Well, Naoki began, looking down to them. They come from here... He blinked his eyes, another set of chopsticks appearing before him. The boy smiled rather excitedly before they disappeared. That is what you meant, right? he asked, looking to the other, tilting his head.
Throwing knives, Ginger repeated with a nod. Anything you plan on throwing them at? she asked with a slight chuckle before shaking her head. Forgive me, that was a pretty bad... joke, I guess. She looked around the store before spotting a small rotating rack of zippos. Ooh, she smiled.

Lilly stared, openmouthed, the food forgotten for a moment. "How- how did you do that?" A memory tickled in the back of his mind, and he shoved it instinctively away; the memories of that time were best kept locked up.

It was odd, being back here after so long. It was even odder to come upon a place that they had never been before. Then again, they had mostly just gone to the coffee shop, the gardens, and of course, the cemetery.
Jin was curious if anyone would remember them, they had been a bit reclusive. Add that to the fact that they had changed their names, in an attempt to make a new start, practically guarantied that they would have been forgotten. He wished he would be able to find Desiree; he had left without even telling her. They hadn't been a couple, but they had been friends, and had liked her more than a little bit.
Krisha, on the other hand, was ecstatic. She had made no connections before, choosing to spend her time trying to find a place to live. It hadn’t worked, but she had had fun trying. Maybe, just maybe, it would be different this time.
Upon entering, the pair walked quickly to the food court. The flight had left them starving, and they had yet to find a place to live. “Oh quit it Jin. Your being a worry-wart.” Krisha said, using a sing song voice on the second sentence. “I’ll tell you what, you perk up and I’ll buy you Chinese food. Mmmmm rice.” Krisha really did hate seeing her older brother so miffed.
Jin on the other hand, was more apprehensive than miffed. “Fine, and then, we go straight to looking for a home.”
And that was that. The two walked down the booth for the food and placed their order. It was only a few minutes before they were sitting down munching happily.

My daddy, Naoki began, his smile slowly fading. He gave me this ability. The boy pressed his lips together and looked to Lilly, smiling a rather goofy smile. He stuck his chopsticks in his rice and picked up a piece of orange chicken with his fingers, putting it in his mouth and chewing carefully. Can't you do the same? he asked after swallowing.

Jasorne lifted a knife from a displaying case and nodded, he was sure this onew as the one he wanted. Jasorne then looked back to see what his friend was doing and while she scanned through zippos, he joined her. "See any you like?", he asked her.

I don't smoke or have any particular need for one, she started as she examined them, slowly turning the display. But I would love to get one for a friend. I'm just not sure which one to get him.

Very moody, she laughed. He has a pretty bad temper and he isn't usually very nice. Ginger took a deep breath and shrugged. If it helps any, he's... well, a fallen angel.

Lilly swallowed heavily and shook his head, looking down at his food. "Nope, nothing like that. Certainly not from my father. Fathers are- they're hard. I guess; i dunno, actually. Anyway... daijoubu, right? So are you Japanese?" His chopsticks were poised above the plate, ready to resume shovelling food should the topic of fathers come back up.

Very difficult, Naoki agreed with a stern nod. And yes, I'm Japanese. Can you tell? he asked with a smile. Kokuseki wa doko? the boy grinned.

"Your name, mostly" Lilly said, thinking furiously.'Doko' was 'where,' wasn't it? But what does kokuseki mean?? "I'm drawing a blank," he confessed, resuming his meal, "What did you just say?"

The boy smiled. I asked what your nationality was, he answered. I try not to speak in Japanese, but sometimes it happens. Naoki continued picking at his food with his fingers, an almost gleeful expression on his face. You are not Japanese, correct?

"Correct," Lilly said with a grin. "I'm plain old American; i've only ever been outside the country to Mexico, and that was only to Cancun, so it didn't even really count. As for my ancestry, it's mostly sugar planters from France- the dark skin comes from a long forgotten mistress of the master of the plantation. Or so i've been told." He took a few bites, reflecting. "What brought you to America?"

Razor Sharp Kisses Chiyoko glanced at the receipt and gasped softly. That's lots of zeros! she exclaimed with a frown. Takasugimasu! Daijobu, Hirohito said with a small laugh, shaking his head as he dismissed it, tossing the receipt into the garbage bin right outside of the botique. It's nothing, really, he assured her before linking his arm through hers, leading her away from the store. What to look at now...? he asked.

I am in America? he asked excitedly, looking around. I did not know that. My father put me here. Naoki looked down sadly for a moment. He doesn't like me much. The boy shook his head, trying to forget about his father. So you have French heritage? he asked, looking up to Lilly in an attempt to change the subject from himself.
Ohhhh, Chiyoko started, looking to the right and then the left. I do not want Hiro-kun to buy me anything else, so I cannot choose. The girl looked to Hirohito and smiled brightly. You go where you want.
