Rita did eventually stop slapping Anael, but only once her hands started hurting badly from slapping eggshell too much. Arcesu, why did this eggpersonthing have to be so annoying? Couldn't she thank Rita for keeping her from annoying her human further? No, instead it has to hide all its soft spots so it couldn't be slapped anymore. The thought of Anael not wanting Rita to help her stop making a nuisance out of herself infuriated the Psychic, and after a moment of seething, Rita spewed out a blast of Psybeam at the eggpersonthing in frustration.

Keiko's arms went limp at this point. Rita was out of control, and she had no idea until now just how bad the problem was until she saw it first-hand. Of course, she only had a hint of Rita's wrath thanks what little bond she had with the miniature Psychic. She couldn't expect Rita to be perfect since it was caught and raised by a member of the Galaxy Club, but she had no idea just how demented Rita could be.

Right about now, Rita was wondering if anybody got the number on that freight train that just hit her.

Stored Power's circular blade ripped right through her beam of mind energy and caught her square in the lips, sending her mentally and physically reeling. Any annoyance and frustration she was feeling was just wiped clean, replaced with mind-numbing pain that was fading away only slowly.

The mind-numbing pain started to ebb away a tad bit faster. Then a bit more faster. This speed of painkilling increased, letting Rita regain control of her faculties in short order. That eggpersonthing... was it reeeaaaaaly trying to flop around like that? It kinda made her want to point and laugh, but there was something about the noise Anael was making as she uselessly Splashed about that only served to annoy Rita further. A thought crossed Rita's mind that made her smirk evilly, and she let this thought consume her, blanketing her mind and coating her body in darkness until she was invisible. Using this cover, Rita ran up to Anael and gave her one more good slap across the face for good measure, then ran back to where she was standing. The dark feeling started fading as soon as the slap was thrown, regardless of whether it hit or not, but Rita made it back to her spot before her body became visible again.

Keiko's heart wrenched when Anael cried. Deciding she's endured enough of being spectator to Rita's cruelty, she waited for Rita to take the Quck Attack as the Psychic-type was contemplating why all of Kaya's pokemon had to 'be so annoying' before recalling her. Keiko would be having a LONG talk with that one, but it could wait.

Aster was released from his ball in short order, and the Bug-type, stared at Josephine stoically, ready to accept the Normal-type's advance. As he waited, he executed his Reflect technique, allowing a shimmering light to encase his body which would protect him, to a degree, from Physical moves.

Josephine sauntered back to her side of the field after striking Rita, spinning around proudly before staring down her replacement. When she saw the Ledian that replaced the Psychic-type, she gave a toothy grin, preparing to charge in. "Shadow Ball." Kaya said, already familiar with the effects of Reflect. He'd be at a disadvantage if he tried to push the offensive with physical attacks for a few rounds so best to keep to a ranged battle for now and wait it out. Josie nearly choked on her own tongue as she tried to restrain the growl in her throat. She wanted to battle her way and this human, as nice as he was to her, was holding her back. Deciding to give him one last chance to redeem himself, she obeyed and charged up a ball of black energy, firing it at Aster like an ethereal cannonball.

"Crap...." Kaya sighed as Aster raised a doubled layer of defense. This was going to prove itself a very long battle. "Alright, Josie. Use Trump Card."

That was it. That was all Josephine was going to take. This was not the time for a tricky maneuver like that. Giving a shake of her head, she charged towards Aster, a cloak of white energy engulfing her body and she turned her chi into a double edged sword, tackling Aster with everything she had in an attempt to hurt the Bug.

"I told you not to rely on Double Edge!" Kaya cried as Josie disobeyed him and used the attack anyway.

Kaya realized only too late that he had been completely wrong about this battle. Between the combination of recoil from landing the blow and the force of Josie meeting the power of Aster's fist, she went down in one hit. It didn't help that the Bug's fist was hardened further by the layer of Reflect still in play.

"I told her....." He sighed as he recalled her to her ball. With only Nigel left to battle, the man looked to him and looked back to Keiko. "That makes three." He admitted, counting Ballast's charge into the battlefield as one of his Pokemon for the battle.

"No, I'm certain there isn't much point continuing at the moment. My only two remaining Pokemon aren't likely to last very long at this point. But would you mind doing this again sometime soon?" He asked, wanting to work with his team a bit more before trying another training battle.
