if any of these attacks struck her they would cause major damage to her.

Creating two lightning clones she faced the attacker head on with corresponding blows, the plan was never to deflect her attacks but to have them hit, the overload of electricity might give her a chance to get away again and reformulate a plan. The lightning armor was beginning to malfunction and it was causing her muscles to twitch and lose control. As soon as she switched she made a dash down the hall away from the other woman. The halls in the building were dark and winding, she knew if she got too far in she might not find her way out. But then again Lightning was still easily harness from fighting in the opening like that. In the one of the narrow off hallways she slipped into cover behind a wall and caught her breath, which gave her a chance to think. 'Damnit, my only real hope is to try to overload her armor again. That will give me a chance to hit her with my own taijutsu and take her out for good this time.' wiping her mouth she smirked, 'this is really exciting though, and I really can't wait to fight stronger opponents.' she shook her head and realized she needed to focus on her current opponent. The plan she had used last time of releasing the lightning armor would probably work, her armor was definitely weakening and she knew that she wouldn't attempt to overload it again, so it came down to Inari to bring her own armor down. 'Well... risky move but I think I can win with it.' she sighed and realized what it was she needed to do. Catching her breath she was prepared to launch an attack as the woman got closer down the hall towards her.

All of her training and research couldn't have prepared her for actual combat, the rush of thinking of a strategy and not knowing whether or not it would work was thrilling. Every landed blow was a rush of confidence and adrenaline, she realized that a few solid blows could really end a fight so in the future she would consider following a one hit knockout strategy. But having the tools to carry out a battle was important to. 'So this is what being a ninja is all about huh... I could get used to this,' She knew that there was more to be a ninja than fighting but everything else she had been doing for years, the research and the work and the helping people out. The only thing she had been missing out on was the fighting because she never had the techniques to do so. But now, on her way to the Akatsuki she was getting the help and experience that she needed to be a powerful warrior. Under cover of the wall she reached her right hand around her neck to the curse mark, which was flared up with pain from the amount of jutsu she had been performing, she needed to find a way to get around this pain. She needed to figure this Seal out or she really wouldn't have a long career as a ninja. Already knowing the pain that it caused her while performing jutsu she could fight through it as long as she took a break. The lightning armor that she had on allowed her muscles a little more give and push when it came to physical pain, unfortunately the pain of the Seal burned deep down in her skin and wasn't affected at all by any type of counter effort she performed. Understanding it was the only real way that she could beat it. Closing her eyes she realized that the only way she would get to find out about it would be if she killed the woman who was trying to kill her right now. Using a bold strategy Inari took a deep breath and put her plan into motion, hoping it would work.

Stepping out into the open of the hall she saw the lightning arcing around the woman who was a good distance away. "Well what’s wrong with you? Don't tell me you're tired already. I'm just getting warmed up. Don’t tell me I have you worried now?" She was getting cocky, she knew she could beat this woman, the curse mark had given her dormant power, she had accredited her success so far to its power and the fact her father referred to her as chosen. The fact was that it was nowhere near the level it could actually grant her power yet. It was in a dormant state, she didn't know that yet but the confidence it was giving her was perhaps a power in itself. It was unbelievable that she could be actually so close to defeating this woman. Now that she was out in the open like this, she was preparing to defeat her foe in the next move. She had created a strategy to defeat her, and was about to use it. She was so close to winning this fight that she could feel it. It was just moments await, she simply stood there, with her arms crossed, awaiting her opponent to make the next move.

It was the other aspect of her power. The one she didn't use a lot because she figured it to be a downside to her power. the lightning clones she just looked at them and took their powers completely. Her eyes sparked and she smiled as she rubbed her body slowly. The love of power. The love of sparks.. She was feeling it all over again.. However wherever there was lightning thunder would be soon to follow. She wanted to run from her.. that was fine.. she could run but she couldn't hide. She started to run towards her. However with every step she started to run a boom could be heard. With each step and the closer she drew towards Inari.. Large holes could be seen in the floor. By time she reached Inari she was causing the whole building to shake. She hit her hand on the ground as hard as possible creating a massive shock wave that would destroy the building behind her. It would keep rippling reshaping the ground causing large spikes and tremors in the ground. The building was becoming gradually reshaped an destroyed just in the few moments they were in there. She could only smile at this destruction.. lightning was by fare a beautiful but destructive element. Those who tried to control it.. always seemed to fail.

"do you understand the element you have challenged..girl."

She then launched herself towards Inari. Her body was rolled in a tightly formed ball. She hugged herself tightly as she was coming down towards Inari spiraling at her at a high speed. The pressure could be felt almost drawing her into towards her. She was using her thunder aspect of her powers. The loud booming sound could be heard while she was in the air. The sky was crackling and the air was exploding while she was flying through the air. She started to make the air hotter as she was flying through the air. She was changing the air pressures and alternating her own density. THe impact of her coming towards Inari would be much like a cannonball firing towards a pirate ship. At the same moment she was collecting enough static eletricity.. and she was ready to spark.

"You're not going to leave her alive..how do you feel..."

She said while smiling.

