Kairi shrieked as she was suddenly picked up, but she didn't try to escape as she normally would have. Instead, she waited until the running away from Dante had stopped and they were safely hidden under the couch. "You'll never stop being my friend, no matter what," Kairi said in response, a grin plastered on her own face, though she was whispering so that Dante wouldn't hear them if he had been quick in following them. Which, considering he got distracted momentarily by the appearance of the second Vulpix, he did not entirely realize that the two redheads had disappeared. Nina leaped down off of her trainer's shoulder to sniff the other Vulpix before looking back to her trainer. Finally, Dante realized that Reno and Kairi had in fact disappeared. The blue-haired boy retrieved Nina from the floor, and picked up the other Vulpix as well, not wanting to leave it behind as he headed down the way that his cousin and friend had, though, when he entered the room he would not see them.

Tetra, having followed the trainers as well, was currently snuggled up against her trainer, realizing that this was a game of stealth and that she had to be a good puppy and not make any sound. She could smell Dante and his Pokemon as he entered the room, and she couldn't help but whimper a tiny bit. Being filled with so much energy, she didn't really like being hidden under the couch.

Suppressing a small bit of laughter as Dnate wandered into the room, Reno gave a thumbs up in response to Kairi's words before attempting to locate Ezekiel in the room. Peering around from his position under the couch, he soon found the Houndour hidden in the area behind Dante. Grinning mischievously, he signaled to the pup before yelling, "Puppy power!!" Rolling out from under the couch, Reno sprinted into another area of the base with no where he might end up.

Kain awoke from his slumber still groggy but he felt good about this day. His eyes where crust filled and he didn't see the red headed boy dashing down the hallway strait towards him. With a slam Kain was on his back. "We'll good mourning to you too, Reno" Kain pronounced looking at the smaller boy in front of him. "Now what's all the rush?"

Looking at the collapsed man and back down the hall to where Dante was likely to show up, Reno decided now would be a good to go to work and grabbed Kain's arm. Swinging him up onto his back, Reno took off back down the hall in an effort to keep the game going. "We are currently playing keep away from Dante, so just go with this and keep moving." Reno told his new companion, turning another corner to keep on running.

Kain completely tooken off guard by the boy smaller and younger than him lifting down him down the hall. "Ummmm okay then?¿?... ". Kain preferring to not be held by people, slid off Reno's with a single move. Not stoping to look, hence Kain loves a good game, rolling into the nearest bedroom and hushing the arcanine quietly growling at him. Now the red eyed Kain awaits Daunte to pass his seights.

Sub would notice that Blizz wasn't waking up just yet, so what did he do? He noticed a nearby rock from the last training session that took place here and chucked it at his head. Fortunately Blizz wouldn't see what threw the rock at him as Sub was disguised as simply ice thanks to the Zorua's illusion. Now he just had to wake for Blizz to wake up so he could battle Odd.

The Pokemon that would come out from the Marowak's prodding would be Weavile, staring in confusion at what was around him and the Marowak before him. When explained of the situation, he wasn't feeling all that confident that such a notion would work, though he'd play along nonetheless. Weavile looked towards Telia, and Telia just gave a shrug. This was for a good cause as far as she was concerned.

I instantly was jarred awake when the stone struck me. "GAH! WHAT THE HELL!?" The two Pokemon jumped out of shock, not really expecting someone would dare do that. A sweatdrop could only be formed by the two of them.

I shot up, then rubbed my head. "Owww...whaa?"

"Weavile! Wea vile!"

"Voir! Gardevoir voir voiiirr."

"A battle?" I looked around. The Mahogany gym? Now how the hell did I get out here? Last I remembered I was in the kitchen. An opponent across the way. I'm in a gym fight? How did this happen?

I pulled my self up and looked around. Something didn't feel right about what was before me though. It looked like the Mahogany gym. Even right down to the carefully maintained ice that made up the gym floor. The feel though...I was sensing something...off. Celestial chi. Lots of it. Everywhere. Telia was picking up on my suspicions; her thoughts conveyed towards her brother, Psy, who remained close by to Sub. "Laaade..." Psy spoke up silently.

