Kefka shook his head.

"If we were to scramble, they'd comm us. Probably just a drill or something for the techs."

Orrin found himself assisting the techs as much as possible. Being with them and delivering the coils had proved its value; he knew exactly what was going on as much as they did. But being a pilot, he also recieved the quick and dirty on his own squadron's eventual place in the evac, should their services be required.

Equiptment being disassembled, everyone scrambling, memories of Yavin IV flew back to him...

Orrin took little notice of what he was to do. Already in his flight gear, he had the idea of where to assemble by being dragged by several pilots on his own. Pilots one and all had gathered around a familiar face, that of Organa's. Her speech had already been partially over, but Orrin had been able to catch the last remaning parts.

"Emerald Squadron will protect the Ion cannon, while Ruby shall attack the main assault force." She said, giving out the quick brief. Then came the spiel.

"All troop carriers will assemble on the North Entrance. The heavy transport ships will leave as soon as they are loaded. Only two fighter escorts per ship. The energy shield can only be opened for a short time, so you'll have to stay very close to your transports."

"Two fighters against a Star Destroyer?" A pilot asked aloud.

"The Ion cannon will fire several shots to make sure any enemy ships will be out of your flight path. When you have gotten past the energy shield, proceed directly to the rendezvous point. Understood?"

Everyone cheered in unison. Leia gave a quick "good luck" and every pilot was sent racing to their speeders.

Orrin was the best gunner in the entire squadron, as he had proven over the last few months of service, Followed by Kefka. He had heavy doubts that the supposed "leader" would take up the gunning seat, but perhaps vailiance would prevail. Orrin managed to get to the Speeders, ready to breif his fellow pilots should they need it.

Zendia also listened in on the plan, as described by her fellow Alderaanian Leia Organa. She then went to her x-wing, where some techs were allready at work loading Rusty aboard. "I'll be back soon, boy," she said to her loyal droid friend. The little droid gave an acknowledging beep as she darted to the speeders.

"Roger!" Zendia cried, darting to her and Azure's speeder. "let's get in the air," she said to the twi'lek lady.

"Yes sir," Azure said. Sheh got into the gunning position of the speeder. "Saph, you go get that X-wing ready for when were through here." the droid whistled and left. "Let's kick some Imperial but!
" she said as the canopy closed.

If Zendia had but any regrets in her young life, it was that she wasn't the one to sink the Death Star. "I second that. I still owe them for Alderaan," she said, her features hardening into a determined expression. "Let's go," she said, taking the speeder out of the hangar.

"Cut the chatter guys. We got the Ion Cannon. The AT-ATs supposedly are heading straight for the Power Generators, but who knows if they'll brake off or not," Orrin said, from the back seat of his speeder as it zoomed out of the hangar.