¤*Inari Amarante*¤
╚══════════════╝

Her new approach to battling against Inari was a surprise that completely threw the ninja off balance, she had a technique prepared and ready to use in case of her strutting down the hall covered in lightning like she had been the entire battle before. Now however, she had to immediately switch her style up to match the new style of battle that this girl was using against her. The thundering steps and the holes in the floor both combined to make things a little hard to concentrate against her, but in order to win she would have to wrack her mind for just moments to think of a counter strategy. Her mind could only work so fast and she only thought of one suitable strategy being able to work against someone of this caliber, someone who was trying so hard to not be defeated. In her mind she was defending this place as her throne, being dethroned would be an unbearable shame, and if it were Inari she would be using all of her tricks to defeat the intruder as well. “Yknow, this is getting irritating,” she spoke as she weaved yet more lightning fast hand signs against the woman barreling towards her in a tight ball, “Why don’t you just die already. Lighting Style: Wave of Inspiration!” her hands were covered in electricity as she shook her head and grinned. She knew that this attack would damage the both of them but went for it anyways.

“Bring it on!” extending her right arm out she dashed towards the woman coming towards her, the Lariat was a powerful charging move that when combined with even the near faded lightning armor would add to her physical muscle great enough to make it a powerful move. The added lightning effect on her hands would hopefully negate any last minute lightning defenses from the Lightning Queen. As she raced towards the woman she heard her talk again about killing Inari, “and in case you were curious, I feel GREAT!” She yelled as she collided with the woman. The impact knocked Inari against the wall. The impact of the two moves colliding was incredible and couldn’t have left her unscathed. As she collided with the wall her lightning armor glimmered out its last sparks of protection.

Struggling to stand up she eventually rose to her feet, bloodied and bruised, “Well, what now…” she limped forward through the dust that had been created, “you can’t still want to carry on… haven’t I shown you enough yet?” She was in bad shape after that attack, she had released the lightning from her hands too soon and neglected any defense whatsoever, furthermore she hadn’t even seen what had become of the woman she was fighting. She didn’t know if she hit her or what, she may have even just collided with the massive force of air pressure created. “I have to see the Akatsuki… I can’t die here, sorry.” She continued to limp slowly into the cloud of debris, “in saying that… I don’t believe you can kill me. I will continue to fight back, I can’t… I won’t die yet. And you won’t stop me.” She closed her eyes, holding her arm that she believed to be broken she was on her last legs. If the woman wasn’t badly injured something drastic would have to be performed to defeat her. Reaching onto her side she realized she had never equipped herself with kunai. She was nearly defensless, she had one arm and no ability to fight with her legs. The cold air from the Hidden Rain’s outside blew through an opening. She made her way towards the feelings. As she escaped the dust she slid down a pile of rubble back to the small island they began their fight on. The lightning raged overhead, she had hoped the woman wouldn’t be able to notice her out here at all, if she could sense chakra, there wasn’t much left. If she could sense electricity, Inari might be veiled by the storm. The dust and debris inside would stall her for long enough that Inari could develop another strategy. Looking up at the sky she squinted her eyes open and closed as rain fell upon her face, washing it of blood.

She had known that lightning jutsu and all of their derivations were increased in power by natural lightning. Which there was plenty of here, black lightning however was on an entirely different level, it was more powerful than a standard lightning jutsu but with the added effect of the natural lightning it became close to call. Her variety of lightning ninjutsu could be utilized but she was feeling incredibly weak. She felt as if she only had the energy for a few more jutsu before she was done for. ‘Reestablishing lightning armor would be a good defensive strategy if she indeeds to keep this battle going. But even in the long run it appears that I need to end this fight soon. My next technique will have to be a powerful one.’ Thinking to herself while trying to find a good spot to lay low was becoming difficult, her vision was blurring together she was badly wounded. ‘Damnit, my healing jutsu won’t heal wounds like this, why did I have to face her head on.’ Unattaching the washikazi sheathes and the holder for the gauntlets she placed her weapons on the ground and took her jacket off. Tearing off one of the sleeves she carried it behind a rock and began to slide down it slowly. Losing her footing she hit the ground with a thud and her eyes shut in pain, ‘cmon Inari, you still have some fight in you…’ wrapping the sleeve around her arm she moved her injured arm and realized it wasn’t quite broken, simply damaged. If she was hidden for just a couple of moments when the girl came out into the open she could defeat her. But that’s what she thought about her last plan as well.

This woman was capable of controlling any type of storm Inari believed. And so leaving and going out into the open may have seemed like a stupid idea, but when the dust settled inside, if she was still alive she would be looking for her. Who knew if she could heal, if lightning was absorbed into her. She just needed a little more time to analyze her opponent. And she couldn’t do that in this state, she couldn’t keep up a fight and be able to analyze her weaknesses. ‘Damn… I don’t know what I’m going to do now… she might have me beat. Not so soon, not like this. I need to find the Akatsuki… I need to follow my fathers path.’ Her thoughts were even becoming dire, if she didn’t think of some way out of this she wouldn’t make it past the day. Looking now for any way to turn the tides Inari realized that it would have to be her own talents that won this battle. No tools or weapons would help her win this one, only her mind and knowledge of lightning’s properties. ‘I guess it’s all me this time.’ Looking over at her jacket she had thought that the tools and jacket might be in just the right spot. If she would see that and get close enough to it Inari could launch a brutal attack. Surveying the surroundings she could see the dust settling inside the building. It wouldn’t be long before she was discovered and the battle heated up again, that was the problem. Once it began again could Inari hold out long enough? The seal on her back was crippling her with pain in her already damaged arm. It wouldn’t be long now before she was unable to continue fighting. “Well…” she spoke aloud, “no more head on attacks.” Smirking Inari sat back down to catch her breath. Looking up at the lightning flashes that would possibly herald her end, she realized her only two options were an act of God or a mistake by her opponent. Again not even knowing the condition of the other fighter there was still hope to win however, the Lariat she launched had to have done some damage. But was damaging herself in the process really a good idea. The next few moments would tell as her opponent really discovered what it was that she had done to her opponent, if she was unscathed, there was going to be a lot more trouble for the young ninja Heroine. But for now she simply played the waiting game.