I rubbed the back of my head. I'll just let this play out...for now. "Alright, thanks Telia. I'll take it from here." I said.

"Voir." Telia teleported off and appeared next to Sub within the illusion.

"I guess you're ready, right?" I asked Weavile.

"Wea vile." The Weavile said, giving a nod. I took my position on the other side of the field.

Sub stood there and watched his plan begin to unfold. The presence of both Telia and Psy by his side alerted him to Blizz's suspicions as their temperment made it obvious. He reassured the Psychic types by putting a hand on both of their shoulders, which should go unnoticed by Blizz since he appeared to him as ice. Regardless, he was aware Blizz could feel the massive amounts of Celestial Chi, really the Cold One would have to be one pathetic excuse for a hybrid not to feel it. Unfortunately there was little he could do to hide this, as the chi was that of the Dark variant, if it were a Psychic based he could easily mask it, but the Dark type of Celestial Chi was a little bit pronounced, oh well, they just had to distract Blizz more so he would pay it less mind. For now though, things seemed fine, so he watched.

Odd could tell something was wrong the moment Blizz woke up. He shouldn't have expected anything less, really. Blizzard was one of the most experienced Hybrids he knew about so if the Articuno hybrid couldn't pick up on a large quantity of chi in the area, there had to be something wrong with him. As it was, however, he continued attempting to mask his own chi to disguise the disguise he had made out of it.

"If you're ready to actually battle now, I'll make the first move. Marowak, use Bone Rush!" He knew his best bet for surviving against Blizz was to keep him too busy to think of a strategy. What better way than to get right up close and personal?

Beat's bone club grew longer, taking on a light blue glow as it became a bo staff composed of Ground-type chi before the Marowak charged toward Weavile in an attempt to strike him down. Had to make this realistic or they'd blow the whole thing before it had a chance to do any good whatsoever.

I stared in confusion. A hard full-on assault just like that? On some other trainers, that may be the way to go. Get someone to go on a panic, which, well...probably isn't a bad idea at all depending on the skill set on the one doing it and the one taking it. For someone apprenticing at the Mahogany gym for over a decade, however, that is expected to take it? Surely one jests.

As the Marowak came down with the giant club. "Weavile! Stand your ground!" The Weavile braced itself and held up its claws to stop the attack. Sure enough when the attack landed, it hurt regardless. But that was all intentional. "Counter!" Weavile went on to shove the Marowak back to throw him off balance then went on the attempt to deliver one hard upward slash in retaliation.

And of course Beat would be thrown back by the attack, caught by Weavile's slash before he could regain his balance. The Ground-type landed several feet away, the force of the counter repelling him and the slash propelling him further.

"Marowak, get up! Use your Ice Beam!" Odd called to his partner. Beat nodded slowly as he tried to figure out what his master's plan was. It was only after a very weak spiritual nudge that he got the idea. Odd's small push to the Ground-type's soul got the plan across while being imperceptible, even to a Psychic-type.

Beat jumped to his feet after taking a few seconds to prepare himself for this. Once on his feet, he turned away from Weavile and ran, as if to escape back to his master before throwing on the Ice Beam. Using the frigid beam, he formed an ice ramp, sliding up it before forming a second and returning from his skyward climb with all the force of a rampaging Tauros. "Double Edge!" Odd knew this was a risky move if Blizz tried to have Weavile survive it. If it used Counter again, then Beat would be finished. There was no way he could survive having a move like this turned back on him.

I tilted my head in near confusion. That wasn't something that one typically sees in a gym fight. That's even crazier than what I've seen Aden pull off during his gym tour. Regardless, as tempting as it was to have Weavile go for another Counter attack, it wasn't like he was a damage sponge like say a Wobbuffet would be. I didn't want to risk it. I was going to overtax that attack that he was trying to pull, nonetheless.

