Maybe you just show up to enroll, having no clue that the academy is under attack. If you show up at the front entrance, you may be recruited last-minute to help.

Well, he should have already been at the school and just got a promotion to the Junior X-man team. Maybe have Cyclops or someone come get him to help with the fight outside? I would help you out with my Alpha, but she is currently possessed...o.o''

Not everyone here had a chance to have big booming intro. You got the chance doooooo it.
Have your character just bust out throwing everything they got for a couple seconds, make a villain back away. Boo-ya!

Scrambler and Lady Mastermind are on the prowl.
Adelle is possessed.
Outside:
Sabertooth and Evie are locked in death threats/combats/stares.
Scalphunter was pushed to the ground by Nitemare
Arctic chilled Vertigo
Knoxx pushed Solaris so she didn’t get hit by the bullets that Scalphunter had been firing.
Vallon got into a tangle with Arclight
