How can you just make it so there is no magic? I can understand grounding spells as they're cast, but...

He is a countermage, he is sitting there countering every magical effect that starts in the area. Since he is not bothering to see where it comes from, it stops allied as well as enemy.
He cant stop Shouyin though, he cant detect his magic.

Sounds like a full time job, like casting his own spell. I hope he can't multitask and do all kinds of things. Might help for him to post that he countered a spell, rather than declaring that all spells no matter what are undone.

Yeah, he cant do anything else while he is doing it. He posted right before he left that nascen was prepared to counter each and every spell that popped up and do it constantly. Therefore untill he logs back on and does something else, every spell cast in the area he is in is countered by him.