There wasn't a count down. There wasn't even a warning. IT was just the impact that she felt. She felt the impact and she went spiraling. Spiraling like a baseball being knocked out the park. Spiraling like a football being passed up the field. The sensation of being hit like that not only hurt.. but it caused her to let go of her tightly wound ball form. She hit the ground and hit the ruble that was behind her. She slid on the ground and at first.. she didn't make a sound. Her eyes didn't open. Everything just seemed to come to a screeching stop.
...
..
.

Here eyes flashed opened in a spark and she stood up. However she didn't stand up like she had been standing. She stood up in a more hurt nature. she could feel it in her bones.. or what she had left.. That blow taken more out of her then what she thought was possible. She decided to use whatever lightning she had stored and change back to her original form. It was noticeably weaker.. her arcs crackled less. Her eyes didn't sparkle like they did.. even her lightning was dull. However she rose to her feet.

"Oh you mortal... You are fun.. But I think we are going to have end this.."

She didn't charge at her.. Charging was done. It was time to be more.. strategic. She placed her hand on the walls and caused them to be encased with electricity creating a lightning ring around them. Her eyes went up and the charged wall would start to draw closer and closer..closing the distance between them. She then pointed her hand towards her opponent. Nothing to serious but she created a bright light. However the light wasn't to be blinding.. it would cause the person to become nauseous.. possibly off balance.

"You evolved from things.. I have always been... you have fought valiantly.. but its time to die..."

She said in a tone. As she started to walk closer to her.. since the ring was coming in closer and closer. The dark golden form of hers was taxing.. but it was worth it. Her fingers still crackled with power.. but her body was still hurting all over.. She didn't even know how long she could keep this form.

Becoming trapped in a circle of energy was in a sense what Inari was trying to accomplish at the beginning of the fight. If she could keep her defenses towards the Lightning up she would be able to launch a tilted offensive without focusing too much on defense. Now however, in her injured state, with the opponent setting the terms of the enclosure, Inari felt a tad less confident that this was really what she wanted to do in this fight. With the circle closing in her strategies began to form in her head that was when it happened. With a simple point of the finger her opponent blinded her with a bright flash. When she opened her eyes she felt a major pain in her stomach. Like cramps only more sickening, her throat had a lump in it. She hunched over in a nauseous mess. Rubbing her eyes helped the flash dissipate, she managed to open them but the lights were still flashing, with a few heavy blinks she regained her sight but that wasn’t helping her stomach at all, “Dirty trick…” she vomited a little and wiped her mouth. Gasping to catch her breath she hated the feeling on her, but like she had thought as soon as she was flashed, it was no worse than what her own body could do to her. Standing tall again she was disoriented from the attack. Looking down she felt dizzy and unable to catch her balance. Her eyes moving from her feet to her opponent, her vision shaking as her foe grew closer and closer to her. The circle of lightning moving in closer and closer, she would be unable to cast any hand signs in this state. She again needed the think fast against this opponent.

Stepping backwards she fell onto her a**, getting back up while still moving backwards she looked back at the closing in circle. The battlefield that would either make or break her entire life, she would have to kill this woman or be killed in the process. Shaking her head she tried to regain her vision so she could focus on her hands, “What’s wro… ngh…” she couldn’t finish her insult as her stomach flared up again, ‘damn, I need to do something about this woman and quickly. She tried to weave hand signs quickly in an attempt to cast a hail mary jutsu, another black panther. The first three were fine, then she lost focus, attempting them again she again lost focus. Ninjutsu was out of the question. She knew by now her opponent was no ninja, she was a creature made up entirely of lightning. Her forms switched when she ran out of energy or was injured. She also seemed to overload when she came into contact with Inari’s first major attack of the battle. That shut her lightning form off long enough for her to switch to panic mode and attempt her thundering style of intimidation. Although Inari couldn’t see or move to much because of the debilitating technique she was still able to think, and right now that was all she needed. The entire fight had been reflex attack after reflex attack, now she actually had a chance to formulate a decent strategy. Keeping her hands up in defense she just needed to know where she was and didn’t really need to do much else for the time being. Her vision returning slowly to her she realized that the ring around them was indeed a ring of electricity and that there wouldn’t be a whole lot of escape for either of them. As her eyes stopped swaying from side to side she grinned, “If both of us just keep telling each other to die, I don’t think either of will ever listen.” Nearly throwing up again she keep smiling as she struggled to regain her balance, the circle coming ever closer. “You got me there I’ll admit it, but now it’s my turn.”

Closing her eyes she spread her legs to gain balance, weaving familiar hand signs her muscles increased in mass once more as she veiled herself in another coat of lightning armor, she knew there was risk associated with this strategy but she wasn’t going to stray too far from what was working. The lightning armor would allow Inari a certain amount of resistance to the ambient lightning energy ever present in this battle. Her opponent’s style was becoming weaker and weaker, she was running out of energy much the same as Inari was. Staggering towards her, sparks coming off of her, her lightning armor in full force Inari made her way forward. Her body wracked in pain from the Seal’s countering force of her own jutsu. As the circle became smaller and smaller Inari became within range of a severely devastating attack. Smiling she regained her balance, feigning to have lost it for so long. “Gotcha now.” Straightening her hand out she swung a lightning fast backhanded chop towards the foe. With her lightning armor the attack was more than strong enough to break any bone she came into contact with. Her aim was towards the girls ribcage, hoping to stop her long enough to get her in contact with the ring, disabling her lightning barrier.

