Hehe...I was also transferred...So was Charlie...and Invi attended Durmstrang. This guild rocks.
I also remember that comic...I have a certain affection for my comics...we need a place to display them....maybe we can keep them with the chocolate frog cards... Also, the Hogwarts express...I keep saying I want to keep it, but it keeps getting remade. Can we PLEASE keep it this time?

My first idea for a HPGoG Chocolate Frog Card aka Famous Witches and Wizards Card...
I wanted to add in the description "Pinkie enjoys zombies, chatting, donation items, and caption contests" but it wouldn't fit... sweatdrop

Your comics should still be in the old issues of the Hogwarts Monthly...

On the Hogwarts Express: Whatever everyone thinks is best is fine with me. I asked for input because I wanted it deleted, but I wasn't sure what everyone else thought, esp. Love who put the time in setting it up. Besides I thought we should delete the one in the Great Hall because it's not really a full Express thread (my fault there) and it seemed as if it got started late, and then no one really knew what was happening. Luckily we have five mods which means there won't be a tie which could create a problem. With what KT said the current Express thread doesn't really have room for that I think. I'm trying to remember all this at the top of my head so some facts may be off. I am perfectly okay with being overruled though. The current one (or if a new one is created) will be the official thread. The one Eow and I did a year ago kinda was thrown together to fit the term and the current one was kinda a practice to see if we can get it together. On Teachers: Last term was really hard to put together for a number of reasons: primarily activity. When we decided to go ahead and set everything up, the most active people were the first years. I've seen members who have been teachers before not set up/update their classes. Which is why I like the point deduction system: Teachers volunteer for those positions and if (I think last time it was a month) they don't post a lesson, that's the same as a student not doing homework or something, and it's only fair if points are deducted. Thus the whole revised teacher feedback form will help us a lot in determining things. Also I like Alutian's idea, but my concern is what would be the basis for the doubts? Is it based on how much we've seen them around the guild? On the whole I agree we need to upgrade our Teaching system and such. Just make sure we have all the rules covered and whatnot. (Adding one thing: The point thing only happened once, I think it was originally planned to happen at the most twice but it turned out that the point deduction worked for the most part. I also think that if it gets to be a problem then the HoH should determine whether or not the student should be allowed to teach. With that I think we need to add a part in teh teacher application that says would the HoH mind or something. We are using the old Teaching Application, and I think when we start the updating processes that should be one of the things we add stuff to. On Sorting: I thought there was one question about which house they wouldn't want to be sorted in... when I sorted that house was automatically eliminated. I've read the sorting test ten times and I feel that the questions are so obvious you can tell for the most part which one fits which house. It kinda gives members the upper hand too. Some people though were not sorted into Houses they preferred most because of the unbalance of the house lists. Last summer when we were trying to get everything running again the biggest thing was getting the Houses an equal opportunity for activity and such (mass sorting. I'm not totally against resorting because in some cases it may be for the best. However I absolutely agree with the whole if it comes up that they want to get resorted they get the HoHs permission, and go through a process. If not then every one who wants to be in Gryffindor but ends up in Hufflepuff will be scrambling for a resorting. At least that's my prediction.
BTW, Sorting opens up tomorrow: will the new test be ready, or do you want to temporarily use the old one?

I admit that when we first opened the thread in August and the results were sooo good (ten pages!) it was intended to keep it. However, a dreadful mistake on my part ruined it. (I was trying to update it and prepare for the end of term and when I was trying to delete a post, being preoccupied I deleted the thread). Then it was remade for the End of Term and that presented some issues because first it wasn't opened at the right moment, and then it wasn't annouced until much later.. Thus the three pages. What I propose is not to save that one because it isn't much, and to create a new permanent one *yes it will be permanent* will be the best option because then we can reserve the entire first page and make sure we have everything squared away. Like I said before the one now was done in a rush because there was some confusion about the end of term. However if the vote is to keep the one we have that's in the Around Hogwarts subforum then that will be the permanent one and we'll work with what we have. I prefer if we remake it, but I don't mind if we keep it. My opinion may be biased but I don't think removing the one we have now permanently and recreating a new one will make much difference since the Coming Express was deleted. Obviously if everyone thinks we should keep it it should be kept.
Chocolate Frogs! I like that idea! When I first read it in another post I felt it could work in the trophy room (not created yet) but then after reading Angil's post I think that if we put both ideas together we can find a place for it *UNnamed thread* that could go in Spinner's End maybe. I don't know just yet, but I think those are things we can add to the work in progress stuff. I like KT's templates.
(So many ideas and concerns and stuff are flowing through my head right now it's causing a minor over thing)

I just double checked something (terms are based on ten week periods) and while checking that I saw that I've been doing something wrong in regards to sorting. The way I was told a looonnng time ago seems different from what it written in the post. It says that people can apply all through term... I thought it was they could only apply during the sorting dates. Is that wrong or something? If it's wrong then I've been editting posts I shouldn't have been editting in regards to sorting, and I need to begin correcting that.

If you'd like, I can do up some shiny frog cards... Alas, don't really know the members, so I'd need someone to send me the avatars and information... Alternately, if one of you has photoshop, I could just make a layered template. Just promise me you'll use a nice DPI when you add the avatars. XP pixelation is eeeeevil.
How about I do a mock one, and if y'all agree it is shiny, I'll do more?
Also, regarding teacher thing... why not have a thorough interview like you did with me? Ask them questions, see how they respond, see if it takes them 4 days to respond, see if they put little to no effort into responding, etc. etc. I think I read somewhere that teaching positions would be on a first come first serve basis... obviously, that's a bad way to select applicants. razz

That's right I used to be in Ravenclaw, but after talking to Grey I realized that I belonged in Slytherin, and I was transferred to it after Marille left.
Also, I have photoshop. And I know the importance of all the members KT listed....to name a few...
Grey_Temerity Grey was our guild's first ever graduate. A loyal member of Slytherin house, he was almost always in the common room. After his graduation, his classmates began to see less and less of him as he persued a career in the ministry of magic. In February 2006, paired with Geo Storm, he successfully stole the guilds sorting hat, forcing it to be revised and make sorting more fair, leaving "The Snake, The Rose, And The Open Seas" behind as a clue. He has promised to occasionally drop by for a visit.
Iviticus_88 An exchange student from Durmstrang, he was never sorted and resided in a room in the lower floors of the castle. He came to Hogwarts on a mission to map out every inch of the school. He spent abundant amounts of time in the library, and left after an incident surrounding a book Angilwingz found, and the Devil's Niece. He has rarely been seen since.
GeoStorm Miscontent with her position as a house elf, Geo Storm aided Grey Temerity in the theft of the Sorting Hat. She was later sorted into Ravenclaw where she continued to cause trouble. At one point she even released all the animals in Hope Maxim Hagrid's posession. She spends a lot of time in detention now and has said she will behave.

I'm gonna have to stick with KT's design. It looks more HP-related. I love the idea of having those around so we could commemorate everyone who contributed to this great guild.

That would be filler text using nonsensical Latin.
It would seem the initial design is far more popular, so should I attempt to make one more pentagonal and fix up whatever else is giving the piece such a poor review?
