I'll probably be maining either Fox Bowser, or Mario. They say Mario is really good in Brawl, and Bowser is a lot better than he was in Melee. Everyone is talking about how Fox got nerfed really bad, but I think he will still be a viable character option.

Too many people will be maining Sonic and/or Metaknight for me to be too interested in them. Though I guess it does give a chance to rise above all the bad players. =P

Yes, I'm very aware that everyone has already said this, but I want to get some new info and all that... plus, I'm new.

So, which character are you going to try out first? Myself, I'm sticking with my bestest buddy and favorite character, Fox. He's the speed demon of all Smash, and I believe that this time, they might give him a bit more... oomph.
Either that, or Meta Knight... he's quick, and has a sword, which is cool for me. Or... Sonic. Definitely, definitely Sonic.

And, I have a surprise choice. I want to try and get good with the Pokemon Trainer.
If you think Fox needs more... oomph you obviously don't use him right.

He is so broken that in his up smash and up air alone he has more... oomph than half of the damn roster...

Damn I hate fox xp

there WILL be arson and bombings to deal with. scream

Yes, there WILL! I may be dressed as Lucas, but see this face, everyone? THIS is the face of someone who loves him some PSI Teleport (Ness/Poo's skill from Earthbound)! So they better put him in! They have a distinctly different moveset, so I believe!

Not only that, but he saved my hide when I took down Giga Bowser, Mewtwo, and Ganondorf... a grand day that was...!

And lets not forget Falco! His up air pwns if you're dense enough to get caught by it! Not only that, he jumps so dang high, even with the hammer! AAARGH!!!

I've nothing against Fox; I'd just rather use him as target practice, but that Falco... If it weren't for my friend choosing him EVERY SINGLE TIME we play, I wouldn't really dislike him so much.

Doesn't it grind your gears when somone just uses the same guy over and over again? I like Mr. G&W as much as the next person, but I still like being well-rounded, dammit!

(cools off) Sorry, got hot-headed there... gonk

Well Fox is my favorite character, but I'm an all around kind of guy. I like any character I can get used to. Like Captain Falcon I can't get used to so he's not a person I use but I do use a lot of people.

I don't know why Fox is my favorite I suck with him. I'm pretty good with Kirby, Link, and Ice Climbers though.

Falco is win though.

Want to know what I'm going to do?
I'm going to go into this game pretending I've never played Melee.

I'm going to tset every character out (even veterans because they're changed) and decide who is the most fun and who I'm best with. This way I might find a new great character I never would have thought I'd like.

Anyone else thinking of doing this or are most people deciding favorites right away?

How about G&W? You ever try using Oil Panic to its full potential?

I use everybody and yes... Oil panic is total slaughter with 3 PK Flash's I mean devestation barely fits the situation.

It'll be hard pretending you've never played such a sweet game before, but it's your call. I hope it helps you enjoy the experience better!

As for favs... I can't decide. All those characters, with their unique moves... My advice: become well-rounded, and you'll pwn anyone! That's what I'll do. But I will try mastering Wario best of all! The Greed-man rules, and his Wario Waft is rofl !

You've got good taste. Should we meet in a Wi-Fi Brawl, you'd make a worthy opponent!

I am doing essentially the same thing. Samus might be the exception because of a technicality.

I will play characters in the order I find them of interest, being a fanboy or just interested in playing style. Samus is my Melee main and basically she happens to be my favourite confirmed Nintendo character that is in Brawl Dixie Kong would get priority over her though.

I am just gonna play everyone like I did when I started playing ssb64 and Melee, it will take a long time but like allways I will find a character I am damn good with.

Or Dixie Kong... I mean she is too much to turn down.

I'm either going to use Zelda, Samus, King Dedede (If that's how you spell it), maybe Peach, or the pokemon trainer. So freaking excited!!

I wonder how she would differ from Diddy...

If I chose another DK character, probably Lanky. I loved him in DK64.