It was another bold strategy, there was no saying that she couldn’t block the attack, or even dodge it. Inari was functioning off the basic principles she thought the ring and current situation held. The backhanded chop was a last ditch effort. They were both so close now it would be a flurry of Taijutsu if she countered the attack. Which would be hard on both of the injured combatants, as the chop flew through the air Inari could only hope that it would land at this close range and that she had left her guard down just long enough for it to all work.

Not enough time to put up a proper defense... She was still hurt after the first attack. But the rate the girl was moving.. it was fast. She pacing this fight.. and Lightning hadn't had enough time to lick her wounds. The girl was bold.. to say the least. Her hands started to shake she was hurting. She couldn't even get enough space as she tried to back up but the cage was still closing in on them. She tried to put up her arm in a defense from the cross chop. However the blow managed to go through her defense in her weakened state and hit her directly in the ribs.

"Hnn.."

It wasn't a word. It didn't even make sense. It hurt so bad.. she hadn't felt a pain like this in ages. She tried to keep her balance as she was trying to understand the amount of pain that she was going through. But nothing made sense. Her lightning form dissipated again. She appeared to be back in her human form. She spit out some blood and gave her a smile.

"You fought well mortal.."

She handed her a set of blades that she had on her side. She smiled as she gave them to her.

"I find you Inari Amarante... worthy of having these.. use them well.. and you show them that Lightning is nothing.. to toy with.. I will always be with you.. in your heart in spirit.."

As she handed her the blades.. Lightning disappeared in a large flash of light. Clearing out a path for Inari to leave through.

Inari huffed and puffed as she landed the brutal blow on the woman. Her hand in serious pain after landing the attack she shook it off and blew on it. The battle was finally over, she had backed off and admitted defeat. Inari knew that there was a specific amount of luck involved in her victory however, it wasn’t a purely skilled victory like she had wanted her wins to be, but she would take it. Leaning over she grasped for air, “Thank you… I am but a student of your powerful element. It was an honor to fight you, thank you again.” She spoke thanking the woman as she handed her the swords. An odd square shaped sheath was handed to her. Three blades on one side, two on the top, and one on the opposite side, “Seven Swords… what the hell am I supposed to do with these…” Gripping the hilt of one she felt subtle vibrations in the blade that seemed to respond to the lightning armor still active. “They must react to electricity in some way, I look forward to using these swords…” She strapped the sheath to her back just above her butt and tied it around the front in a long bow. She looked down at her arm and smiled, “that was rough… I need to find the Akatsuki soon, travelling on my own is proving to be a little more dangerous than I previously expected.” The win had given her great confidence, she had even visited the Hidden Rain, where Lin was from, and there was still a sore spot in her heart from the ignorance she had been treated with. She decided it would be best to leave there and simply follow her heart. Looking down at her jacket and previous weaponry she simply turned her back, she didn’t need those where she was going now, she remembered the proud black cloak her father wore, the Akatsuki uniform and looked forward to donning it herself.

The experience she gathered in her last fight turned out to be paramount in her future, it would be the source of some of her greatest used weapons, as well as the gateway to her future profession and her turning her back on the entire ninja world in the pursuit of a peace she knew nothing about. All she knew was that she wanted to find these people to join them in the name of her father to further her own name and the name of her family. She was excited to carry on and leave the Rain finally in search of the people she had been searching for. There was no more drama in her life for the time being, she just was left alone with her thoughts, she had defeated a powerful enemy, and now was on her way to begin her future. Looking at herself and how much she had changed since she left the academy she smiled. She no longer wore the long white coat, instead she just wore a button up long sleeve pink shirt. Her pants were now worn out at the bottom so she tied them down to the ninja shoes she had bought in the Hidden Sound Village. With these new weapons she was actually starting to look like a ninja. What lied ahead of her would only be good things.

Leaving the secret entrance to the Hidden Rain Village she found herself in the forest. Her wounds were more dire than she had previously thought. As she wandered through the forest her vision again became clouded and woozy, it wouldn’t be long before she passed out and was left for dead by whatever small woodland animals would want to devour her. She chuckled to herself at the thought, she had just been through a tad too much to be eaten by critters. As she carried on she came upon a small compound in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, it was fairly well hidden but she was simply wandering with barely any sight at all, so she was bound to find something. To her surprise however, it would be the place she coveted for so long, the people she had been longing to meet since her subconscious rendezvous with her father. The time to begin her life really began now.

