Hariyama dashed at Portabello, lowering his arm into a full body tackle. It struck the Breloom with minor damage.
"Wow, I guess all that extra training helped!" Mike smiled as he commanded his Pokemon to perform it's new move. "Sludge Bomb it!"
"Bre!" Chirped the Pokemon, launching a large purple blob of goo at the Hariyama, it connected and burst to peieces, sticking all over the fighting Pokemon. Shaking it off, the Hariyama lunged forward again, but Portabello saw it coming and hopped up over the Pokemon, then coming down with a powerful Mega Drain, sucking some health from Hariyama.

Mitsu had underestimated the girl. A mitake that could have caused her the battle. The Meditite was much quicker than she realized and it went back and fourth using Detect to protect itself and using Confusion to hit Ebony.
"Hang in there Ebony!" Mitsu called. The purple Pokemon now shone a brilliant white glow. Mitsu eyes widened and as the glow disappeared a Ghastly was no longer there. Ebony had eveloved into a Haunter. He seemed refreshed and ready to win.
"Alright Ebony!" Mitsu called. "Shadow Punch!" Ebony used his newly unattahed hands to form a fist and brought it down upon the Pokemon. The Meditite staggered a bit then fainted.
"Way to go Ebony!" Mitsu cheered. She turned to her partner. "Would Portabello need extra help?"

"You know what Mistu? I feel perfectly fine by myself, thank you." He added a smile in as he turned towards his Pokemon, pounding the life out of the Hariyama. "Finish him off Portabello, another Sludge Bomb!"
Portabello jumped back and inhaled, puffing his chest out. Soon a purple ball erupted from his mouth, sending a large stream of toxic filth rocketing towards the now shaking Hariyama. The blow connected with thunderous accuracy, and send the Pokemon skidding across the floor, it's skin singed with the acidic attack.
"Uh! Wow, you two are for real!" The kid recalled his Pokemon, completley stupified.
"So will you lead us to Brawly now?" Mike asked, adding a wink to Mitsu.
"Uh, s-sure!" The boy and girl walked off, the two trainers following closely.

"Alright." She said recalling Ebony. "I can't wait to crush Brawly with Karri's new Psychic attack."
The duo follwed behind the boy and girl and they eventually made thier way to Brawly. "Who's first?" The boy asked. "Although it won't matter since he'll crush you both." He added with a sneer.

"You mean like we trounced you?" Mike added a confident 'ha' at the sneering child. "Mitsu's first, but then me, and you better beleive I'm going to beat him, I've been in this Gym before and I know Brawly personally, he knew I would come back to battle him one day."
Mike had released Nitro, who along with Portabello, walked along Mike's side, ready to defeat Brawly and his companions.

Sasha had her Pokemon get a check-up at the Ecruteak City Pokemon Center, just to be safe. Soon the trio of Pokemon were looking healthy and the three girls set out.
After watching Nina capture her fifth Pokemon, Sasha was feeling a bit antsy to catch one too.
Soon enough, Sasha, Nina, and Sabrina were in the Gym, hoping for Nina to get a win. Sasha giggled at Sabrina's obvious annoyance at Morty. "He take you on a bad date or something?" She let out a squeak and started to laugh, wuite happy with her little comment.

It was about an hour latter and Tony was getting seriosly bored waiting for Ryka to come back. He glanced over at Alucard who looked a bit miffed at having to do nothing for a very long time and Phoenix who was asleep on his lap and finally over at Weed who was still playing with the Clefairy. Arg, this is boring and I want to spend the night in a bed tonight and not a cave. Maybe I should just go and wait for Ryka when I am in Cerulean? Tony thought about that for a moment trying to make up his mind.

"Me first, okay." She said happy to have a challenge this time. Mitsu walked up to Brawly. "I challenge you to a gym battle!"
"Challenge accepted." He replied tossing out a pokeball. A mochop erupted from the ball ready for a fight.
"This one will be easy. Let's go Karri!" She said her voice full of determination. The Psychic Pokemon reupted from it's Pokeball ready to fight and win Mitsu another gym badge.
The judge walked up to the stage and annonced the rules and regulations. "Begin!" He declared.

"Go Mitsu!" Mike cheered from the sidelines, as did Nitro and Portabello.
You can do it Karri! Nitro waved to his friend, hoping to boost her spirits a bit.
Don't worry, I bet he won't even touch you!! The Breloom hopped up and down, wanting to fight the Gym Leader himself.

"Let''s finish this one quick Karri! Psychic!" Mitsu commanded and her Pokemon happily obeyed. Karri created an aura around the Pokemon and lifted it into the air and slamming it down against the hard floor several time.
The Pokemon was dazed and then fainted. It couldn''t take double the damage with such a powerful attack.
"I underestimated you, it won''t happen again." Brawly said almost with a playful smile on his face. "Let''s go Meditite!" he said tossing the Pokeball fouth.
"Return Karri! Let''s go Ebony!"
The Pokemon each had an advantage. The second battle was on.

Tony gave a loud huff of annoyance and fell back on the wall but imediatly jumped back. "Ouch! What the?" He glanced back at the wall and glared at it a moment looking to see what had jabbed him in the back. He didn't see anything for a few moments, when he did see it his eyes widened a bit. Oh wow a real Moonstone, and one thats not being used in there cerimony. Tony glanced around a little, Weed was still playing with the Clefairy distracting them from whatever they were supposed to be doing, Phoenix was still sleeping and Alucard was looking down at the stone with a dark smirk on its face. Tony gave the small bat pokemon a quick grin before quickly poketing the stone and picking up Phoenix who just slept on he got up.
"Augh! I think I need to be getting out of this caveits driving me insane." Tony said as he streached the best he could while holding Phoenix. Some of the Clefairy in the room glanced over at him as he went over to collect Weed who Tony was silently thanking for distracting the Clefairy so that he could steal the Moonstone. Well its not really stealing... They seem to be looking for another specific Moonstone and they never said I couldn't have it. Tony reasoned as he walked out of the cavern intent on getting to Cerulean as swiftly as he could now.

"Meditite use Confusion!" Brawly conamded this time taking the first move.
The attack hit Ebony square on doing double the damage. "Ebony Spite!" Mitsu commanded. The Meditite shuddered no longer wanting to use the attack. it was the exact same stargety she used against Roxanne.
"Finish him off with a Shadow Punch Ebony!" Mitsu commanded. The Ghost Pokemon flew by and raised it''s fist.
Brawly held a smirk on his face. "Meditite Dectect!" He countered. The punch didn''t land as the Pokemon protected itself.
"Too slow. Shadow Punch once more!" Now Mitsu was the one with a smirk as Brawlys faded.
The Pokemon took double the dmange and then fainted. Brawly recalled his Pokemon and sent out his final one. A Makuhita.
"Return!" she called and then sent out karri once more. "You can do it Karri, let''s finish him!"

Mitsu wasted no time wanting the first strike. "Karri Psychic!" Mitsu called out. The aura surrounded the Makuhita and he was lifted into the air. Karri slammed him into the ground over and over again.
The Makuhita didn't seem to fair too well and managed to launch a couple Arm Thrusts at Karri doing little damage.
"One more Psychic Karri!" The Pokemon obeyed and the Makuhita fainted. "Way to go Karri!" Mitsu cried. And gave her Pokemon a hug. Brawly awarded her her Prize money, TM08 which contained Bulk up and the Knuckle Badge.
Mitsu walked to the side lines. "You're up Mike." She said happily.
