Is it really the anniversary? How fitting that my article make the return to the Press at such a time... And a little ironic, although that could just be my thesaurus messing around with my head.

Yes, it's the anniversary. Doesn't really seem like it though.
-insert reminiscing here
And why ironic?
I dunno-- it felt ironic an hour ago... but now... >_>

Whatever. I'm just glad to be back into things. It's nice to have an obligation which doesn't have anything to do with school. -_-

A three-nod.

She couldn't help but agree, even if she did not have many obligations for school. At least, compared to some.

Come to my house tommorow and force me to write my column. How fitting that I just berate America on president's day.

If I could.

She still had school tomorrow. Unfortunately.
She'd much rather be working on her current Gaia-project.
She thought President's Day was usually off?

I'll get to miss school if it's icy. But not because of President's Day.

Banner for Rushifa needed.

Heck yeah. We've got a minimum of 3 columns this issue.

It's going to be a long one.

I'll have to make time to work on these things.

A banner for Rushifa's Reviews?

She was going to have to check the difference between La Revue and Rushifa's.

Ok, I have at least 4 BOI essays for our Beyond the Box this issue. Where do you want me to post it?

Ok, well my column for this month is there, I also have the secondary bonus column excerpt there as well. I even spruced up my header by adding my picture to it.

For her column, if it makes it.

I noticed. I even told the other columnists they could use their pics if they wanted to.

Uhh... Put it... in the Draft thread, in one of your own posts. Or, if you have the title and credits and editing, the whole layout finished and the entire project is done, then you can insert it into the draft under the Beyond the Box banner.

I've a feeling this will be a 3 post issue. whee

Note to self: Dad wants me to look up "Pell Grant." May get to eventually.

As far as the banner goes, do you happen to know what font was used on the others? Well, one of what I believe were two fonts used.

And for Pell Grants, I'm not sure if this is what your dad was talking about, but I think it is a federal grant that provides funds based on the student's financial need, for every eligible undergraduate student who hasn't already earned a bachelor's or professional degree.

Ah! 3nodding Thank you. He's probably hinting at something...

Anyway, it seems that every one of our submissions this go around is worthy of publication. So! I need some staffies to go to the mounds, where all the submissions are posted, and name some favorites. Also, some of them have minor typos that need fixing. Radioactive alchemist, I know, had a few. There was another piece too, where I saw some. And I only skimmed through most of them. gonk Oh dear.

...I'm probably going to have to print some of these out and do it during the day, just to finish. *sigh* Labors of love...

And we'll have to do this fast; Best of Issue and Runner Up(s) voting needs to begin soon.

When does everything need to be done?
I know this is a short month, so it'd have to be soon, but do you have any exact dates?
I've a half-day Friday, so I'd be more than able to work on anything then, but I've stuff going on after school every other day of the week.
How did someone who hated extra-curriculars end up with afternoons full?
Also, I can always print them out and work on them during school. It's not like we do much during those seven or so hours anyway.
I'll try to work on everything tomorrow, all right?
Past my bed-time right now, so I have to be heading off.

How many pieces will go into the issue?

Yeesh... that's a lot of pieces. confused

I'll start working on the typos from the bottom up, and post the ones I finish before I go to sleep. Should I PM you, Serieve, with them when I'm finished, or post 'em somewhere here?
PostPosted: Wed Feb 22, 2006 8:24 pm

Pieces that are completely edited/have no noticable mistakes go into the Oasis.

I have absolutely no idea how many pieces will be used. I'll probably set a quota for each of the two sections. Something like 5 poems and... 3-5 prose, depending on their lengths.

As for a date... the 25th would be ideal, but as always, it's more of a guideline than a deadline.

Okay. No time to print anything out right now, so I'll have to find time later. It's about 29 pages worth anyway, with a whole bunch of unnecessary stuff cut out and all the text shrunk down to a size 10.

Good luck to everyone. heart We're doing good this month. Really good.

wow, everything seems to be working really well this month; I'll have to get back in to the habit of checking the guild daily. I'm sorry I haven't been on as much, but I've had lots of homework this week. I'll try to get around to editing some of the submissions this week. I figure if I use it as a break from homework, I can at least get some done. Same goes for my column, although I have a pretty good idea how I'm going to reformat it.

Oh, and I think Radioactive alchemist is a friend of mine, so someone else should edit their piece/s, I suppose.