Hito Odei

User Image

As the ferry approached the rather gloomy fortress of a village that is Amegakure, Hito was astonished at the architectural works that made up the inner areas of the village. The high sky scrapers, with jagged pipes protruding every now and then to another building, seemed to cast giant shadows over the smaller building around them as lightning seared through the skies in the forever raining village. The rain was light, as a person could see through it very well without it hindering their sight much at all; however the skies above were a shade of blueish-gray which seemed to have matched, if not set, the vibe of the area itself. Most, if not all, of the citizens wore dark colored garbs with hoods which made everyone seem suspicious in a way. When the ferry finally docked up, Hito ran into a young boy selling yellow rain coats for next to nothing. "I'll take one," Hito said to the boy who must have been only a few years younger than himself. "Alright," the boy said as he reached for the money that was in Hito's hand while handing him a coat off the rack in exchange. "Here you go. Thank you!" As he walked off of the docks of Amegakure, Hito properly placed his yellow rain coat on. Continuing on he noticed only a few other people who had on the same rain coat as he did; and he also noticed something he had not before, each of the yellow rain coats had a emblem on the back side that resembled a simple red circle. He thought nothing of it as the coat was serving its purpose rather well. Glurrrpp. Sounded off Hito's stomach as he clasped onto his abs in representation of his hunger at the moment. "Man, I have not eaten since before I left the academy," Hito thought as he almost doubled over from the sharp hunger pains that occupied his stomach. Looking around, he was able to spot a illuminated sign that said "Ramen" not to far off. "Alright, I'll head there," he said to himself.
While he walked towards the Ramen restaurant, several rolls of thunder roared in the clouds above the village, and for some reason it made the empty pit feeling in Hito's stomach amplify. He walked with a slight hunch as he held onto his stomach for a sense of security that food is only a few yards away. Approaching the glass doors of the building, Hito was greeted by a woman who held the door open for him and gave him a warm welcome. While he was being seated, the waiter guided him to a special area of the eatery where only people who had on the same rain coat as he did were sitting. "Umm?" Hito muttered before he took his seat. He started to look at the menu and placed his order when the waiter came back around to his table. "Only the best for King Tsugiro's Templars," said the waiter before she darted off to the kitchen to fill his order in. "Templar? The robes belonging to the King's m- how did that kid come across them," Hito question to himself as he peered around at the other men who were sitting amongst him. All of them appeared to be ruffians, but of the noble sort; Hito was glad he kept on his hood. A few moments later the waiter brought back his bowl of ramen and said that the meal was on the house. He could not deny the free meal, but the guilt got to Hito and he left the money for the would be bill on the table next to his empty bowl.
"Okay, now I just have to wait for the next ferry to the Mist," he said as he strolled the streets of the industrialized village. The streets began to slowly get quieter and quieter as he continued his walk. "What's going on," Hito question as logic seemed to not at up at this point. The people that stood at the buildings as Hito walked past seemed to stalk him with their eyes. Hito took note and figured he would continue walking and mind his own. However, a larger cloaked figure stepped out into the middle of the street, and Hito stopped in his tracks. As he stood their, several figures wearing the same hooded cloak as the larger man surrounded Hito along the street. "You templars don't belong here," stated the larger man as an evil grin crept across his face. "I'll see to it that there is one less of you roaming Amegakure. This village belongs to no one but those like us," said the man as he removed his cloak revealing a rather large muscular figure holding a large parasol.
"Reasoning with a gloat such as this one would be a waste," Hito thought,"So I will just have to try and subdue them." Under the shade of his hood, Hito looked at his surroundings. "Six on one," he recording in his thought. The leader of the rogues gave a wave of his hand to the others signaling for attack.
User Image
Fresh out of the academy, this was Hito's first actual battle, and his life was on the line without a doubt. He only had one goal in this, and that was to stay alive by all means. With the signal, the first of the lower rogues darted towards Hito with a knife drawn and ready to slash a good chunk out of Hito's side. "Such a direct attack? Is this guy serious," Hito thought as the up front attempt to take his life was sent his way. From his sleeve dropped three senbon which he quickly clasped into his fist in an instant before throwing them at the attacker. All three hit. And it was lightning quick. The first assailant stopped in his tracks and fell to the ground where his blood began to run with the rain water that covered the streets. The other rogues stood in shock as one of their own was dropped so easily. "You are fast for a Templar. You must be a step up from the others we have killed," stated the leader,"Kill him now!" The other four rogues then darted at Hito with daggers drawn with intent to swiftly kill him. As they approached Hito drew a scroll from his person and unraveled it in the air. In a poof a smoke, what appeared to be a 3-foot hook like weapon dropped into Hito's right hand. He quickly cocked his right arm across his chest with the hook of his weapon facing outward to rip into anything it would connect with and then swung his arm causing him to spin in a circle as the rogues came closer. It connected with one of them in the face, which caused his body to sling around and hit one of his own allies. The other two continued on but Hito spun in the opposite direction with the blunt side of the hook crashing into the side of one of the rogues. "Guuaarghhh!" Hito screamed in pain as the last of the lesser rogues had managed to connect and stab him in his side. The rogue stopped his assault sure of his victory, however Hito's pain only mustered up strength and rage. Hito under swung his weapon full force at the rogue, impaling him through his chest and out his back. As the lifeless rogue lie propped up on his weapon, Hito removed the dagger from his side, gritting his teeth in pain as he did so. He dropped the blade to the ground covered in his own blood that only added to the red mixture that was now surrounding Hito from the bloodshed. Hito's eyes twitched as the pain got to him, and in that instant he felt a huge force hit him from behind. He was sent tumbling several yards forward and his Tsurido was sent flying into the air. He doubled over in pain as he lay on the ground. The blow had knocked him out of his rain coat and even knocked off his hat. The Tsurido vanished in a poof of smoke, returning to the scroll. "Bwhahahaha," cackled the Rogue Leader as he stood holding the rain coat in his hand,"Weakling, and all of them weaklings for falling to scum like you!" Hito slowly rose to his feet and Sansho ran out from his kunai pouch and up to his shoulder. Hito's eyes shifted to Sansho and gave an affirmative nod to the salamander. Sansho leaped off Hito and crawled into a alley way. As Hito stood with a slight hunch on the left due to his wound, he reached as if to grasp his wound, but instead swiftly reached into his kunai pouch as sent a kunai at the Leader. The rogue tilted his head to the side, dodging the kunai and leaving it to fly onwards. "You sneaky littl-" BWOOM An explosion occurred just behind the rogue making him topple over on all fours and blowing a good chunk of the street away. In that instant Hito threw six senbon into the rogues arms and hands. He flinched,"Ngh! You think that'll stop me!?" The rogue arose to his feet, removing the senbon as if they were nothing. "I'll kill you!" Exclaimed the rogue as he charged Hito. "The hell!?" Hito thought as the man charged him. "Water Style: Rushing Spring Lizard!" Hito claimed as he quickly performed a set of hand seals. Three masses of water instantly collected from the rain in the shape of giant salamanders and stampeded at the bandit. They crashed into him and trampled him several yards away and finally sent him crashing into the ground causing a cloud of debris to rise. Through the uplifted dirt and whatnot, the rogue could be heard coughing helpless coughs. As the cloud dispersed, Hito approached holding his wound and picking up his Tsurido scroll. "Y- cough you are no Templar," said the bandit as he lay breathing his last breaths. "No, I am Hito Odei. Known as the people of Hidden Mist's as The Newt," Hito said as he looked over the rogue as his body lay motionless.
Now he had to find someone to tend to his would which was still bleeding, and had caused Hito to become slightly light headed. How fortunate, there was a hospital only a couple of blocks away. Hito made it to the doors of the building before he collapsed. Several nurses ran outside to his aid after a man had alerted them of the situation. Hito woke up the next day feeling much better lying in his hospital bed. His clothes were mended and folded neatly on a shelf by his bed. He sat there looking out the window for a while, until something came up to his window. It was his hat, and it seemed to be moving on its own. Hito opened the window and his hat scurried in and fell onto the ground revealing Sansho, his pet salamander. Hito laughed and picked Sansho up and lay back down in his bed. "The world is already treating us like ninja, eh Sansho?" said Hito sarcastically to the salamander.

