It's not even like that. They're nothing like each other. Seriously, the only characters that look remotely like clones are Toon Link and Ganon.

They just aren't clones. It isn't even a Mario/Luigi situation. They just aren't clones.
You're ******** crazy. Just because you say it doesn't make it true. How aren't they clones? I can see why they did it with Luigi. He pretty much has to be in the game, and there isn't really anything else they can do with him. Whereas Lucas, Falco, and Wolf are completely uneccesary to the game. Yeah...
They just aren't clones. They have almost completely different move sets, different playstyles, different weights.
Saying they are even Luigified clones is even a stretch. The only thing completely the same is their FS, and the only things sort of similar are their specials.
Unnecessary? You don't seem to know how requested each of those characters were.

Brawl" pushed the game back twice, and Sakurai couldn't get creative with the characters, has got to piss you off or annoy you a little. If he put as much into the characters as he did the Subspace Emissary or Spectator Mode or Stade Builder, then we wouldn't have this debate. TtheHero Tatsuman

Do I seriously have to break it down move by move? I really would rather not.
Also, the delay was more than warranted. They didn't have enough copies. Would you rather release it and not get a copy while everyone else has one?

I haven't seen too much, but from what I can tell his side B is used completely differently (going diagonally up), his neutral B is slow as hell, his A moves are pretty much entirely different (I haven't studied that closely, actually) Falco, I'm afraid he may be a bit more clone-ish than I hope. Aren't Lucas and Ness's A moves completely different, too? Their B moves work quite differently too, from what i can tell. Well that may be true for Lucas and Ness...but take a look at their FS's. The same. The name is like "something something 1" and "something something 2". He couldn't even think of different names.

We already said they have clone FSs. Not as bad as Fox, Falco and Wolf's FSs though...

I guess Egg's definition of a 'clone' is a lot looser than mine and Tat's.
According to him, if they are at all similar in any way then they are clones.
In my opinion, if they play very noticeably differently (like, one is speeedy and the other is as slow as Bowser. Or their A moves are very different but their B moves are similar) then they are not clones. Maybe edits, but I wouldn't even say that.
That's fine, but eggs is wrong I just can't see how he can complain about a few 'clones'. A clone or two won't really harm the game at all, I mean it's better than NOT having Lucas and WW Link and Wolf.

No reason to get personal.
Damn, dude. They just aren't clones. Take any Melee clone, even Luigi (who I don't consider a clone, but whatever) and they just aren't that similar.
They have maybe 2-4 moves in common, and they don't even work the same.
But if all you're going to do is curse and insult me,
while not backing up anything you say, nor countering my arguments, we can just drop it right here.

Personally, I don't look at them as clones, to me they're either characters I may main, or just punching bags. Can we just PLEASE drop the clone debate? When Brawl comes out, you can settle your disputes in the ring, maybe Warioware, or Skyworld even, lets just drop it!If you're gonna call them edits, or whatever you're just splitting hairs, and you're completely missing the point.