As the Marowak came on down the icy ramp, Weavile took a few steps back. "Weavile! Ice Punch!" One would have been stupid to think I didn't teach an Ice attack to this Pokemon of all things. Weavile then kicked forward, rushing down the ice to meet the Marowak head on, his claws glowed an icy blue. As the Marowak got close, Weavile met head on with his claws.

Odd cringed when Weavile decided to fight back hard and fast. That was not the plan. Beat's fate proved it when the attacks met. The Double Edge, despite the small power boost he'd hoped to get from that speed boost coming down the ramp, was met with an Ice Punch of devastating force. The Channeler knew he shouldn't have expected anything less from a Gym trainer's Pokemon and sighed as he recalled Beat, the Ground-type's upper body encased in ice. The aura of chi he'd produced during his attack had done little to protect him from his Dark-type opponent's proficiency with it's own natural element. "Return, Marowak." He said quietly, apologizing inwardly to his partner for failing to think that through.

"I won't make that mistake again." He warned as he freed up another Pokeball and held it in his hand. It was after only a moment that he released the ball into the air and released his Klang onto the field. "Klang, Shift Gear!" He ordered immediately, attempting to impart the current plan to his new Pokemon in the same manner as he had to Beat. Rhythm wasn't quite as easy to connect with and he was still struggling with the attempt when the Steel-type obeyed, his gears beginning to buzz and grind before they began to turn at twice their previous speed. The Klang's core began to glow as electricity was pumped into faster, though neither it nor the Pokemon it belonged to did anything else yet.

"Weavile! Are you alright!?" I shouted over to him.

"Weavile! Vile..." The Weavile started to shake his arm a bit, as if his arm went completely numb after the two attacks collided.

"Shake it off if you can, Weavile, this isn't over yet! Besides! Be glad that you weren't hitting a thicker skull than that! It could have been considerably worse!"

My eyes narrowed a bit. Too many coincidences. I'm pretty convinced this battle isn't all that it seems. It was just about tempting to unleash all hell right now for someone trying to play me for a fool; an emotion that stirred that Telia and Psy once again picked up on and looked towards Sub about. This was falling through kind of fast. Regardless, I was still going to play nice, for now. At least until I can figure the reasoning behind this.

In the meantime, I crossed my arms and plotted as fast as I could as to what to do with the new Pokemon on the field. Steel types, a major fallback when it came to people coming to fight me and my teacher at the Mahogany gym. I'm not going to lie, it is a headache in and of itself dealing with them. Ice attacks doesn't do squat to the likes of them. I end up having my Ice types resort to other tactics to throw them off-kilter and then if its going real good for me, just land an Ice attack for a coup de grace just to make someone realize that using a Pokemon for the sake of defense like that isn't going to fly in the Mahogany gym, or anything afterwards like in Blackthorn or by that extension, the Elites. But then, this isn't a Pokemon league fight...

"Weavile! Screech!" I shouted.

The Weavile breathed in deep then unleash an ungodly shrill, one that even made me wince. I was going to try to rock this steel type to its very core.

From the looks of things, especially how Weavile had endured Beat's Double Edge so easily, or so it would seem, Odd guessed he'd have to amp this up a bit. He needed to make this look more convincing. Treat this like a proper gym match and employ an actual strategy. Though before he could employ much of one, the Screech was unleashed.

Rhythm froze up for a second as the sound assailed it's solid body, though it's Steel form resonated with the sound. The gear Pokemon managed to begin turning properly after a few strained seconds of fighting through the sound of the shrieking Ice-type. Odd called an order over the din, ears covered by his hands in an attempt to block out the sound and failing miserably. "Mirror Shot!"

He wasn't sure if the Klang had heard him or not until the Pokemon's metal surface began to glimmer. The light reflecting off all of the ice around them came back on the Steel-type, who turned it back on it's foe, channeling chi into it's body until it fired off like a cannonball forged from light at the source of it's misery.