It had been an interesting five years. He still couldn't believe that she had found him. Sometimes it almost made him smile. He took his hand through his unkempt hair. He sat and stared at her for a while. They had been in the wilderness training for a while and maybe it was time to come back to the real world to be with the real people.

"You know we have been training for quite sometime now Micha... what if we take a break.. to enjoy the sights and see what has changed..."

He often times gazed at her. She never changed her age. While he always constantly grew older. He remembered being a young warrior..fighting anybody who looked at him cross eyed. Now he was once again training the next generation of warriors, but wasn't he just getting her ready to kill the next person. She wanted to be trained. He didn't ask her to train... he often times had to remember. He walked into the town and noticed that it was snowing. Snowing... he hadn't remembered such a beautiful thing in years...

"Oh look it's snowing..."

He started to trudge through the snow. He didn't shiver, he didn't even shake. He knew what he was getting into and for some reason he didn't exactly love the cold. but he wouldn't make a big deal about it either. He just looked at his shoes and notices his socks were getting wet.

"I am going to need to buy some winter boots or i will probably catch my death out here.. and that's the last thing I want.. to die in this village."

He said with a chuckle. He then looked at her for a bit longer. Those eyes.. he often knew those eyes. They shared something in common. That damned two tails. Had it come back to haunt him. To remind him of what he once was.. he would never bring up his tales of it with her. Or was the nibi trying to stay close to its previous master. He couldn't help but look after her. She was something special alright.... they were destined to be aligned.

"You know... you might be my greatest pupil ever.."

He said to her. He sniffed. As he continued to walk through the blasted snow.

Oh the weather, how beautiful it was. She has never traveled to the village hidden by rain, but she has heard stories. She has heard how gloomy, how just....generic, and bland the village looked. But the snow, it changed her view on it. She loved the snow as a child, and not much has changed. It was the icicles, and just the millions of snowflakes that cover everything glistening and causing everything to look beautiful. She began to reminisce the past before a very familiar, and warming voice was heard. It was her teacher, but more importantly her friend. Five years is a long time to spend with someone. And in those five years she has become quite attached to him. She would die for him, and she truly believed he would do the same for her. It's rare to find a relationship like that as a ninja.

"Hmm, we have been training for a while. Perhaps a break is a good move. Maybe we can go get you some tea." She said with a friendly smile. She looked at him and noticed that he was staring in to her eyes again. He seemed to always do this. It wasn't awkward; it was an actually rather inviting look. She felt that when he looked in to her eyes he was trying his best to read her. Sometimes she even believed that when he was he was reading her mind, hearing her every thought and learning every secret she had. Not that he would have to do that to learn her secrets. She was rather open with him, and told him almost everything. She just smiled at him as they walked through the snow, the sound of the crunching beneath their feet causing a soothing rythm. She couldn't help but giggle when he pointed out that it was snowing. She grinned at him as she spoke "Of course it's snowing; I hope you aren't just noticing this now Drago." She giggled a bit more.

She had to admit she was sort of oblivious to the weather sometimes herself. She didn't get cold like normal people do. Vampires were always cold. Temperature and weather conditions didn't really seem to bother her any. But it did affect her teacher. Her smile changed to a frown as he commented about his cold wet feet. The frown got worse as he commented about dying. "Don't say things like that.... you aren't dying any time soon. If you try I am going to beat you up Drago." She knew he wasn't being serious, but just the thought of him dying was something she couldn't bear. She has spent the last five years with him. They have gotten so close, she just couldn't imagine him not being around anymore. She would do anything in her power to help protect him, though he could do a better job protecting her. She knew that she would die for him if she had to, and she honestly believed that he would do the same for her. They had a bond that was very powerful and could not be broken.

