You know you're a band geek when...
You start comparing, with your other band geek friends, the quality of other band's performances at your state festival.
Most of your friends are band geeks. xD
You belt out a band song on an amusement park ride because it fits perfectly to the ride. XDD (Vesuvius by Frank Ticheli on Pompeii at Busch Gardens, VA.)
You love classical music.

Uh, you know when you are a band geek when the only parties you go to are with your band friends?
.. uh, yeah.. lolz, got one something like that "you know you're a band geek when all the parties you go to are in the band room"

You know you're a band geek when you talk to your instrument...and you swear you got a response!(guilty, very guilty)
You know you're a band geek when you go on a 2month long trip in a motor home and half your suitcase is filled with all the sheet music you ever owned.(But you bought your instrument in your carry on bag. xd )Guilty.

DiddleFreak61387 You know you're a band nerd when you start to sing past shows and your friends join in. My friends did that once, they were walking down the hall way and one asked how this part in one song goes, and they got to it and on the next downbeat they all busted into last year's show.. haha we do this all the time. people stare at us like we're crazy, so then we scram BAND NERDS and find somethng to do a *buhbuhbuh* since there's usually not any drums around xp

M e r r i c k When you can relate to ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE of the previous statements. (*bangs head on wall* This is really kind of pathetic...) yes, i believe everyone here is guilty of these.. i'm gonna copy/paste/print these and post them in the band hall !!!

xd before football games everyone is basically hangin out in the band room in their underwear

You know you are a band nerd if your friday night consists of a stadium filled with hundreds of people, you in a uniform wearing spandex underneath and other band nerds in the stadium or on the sidelines watching you play.
You know you are a band nerd if your teacher calls you to answer what does X mean in the equation and you say Right foot Minus 1!
You know you are a band nerd when you enter the H & H music store and the Clerk calls you by your nick name.
You know you are a band nerd if you just absolutely love band.

You know your a bnad nerd when you play two instruments and have at least 100 peices of sheet music.
When youve reqruted all of your non-band friends into band or dance team which is always in band.
Whenever you hear music your fingers twitch no matter what kind of music.
When you just laugh at your friends who are geniuses on their insdtruments cant make a single noise come out of your flute.

I didn't do it . . . but someone else did sweatdrop i was gonna do that, but i think my BD burned the old ones... uhmmm You know your a band nerd when you know the tone of the school Bell Mines F major Your know your a band geek when you and your friend are walking down the hall when you realize your not in step and you try to fix it.

You know you're a band nerd when:
*You consider playing your sheet music from 1906 for solo ensemble
*you have vintage sheet music (by vintage I mean pre-1940's) that you got from another band nerd (or orchestra/colorgaurd) who in turn got it fron ANOTHER band nerd...
*You have a tan line related to your isntrument, especially if it's from your neckstrap
*you laugh your a** off at genius brass players who can't get a snoise out of your sax/clarinet, but you can get just fine sounds out of their brass
*You avoid getting a job in the fall because it would interfere with band
*You have shows past AND present on your mp3 player
*you feel bad for anyone who can't read music
*someone tells you they're a drummer, and you immeadiately wonder what's wrong with them (because you know, for a fact, that all drummers are crazy IN SOME WAY)
*You have a file called "The Band Bible" on your computer or printed out
*None of this seems strange

DiddleFreak61387 You know your a band nerd when you dream about marching band... Jesus Christ..... last year...for the first few marchin shows i ever did...i would go to sleep right when i got home....but i would have these weird dreams that i was still at band....i was only half asleep though...and i would think i wasnt allowed to lay down....so for half the night, i'd be half asleep and sitting straight up in my bed holding my hands in front of me thinking i'm playing my clarinet you know you're a band geek when....you call your band director to find out song selections from now to 5 years away just so you can start to practice.

Betcha didn't know that was it's name. xd Ha...I got kicked the other day for that...I just started marching last saturday...today was my first show...wooot...I still don't have all the lingo down I guess...
