Kasiya sat on a fallen log, nibbling on some trail mix and contemplating the next Pokemon to capture. She leaned back and stretched, her PokeNav slipped out of her pocket and landed with a soft thud in a clump of grass. She bent down to pick it up, and sighed, looking at it with a sad expression. They probably haven't even tried calling, she told herself, and switched it on.

Riiiinnnnnnng! It started ringing almost immediately, and Kasiya nearly dropped it again in shock. After an amusing juggling routine, she got a firm grip on it and answered.

"Hello?" she asked quietly.

"Kasiya!" He almost shouted into the phone, thrilled to hear her voice, how are you?

"Char Char!" cried Nitro, uppon hearing that it was Kasiya on the Nav.

"Cloyster!" Shiver mimiced, for he too missed his trainer friend.

Titanium decided to join in and let out a deep throated roar, which startled them all a bit.

"Yeah, those are my Pokemon, hehe. How are you and your Pokemon doing?" He asked, a smile on his face.

Kilik ran inside the center, his footsteps tapping loudly on the linoleum floor. "Nurse Joy! I just..." he took a deep breath, "I just caught a Koffing!" he slammed the Pokeball onto the counter, laughing slightly.

"Well, congrats to you, Kilik," she smiled brightly. He blinked.

"I...never told you my name," he said, brushing his black hair out from his eyes.

"My second cousin is the Joy in Lavender Town. She overheard your conversation with that other girl about your trip down here."

"I see..." he said, looking down at his Flareon. He bent down and whispered to his Flareon, "I don't get it either, buddy," He stood back up. "Well, could you heal him? He kinda got beat up during the battle," Kilik picked up his Flareon, "And he needs a check up. Just to be safe."

"All right then, Kilik," her voice was soft as she took Flareon in her arms and picked up the Pokeball that Koffing resided in. She disappeared into the back room. The boy spun around and sat down on the couch.

"I got a Koffing," he said over and over in a sing-song voice.

Venerax watches the loopy trainer run off, leaving behind the Potion. Strange girl. Venerax shakes his head and picks up the Potion. Calculas needs some healing, I need to get to the Pokecenter. Venerax walks down the road his shoes squishing as he walked. And I need to dry off He sighs as he walks through the automated doors of the Pokecenter.

"Afternoon Nurse Joy," Venerax waves as he enters the Pokecenter.

"Afternoon," She looks Venerax up and down. "What happened to you?"

"A freak shower, it caught me so off guard I fell flat on my face, and unfortunately I think my Porygon who was standing beside me got struck lightning, he really needs a hand."

"Oh dear," Nurse Joy looks worried. "I didn't hear thing."

"Neither did we, until it was right on top of us," He hands Nurse Joy, Calculus' Pokeball. "Please take good care of him? I'm going to go dry out."

She nods. "I will."

Venerax walks over near a heater to dry off while Calculus is being helped.

Whistling to himself, Kilik sat with his right leg over his left knee. He was shaking his foot. There was a ding. He turned around and to see none other than Nurse Joy and his two Pokemon. Or...one Pokemon and a Pokeball. He jumped up and ran over, taking the Pokeball in his hand. Flareon jumped from Nurse Joy's grip and sat on the floor by his trainer, rubbing his leg affectionatly. "Come on out, Koffing!" he laughed, tossing the ball into the air. A bright white light emitted from the ball. Hovering before them was the purple Poison Pokemon.

"Koffing!!" it cheered. Kilik put the Pokeball on his belt and jumped up. He wrapped his arms around Koffing and floated there for a second. He then pulled Koffing against him and smiled.

"Thanks, Joy. He looked great," he said, holding Koffing out at arm's length.

"My pleasure, Kilik." She turned to go back to the counter. The boy looked at her.

"Are...are there any Gyms you could recommend for me, Joy?" he looked at her with a confused look on his face. He let the Koffing float over to Flareon, where they talked in their own little language.

"Let's see..." she said, bringing up a map on the computer, "Might I suggest the Celadon City Gym?" A smiled spread across his face.

"Celadon?!'" he repeated, "That's where my dad got my Eevee!" he said happily, looking at his Flareon, "What types does the leader use?"

"Well, Erika uses Grass types. So, a Fire and Poison type Pokemon would have no problem at all." Kilik grinned widely.

"Come on, guys. We're off to Celadon City!" he laughed, heading out the front door and toward the train station.

"Yeah, she's with me, althought I really wish you and Nina were too, it's so much more fun when you are around Kasiya." He looked at his Pokemon, both hanging onto Titaniums's horns as the Steelix rotated his head 360 degrees to try to shake them off.