She looked him over from his freezing feet to his ruffled up hair where the grey was slowly turning white from all the snow that was accumulating on top of it. They would need to get to town quickly and buy appropriate clothing. She would do so just to blend in, and besides having an extra coat and cloak could come in handy for Drago later. She looked up to the sky watching as the snowflakes fell towards her. The white cold snowflakes landed on her pal cold face. It was a rather relaxing feeling, and honestly tickled her face a little bit. Then his familiar warm voice broke the silence once more. She wasn't quite sure if she heard correctly what he had to say. That compliment meant so much to her. She couldn't believe he said that to her. He has told her about some of his students, and even with her new found confidence and skill she felt those ninjas blew her out of the water. Her head quickly snapped his way as she stared at him a bit astonished, and overwhelmed with happiness. It was a flattering thing to say to her. She didn't know how to reply to it. She just stared at him for a moment before mustering of the words "Thank you." Which she said ever so bashfully. She turned away from him a bit embarrassed from those words.

"You know, I hope to become an even better student. I won't let you down Drago. Ever." She said quitely as they came closer and closer to the entrance of hidden rain. The only thing behind them were the footsteps from the path they just traveled on.

"Come on let's get you some warmer clothes, some hot tea, and take a little break. Wouldn't want you getting sick on me. I'd have to take care of you, and god knows how that would end up." She said with a quiet awkward laugh as they entered the village. The streets were kind of quiet, probably do to all of the snow and the cold. She turned around to face Drago as she walked backwards through the snow and motioned for him to follow. "Come on I see a place where we can buy some gear right over there." And with that she turned around and led them to the store.

His ears only perked up when she said tea. Over the years they had grown closer. She took care of him as much as he took care of her. He would do anything for her just to make sure she would never have to strike somebody down. It was a pain to do. To constantly have their eyes look at you... it was the one lesson that couldn't be taught. He only gave her a small smile and bowed to her slightly.

"Oh tea? you spoil me."

He said chipperly. It seemed that it was one of the very few things he did enjoy. Maybe it was because it reminded him of his time with her... but that was a life time ago. He only looked up at the sky. To watch the purity slowly float down on them. The snow covered up the bad. The evil. The blood. The anger. The sorrow. However it could never come up someone like him. It only seemed to melt when it touched him or float around him. He tapped his chin and shook his head slowly.

"You know... it is. You must be getting so good..that I missed the climate change."

They trained hard. They trained under waterfalls. They ran mountains. They trained. They trained. They trained. When they were tired... they trained some more. He didn't take it easier on her. Hell she never took it easy on him. He gave her a slight growl. He hated to see her face frown.

"I won't die yet.. don't you worry. I got at least one more story to tell before that happens."

Drago started to walk across the snow again. He was almost jealous of her. Never having to worry about this kind of weather was a plus for her. She was amazing. He on the other hand.. he got hot. He got cold. He got tired after a few days. He was loosing his grip on the world. As they got closer to the man that was selling coats he simply bought two. One for him and one for her. He looked at her and he scratched his head gently. He ordered one pair of boots and placed them on as well. Ah.. almost instant relief. His toes were toasty and warm.

"Can't have people knowing that you don't get cold... and you arn't sporting the snowband. They will get suspicious..."

He patted his warmer coat down and looked at his shoes. All that was left was the tea and possible a snack. They needed this time to relax. it would be nice. They had been working hard for years and he never quiet let up. He rubbed his chin and pointed to small tea shop.

"Kinda looks like the one where we first met in Magic..."

He said as he walked in.. he pulled out her chair and sat down in his own spot. He waited for his food and cup to come but he could only give her a slight laugh. She worreid abotu him so much, yet he had seen it all. He literally remembered the first time he had seen vampires.

"You know I am supposed to worry about you... not the other way around. I promise you that I been doing this for a lot longer then you have been alive my friend. I have seen the gods themselves..."

He then gave a slight smile as he showed her the untanned part of his finger. This is where his ring used to reside. Chaos. It broke him in so many ways that he couldn't count. He couldn't remember the last time he felt whole. However, she was rebuilding him. Giving him a new reason to live and pass on his knowledge. God knows he couldn't keep it up nor did he want too. He told a quick tell of his past. It happened so many years ago.

"When vampires... first made an appearance in the Hidden Land.. was at my first wedding.. They crashed the party and tried to turn my wedding guest. Reina.. what a beautiful girl..."

His voice trailed off...

The tea arrived at the knick of time. He always poured her a cup. He didn't know why. It was out of habit. He poured himself a cup and slowly started to drink. He went back to a previous thought.

"I assure you that.. you have nothing more to prove to me and as much as you take care of me.. you can't let me down."

He said as he finished his first cup of tea. He poured himself another and decided to relive the happy moments.. instead of the sad.

She bowed her head and thanked him for buying her a coat. She agreed that it was a good idea that she blended in with the rest of the crowd. She put the coat on, it was comfy. And she always loved hoods that were big. Ones that she could hide in, or just pull on it to cover her face. She put the hood on and looked up at Drago. "Thank you Drago, I suppose it will at least spare me the questions: 'Aren't you cold?' Besides I may not feel the hot and cold but this fabric is pretty comfortable." She said happily. She watched as he put his boots on which made her feel much better. Hopefully the new warm clothes would help prevent any colds.

She looked over and noticed the tea house Drago pointed out. It did remind her of when they first met. It sort of awed her how long ago that was. So much has changed since there. And as far as she was concerned it was all for the better. She glanced at him out of the corner of her eyes and then followed his lead in to the tea house. She followed him in and bowed her head as he pulled the chair out for her. He was always so polite, even if they have been somewhat recluse from society the last five years. His manners were still on point. He spoke to her about how much she worried. Then he went on to explain why she shouldn't. There was no doubt that he was more than capable of defending himself and her. He would put her to shame with probably one hand. It was funny because as she thought that, he presented his hand to her. She looked at it and noticed the change in color of his hand and the small spot on his finger. Then he began a story that in the five years they shared together, he has never spoke of. He has made tiny hints here and there, but Micha wasn't sure if she should pry for more details.

She listened intently to him as he brought up his wedding day. She couldn't believe that the vampires crashed his wedding, and that was when they first were introduced to the land. She knew that there weren't many of them, but Drago's story, which intrigued her for more answers did prove a point. He has been doing this a lot longer than her. But that little tid bit of information did not really matter at this moment. What she was truly interested in was the story, and who Reina was. But before he got in to detail the waiter arrived with his tea. She shot the waiter an unwarranted annoyed look. She felt a little bad for doing it but truthfully all she cared about was hearing more.

She watched as Drago poured her a cup, like he always did. He knew she wouldn't drink it. But once the waiter walked away and the tea was poured. She waited for him to resume the story.... which he did not. She wasn't sure if he changed the subject on purpose or mostly because the story was interrupted and the topic just happened to change on its own. She stared at him quite intensely trying to read which one it is. But Drago was pretty good at not showing his hand. He reassured her earlier comment about not letting him down. She just smiled and gave up trying to read him; she was no good at it. It was like trying to crack a safe.

"I thank you greatly for your kind words. But those won't change my attitude. You should know better than anyone how stubborn I am." She said as she winked and let herself up from the table. "Excuse me for a moment..." She said as she walked away to the bathroom. She walked in and checked to see if anyone was in the room with her, but it was clear. She reached in to her pouch and pulled out a cannister. She closed her eyes and opened it up. Then she smelt the contents of the cannister and pressed the opening to her lips as she began to drink. She looked in the mirror once she was finished and stared at herself holding the cannister standing in the bathroom. She put the cap on her cannister and put it back in her pouch. She neatly wiped away and of the red fluid that was around her lips before exiting the bathroom. She always felt weird drinking blood in front of others, even after five years she tried to do it in private away from Drago. Plus she was in the middle of a tea shop she may freak some people out.

She exited the bathroom and sat down in her chair. She looked at him questioningly. She had many to ask, but wasn't sure how to present any of them. "Drago, why did you take me in as your student? I know you were finished with the shinobi way of life. Why did you come back in it for a complete stranger?"

She needed to feed. He often times wondered why she excused herself. She was more powerful then the rest of them. She should have been there ruler and maybe she should have been the norm. He could only smile at this though. Somebody that possessed great power who refused to show it off. His problem in his youth..being so brash. So arrogant. So quick to kill. He only tapped his finger as he finished the pot off. He threw a few coins on the table. He asked this one question as he started to wipe his mouth off.

"do you think the meek will ever rule this world... or was it a cruel trick that some old prophet used to say? To be honest.. I don't think the meek will ever rule this world.. It is just not in their nature."

He didn't have any sort of tone in his voice. He just shook his head and thought about it for a moment. He listened to her question. Why did he train her. How could he explain that all of them that he trained ended up to be evil. Literally... all of them besides one. All of his pupils always tried to betray him and kill him. They were all bad at it. None of them had ever succeeded their master. He just wanted somebody to be better then him. Somebody to save the world when he couldn't. He only licked his lips. How could he tell her that he wanted to give her that burden.

"You are something special. I saw that. I saw that before you even said hello. I saw that when I was younger. I saw that during your conception. i saw that the moment you picked up a blade. Before you balled up your fist. I knew that you were something. That the wrong guide could lead you the wrong way my girl. However who knows following my path might have still sent you down the wrong path.."

He often times wanted to tell her so many things. He just didn't know how. He only stared off in the distance at times. How could he explain that they were linked by something..so powerful. They were possessed by the same demon. They both had the two tails and they both possessed the true nature to do whatever it took to do the right thing. However, they both lived in an evil world. He wondered.

"If you had a pupil that turned evil... what would you do? Being a Teacher means a lot to you...could you stop them from doing what they wanted to be evil.."

Drago asked her. He often wondered if he went down the wrong path with his students. Should he have killed them when they went down the wrong path. Was he to soft on them. Or should they have killed him when he went down the dark path. He continued.

"don't answer to fast. I have lived both sides of the moral compass. Good. Bad. Evil. righteous. Which ever side I thought was going to do the most good.. But what about you... could you stand by and watch your pupil go against your training."

Drago bit his lips as he sighed. This wasn't the best thing to think of now. Evil and darkness. Look how beautiful the snow was. He only waved his hand a bit. He gave a polite chuckle to lighten the mood. He put his hand out and collected the snow. It reminded him that it wasn't as a bad as it could have been. He only started to move his hand really fast. It was almost a blur one of his better abilities. He collected in his hand one ball of snow. He rolled in his hand and clenched it tightly.

"It's snowing... A time to remember purity and innocence."

He aimed the snow at the waiter. He tossed it with almost pinpoint accuracy hitting the waiter in the ear. His face remained stoic as he turned back to his student.

"What will you do with yourself when the world doesn't need to be saved anymore?"

He always wondered.. if this time would come.
